2052 ἐριθεία，ας，ἡ 名词
原指因不公平待遇而求诸政府机关，在新约中的意义推测而得，近代语言学者不以它与ἔρις争吵有关，而保罗在 林后十二20，加五20 所列之恶行中ἔρις和ἐριθεῖαι并列，也显明其可能无关。然而，此说也不完全适用于保罗和他的跟随者，所以“争吵，争斗”之意不能排除（参腓一17、15），但各例中以自私，自利之意为佳。带ζῆλος嫉妒，雅三14、16。κατὰ ἐριθείαν结党，腓二3；ἐξ ἐ.出于结党，腓一17；οἱ ἐξ ἐ.结党者，罗二8。复数：“出于自私的争吵”或“骚动”，林后十二20，加五20。*
