一、字义:

A. “孩子”,与父母有关:

1. 未提及性别,太十21上;可十三12上;路一7徒七5启十二4。复数: 太七11十21下;太十八25十九29二二24(=σπέρμα,参申二五56),但σπ.与τ.形成对比,罗九7可十三12下;路一17十四26林前七14林后十二14上,下(作象征);帖前二7(象征),帖前二11(象征);提前三412五4等。列于家庭责任,弗六1(τὰ τέκνα呼格),弗六4西三20(τὰ τ.呼格),西三21


2. 由上下文可知孩子之性别:“儿子”,太二一28上;腓二22(象征);启十二5。呼格τέκνον用于对儿子有感情之称呼: 太二一28下;路二48十五31


B. 广义:复数作为“子孙后代”。Ῥαχὴλ κλαίουσα τὰ τέκνα αὐτῆς拉结哭她儿女太二18(参耶三八15)。太二七25徒二39十三33。祖宗亚伯拉罕称富人为τέκνον儿啊路十六25。τὰ τέκνα τῆς σαρκός肉身所生的儿女罗九8上。


二、喻意:

A. 呼格:为一般亲切称呼的形式,“小子我儿”,太九2可二5


B. 指对主,使徒,教师来说,是属灵的孩子,提后一2门一10。τέκνον ἐν κυρίῳ 在主里面…的儿子林前四17。τεκ. ἐν πίστει因信…作…儿子提前一2。τεκ. κατὰ κοινὴν πίστιν照着…共信之道作…儿子多一4。复数: 林前四14林后六13约三一4。用于直接谈话(呼格):单数: 提前一18提后二1。复数: 可十24加四19小子是隐喻,是表示保罗为其再受生产之苦。-假教师之党类亦称其为τέκνα,启二23


C. 指教会之成员,约二一1413。于 加四31。οὐκ ἐσμὲν παιδίσκης τέκνα ἀλλὰ τῆς ἐλευθέρας我们不是使女的儿女,乃是自主妇人的儿女,是喻意用法,表明:“我们不属旧约社团,乃属新约教会”。

  1. “父母”“儿女”之关系可能仅指有关者之间本性之相似。依此种意义,有亚伯拉罕之子孙,太三9路三8约八39罗九7。真的基督徒儿女是撒拉的子孙,彼前三6


E. 信的人是(τά)τέκνα(τοῦ)θεοῦ神的儿女(参赛六三8)。于保罗的书信中,指那些为神所收养的,罗八161721九78下(反于σπέρμα);腓二15,亦见 弗五1;于约翰,是神所生的,约一12十一52约一三1210上;约一五2。对比于神的儿女,τὰ τέκνα τοῦ διαβόλου魔鬼的儿女约一三10下。
