一个（尖的）“柱子，刺”等，明确为一身体上有害的异物（民三三55），保罗暗示为他的病（见κολαφίζω－SG2852二）在有一根刺加在我肉体上，林后十二7。希塞斯使用σκ.这字带明显嘲讽为指耶稣十字架的事实，不能指保罗在此亦是这意思，因他总是用σταυρός指十字架。*
