And as the day of Pentecost was being fulfilled, they were all together in the same place.

And suddenly there was a sound out of heaven, as of a rushing violent wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.
忽然从天上有响声下来，好像一阵暴风刮过，充满了他们所坐的整个屋子。

And there appeared to them tongues as of fire, which were distributed; and it sat on each one of them;
又有舌头如火焰向他们显现出来，分开落在他们各人身上，

And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in different tongues, even as the Spirit gave to them to speak forth.
他们就都被圣灵充溢，并且按着那灵所赐的发表，用别种不同的语言说起话来。

Now there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under heaven.
那时，有犹太人，就是从天下各国来的虔诚人，住在耶路撒冷。

And when this sound occurred, the multitude came together and was confounded because each one heard them speaking in his own dialect.
这声音一响，许多人都来在一起，各人因听见门徒用听众各人的本地话讲论，就感困惑。

And they were amazed and marveled, saying, Behold, are not all these who are speaking Galileans?
他们都惊讶希奇，说，看哪，这些说话的不都是加利利人么？

And how is it that we each hear them in our own dialect in which we were born?
我们各人怎么听见他们说我们生来所用的本地话？

Parthians and Medes and Elamites and those dwelling in Mesopotamia, both in Judea and Cappadocia, in Pontus and Asia,
我们帕提亚人、玛代人、以拦人、和住在米所波大米、犹太、加帕多家、本都、亚西亚、

Both in Phrygia and Pamphylia, in Egypt and the parts of Libya around Cyrene, and the sojourning of Rome, both Jews and proselytes,
弗吕家、旁非利亚、埃及的人，并靠近古利奈的吕彼亚一带地方的人，以及旅居的罗马人，或是犹太人，或是入犹太教的人，

Cretans and Arabians, we hear them speaking in our tongues the magnificent works of God?
革哩底和亚拉伯人，都听见他们用我们的语言，讲说神的大作为。

And they were all amazed and perplexed, saying to one another, What does this mean?
众人就都惊讶猜疑，彼此说，这是什么意思？

But others jeered and said, They are full of new wine!
还有人讥诮说，他们无非是被新酒灌满了。

And David took counsel with the captains of the thousands and of the hundreds, with every leader.
大卫与千夫长、百夫长，就是一切首领商议。

And David said to all the congregation of Israel, If it seems good to you, and it is from Jehovah our God, let us send far and wide to our brothers who remain in all the land of Israel and to the priests and the Levites who are with them in their cities with pasture lands, that they may gather themselves to us.
大卫对以色列全会众说，你们若以为美，若这事是出于耶和华我们的神，我们就差遣人走遍以色列地，见我们留在各地的弟兄们，又见和他们一起住在有郊野之城的祭司和利未人，使他们都聚集到我们这里。

And let us bring back the Ark of our God to ourselves, for we did not inquire of it in the days of Saul.
我们要把我们神的约柜运回我们这里，因为当扫罗在位的日子，我们没有在约柜前求问神。

And all the congregation said that they would do so, for the matter was right in the sight of all the people.
全会众都说，可以如此行；这事众民都看为对。

And David gathered all Israel together from the Shihor of Egypt even to the entrance of Hamath to bring the Ark of God from Kiriath-jearim.
于是大卫将以色列众人，从埃及的西曷河直到哈马口，都招聚了来，要从基列耶琳将神的约柜运来。

And David went up with all Israel to Baalah, that is, to Kiriath-jearim, which is Judah's, to bring up from there the Ark of God, of Jehovah, who is enthroned between the cherubim, which is called by the Name;
大卫率领以色列众人上到巴拉，就是属犹大的基列耶琳，要从那里将那坐在二基路伯中间之耶和华神的约柜运上来；这柜是以耶和华神的名起名的。

And they set the Ark of God upon a new cart from the house of Abinadab, and Uzzah and Ahio drove the cart.
他们将神的约柜放在新车上，从亚比拿达的家里运走；乌撒和亚希约赶车。

And David and all Israel played before God with all their strength, even with songs and with lyres and with harps and with tambourines and with cymbals and with trumpets.

And when they came to Chidon's threshing floor, Uzzah stretched out his hand to take hold of the Ark; for the oxen had stumbled.

And the anger of Jehovah was kindled against Uzzah, and He struck him because he stretched out his hand to the Ark; and he died there before God.

And David was angry because Jehovah had broken forth with an outburst upon Uzzah, and he called that place Perez-uzzah, as it is to this day.

And David was afraid of God that day, saying, How shall I bring the Ark of God to myself?
那日，大卫惧怕神，说，我怎可将神的约柜运到我这里来？

So David did not remove the Ark to himself to the city of David, but he carried it aside into the house of Obed-edom the Gittite.
于是大卫不将约柜搬到大卫城他那里，却转运到迦特人俄别以东的家中。

And the Ark of God remained with the house of Obed-edom in his house three months, and Jehovah blessed the house of Obed-edom and all that he had.
神的约柜在俄别以东家中，与他的家同在三个月，耶和华赐福给俄别以东的家，和他一切所有的。

And Hiram the king of Tyre sent messengers to David, as well as cedar timbers and masons and carpenters to build a house for him.
推罗王希兰差遣使者来见大卫，并且将香柏木和石匠、木匠送来，要给他建造宫殿。

And David perceived that Jehovah had established him as king over Israel and that his kingdom was highly exalted for the sake of His people Israel.
大卫就知道耶和华已经坚立他作以色列王，并且因耶和华的民以色列的缘故，他的国已大大被高举。

And David took more wives in Jerusalem, and David begot more sons and daughters.
大卫在耶路撒冷又娶了好些后妃，生了儿子和女儿。

And these are the names of those who were born, whom he had in Jerusalem: Shammua and Shobab and Nathan and Solomon
他在耶路撒冷所生的儿子，名字是沙母亚、朔罢、拿单、所罗门、

And Ibhar and Elishua and Elpelet
益辖、以利书亚、以法列、

And Nogah and Nepheg and Japhia
挪迦、尼斐、雅非亚、

And Elishama and Beeliada and Eliphelet.
以利沙玛、比利雅大、以利法列。

Now when the Philistines heard that David was anointed king over all Israel, all the Philistines went up in search of David; and David heard of it and went out against them.
非利士人听见大卫受膏作全以色列的王，非利士众人就上来寻索大卫；大卫听见，就出去迎击他们。

And the Philistines came and made a raid in the valley of Rephaim.
非利士人来了，侵夺利乏音谷。

Then David inquired of God, saying, Shall I go up against the Philistines? Will You deliver them into my hand? And Jehovah said to him, Go up, and I will deliver them into your hand.
大卫求问神说，我可以上去攻打非利士人么？你会将他们交在我手里么？耶和华对他说，你上去吧，我必将他们交在你手里。

And they went up to Baal-perazim, and David struck them there. And David said, God has broken forth upon my enemies by my hand like the breaking forth of a flood. Therefore they called the name of that place Baal-perazim.
非利士人上到巴力毗拉心，大卫在那里击杀他们。大卫说，神借我的手冲破敌人，如同水冲破堤岸一般。因此人给那地方起名叫巴力毗拉心。

And they left their gods there; and David gave the order, and they were burned with fire.
非利士人将他们的神像撇在那里，大卫吩咐人用火焚烧了。

And the Philistines made yet another raid in the valley.
非利士人又侵夺利乏音谷。

And David inquired again of God, and God said to him, You shall not go up after them; go around behind them, and come upon them opposite the balsam trees.
大卫求问神；神对他说，不要直接上去攻击，要绕到他们后头，从桑树林对面攻打他们。

And when you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the balsam trees, then you shall go out to battle; for God will have gone forth before you to strike the army of the Philistines.
你听见桑树梢上有脚步的声音，就要出战，因为神已经在你前头去攻打非利士人的军队。

And David did as God had commanded him, and they struck down the army of the Philistines from Gibeon even unto Gezer.
大卫就照神所吩咐的去行；他们击杀非利士人的军队，从基遍直到基色。

And David's fame went forth among all the lands, and Jehovah put the fear of him upon all the nations.
于是大卫的名声传到各地，耶和华使列国都惧怕他。

And David made houses for himself in the city of David, and he prepared a place for the Ark of God and pitched a tent for it.
大卫在大卫城为自己建造宫殿，又为神的约柜预备地方，支搭帐幕。

Then David said, None should bear the Ark of God except the Levites, for Jehovah has chosen them to bear the Ark of Jehovah and to minister to Him forever.
那时大卫说，除了利未人之外，无人可抬神的约柜；因为耶和华拣选他们抬耶和华的约柜，且永远事奉祂。

So David assembled all Israel at Jerusalem in order to bring up the Ark of Jehovah to its place, which he had prepared for it.
大卫招聚以色列众人到耶路撒冷，要将耶和华的约柜抬上去，到他所预备的地方。

And David gathered the sons of Aaron and the Levites:
大卫又聚集亚伦的子孙和利未人。

Of the sons of Kohath, Uriel the leader, and his brothers, one hundred twenty;
哥辖子孙中有首领乌列，和他的弟兄一百二十人。

Of the sons of Merari, Asaiah the leader, and his brothers, two hundred twenty;
米拉利子孙中有首领亚帅雅，和他的弟兄二百二十人。

Of the sons of Gershom, Joel the leader, and his brothers, one hundred thirty;
革顺子孙中有首领约珥，和他的弟兄一百三十人。

Of the sons of Elizaphan, Shemaiah the leader, and his brothers, two hundred;
以利撒反子孙中有首领示玛雅，和他的弟兄二百人。

Of the sons of Hebron, Eliel the leader, and his brothers, eighty;
希伯仑子孙中有首领以列，和他的弟兄八十人。

Of the sons of Uzziel, Amminadab the leader, and his brothers, one hundred twelve.
乌薛子孙中有首领亚米拿达，和他的弟兄一百一十二人。

And David called for Zadok and Abiathar the priests and the Levites, for Uriel, Asaiah and Joel, Shemaiah and Eliel and Amminadab;
大卫将祭司撒督和亚比亚他，并利未人乌列、亚帅雅、约珥、示玛雅、以列、亚米拿达召来，

And he said to them, You are the heads of the fathers' houses of the Levites; sanctify yourselves, you and your brothers, and bring up the Ark of Jehovah the God of Israel to the place that I have prepared for it.
对他们说，你们是利未人宗族的首领，你们和你们的弟兄应当使自己分别为圣，好将耶和华以色列神的约柜抬上来，到我所预备的地方。

For because you did not bring it up the first time, Jehovah our God broke forth upon us; for we did not seek Him according to the ordinance.
先前因为你们没有抬这约柜，耶和华我们的神就突然击杀我们，因我们没有按定例求问祂。

So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves in order to bring up the Ark of Jehovah the God of Israel.
于是祭司和利未人使自己分别为圣，好将耶和华以色列神的约柜抬上来。

And the sons of the Levites bore the Ark of God as Moses had commanded, according to the word of Jehovah, upon their shoulders with the poles upon them.
利未子孙就用杠，肩抬神的约柜，是照耶和华的话，正如摩西所吩咐的。

And David told the leaders of the Levites to appoint their brothers as singers with musical instruments — harps, lyres, loud-sounding cymbals — to raise sounds of joy.
大卫吩咐利未人的首领，派他们的弟兄作歌唱的，用琴、瑟和响钹等乐器作乐，欢欢喜喜地扬声歌颂。

So the Levites appointed Heman the son of Joel; and of his brothers, Asaph the son of Berechiah; and of the sons of Merari their brothers, Ethan the son of Kushaiah;
于是利未人派约珥的儿子希幔，和他弟兄中比利家的儿子亚萨，并他们族弟兄米拉利子孙里古沙雅的儿子以探。

And with them their brothers of the second order: Zechariah, and Jaaziel, and Shemiramoth and Jehiel and Unni, Eliab and Benaiah and Maaseiah and Mattithiah and Eliphelehu and Mikneiah, and Obed-edom and Jeiel, the doorkeepers.
和他们在一起的，还有他们的弟兄作第二班，就是撒迦利雅、雅薛、示米拉末、耶歇、乌尼、以利押、比拿雅、玛西雅、玛他提雅、以利斐利户、弥克尼雅，并守门的俄别以东和耶利。

So the singers, Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, were appointed to sound aloud with bronze cymbals;
这样，歌唱的希幔、亚萨、以探敲铜钹，大发响声；

And Zechariah and Aziel and Shemiramoth and Jehiel and Unni and Eliab and Maaseiah and Benaiah with harps set to alamoth;
撒迦利雅、雅薛、示米拉末、耶歇、乌尼、以利押、玛西雅、比拿雅鼓瑟，调用女音；

And Mattithiah and Eliphelehu and Mikneiah and Obed-edom and Jeiel and Azaziah were appointed to lead with lyres set to sheminith.
玛他提雅、以利斐利户、弥克尼雅、俄别以东、耶利、亚撒西雅领首弹琴，调用第八音。

And Chenaniah, the leader of the Levites, was over the song; he instructed about the song, because he was skillful.
利未人的首领基拿尼雅管理歌唱的事，又训练人歌唱，因为他精通此事。

And Berechiah and Elkanah were doorkeepers for the Ark.
比利家、以利加拿是为约柜守门的。

And Shebaniah and Joshaphat and Nethanel and Amasai and Zechariah and Benaiah and Eliezer, the priests, blew the trumpets before the Ark of God; and Obed-edom and Jehiah were doorkeepers for the Ark.
祭司示巴尼、约沙法、拿坦业、亚玛赛、撒迦利雅、比拿亚、以利以谢在神的约柜前吹号；俄别以东和耶希亚也是为约柜守门的。

So David and the elders of Israel and the captains of thousands went to bring up the Ark of the Covenant of Jehovah from the house of Obed-edom with rejoicing.
于是大卫和以色列的长老并千夫长，都去从俄别以东的家，欢欢喜喜地将耶和华的约柜抬上来。

And because God helped the Levites who bore the Ark of the Covenant of Jehovah, they sacrificed seven bulls and seven rams.
神帮助抬耶和华约柜的利未人，他们就献上七只公牛和七只公羊。

And David was clothed with a fine linen robe, as were all the Levites who bore the Ark and the singers and Chenaniah, the song leader of the singers; and David had on a linen ephod.
大卫和所有抬约柜的利未人，并歌唱的人，以及歌唱人的首领基拿尼雅，都穿着细麻布的外袍；大卫另外穿着细麻布的以弗得。

So all Israel brought up the Ark of the Covenant of Jehovah with shouting and with the sound of the horn and with trumpets and with cymbals, sounding aloud with harps and lyres.
这样，以色列众人欢呼吹角、吹号、敲钹，鼓瑟弹琴大发响声，将耶和华的约柜抬上来。

And when the Ark of the Covenant of Jehovah came to the city of David, Michal the daughter of Saul looked down through a window and saw King David dancing and playing; and she despised him in her heart.
耶和华的约柜进了大卫城的时候，扫罗的女儿米甲从窗户往下观看，见大卫王踊跃跳舞，心里就藐视他。

And they brought the Ark of God and set it in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it. And they presented burnt offerings and peace offerings before God.
众人将神的约柜抬进去，安放在大卫为约柜所搭的帐棚里，就在神面前献燔祭和平安祭。

And when David finished offering up the burnt offerings and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of Jehovah.
大卫献完了燔祭和平安祭，就在耶和华的名里给百姓祝福，

And he apportioned to everyone of Israel, to both men and women, to each one, a loaf of bread and a portion of meat and a cake of raisins.
并且分给以色列人，无论男女，每人一个饼、一块肉、一个葡萄饼。

And he appointed some of the Levites as ministers before the Ark of Jehovah and to commemorate and thank and praise Jehovah the God of Israel:
大卫派几个利未人在耶和华的约柜前事奉，颂扬、称谢、赞美耶和华以色列的神：

Asaph the chief; and second to him Zechariah; Jeiel and Shemiramoth and Jehiel and Mattithiah and Eliab and Benaiah and Obed-edom and Jeiel, with harps and with lyres; and Asaph sounding aloud with cymbals;
为首的是亚萨，其次是撒迦利雅；雅薛、示米拉末、耶歇、玛他提雅、以利押、比拿雅、俄别以东、耶利，鼓瑟弹琴；惟有亚萨敲钹，大发响声；

And Benaiah and Jahaziel the priests with trumpets continually before the Ark of the Covenant of God.
祭司比拿雅和雅哈悉常在神的约柜前吹号。

On that day, at that time, David first ordained the giving of thanks to Jehovah by the hand of Asaph and his brothers.
那日那时，大卫初次托付亚萨和他的弟兄以诗歌称谢耶和华，说，

Give thanks to Jehovah; call upon His name; / Make known His deeds among the peoples.
你们要称谢耶和华，呼求祂的名，在万民中传扬祂的作为。

Sing to Him; sing psalms to Him; / Muse upon all His wondrous deeds.
要向祂唱诗、歌颂，谈论祂一切奇妙的作为。

Glory in His holy name; / Let the heart of those who seek Jehovah rejoice.
要因祂的圣名夸耀；寻求耶和华的人，心中应当喜乐。

Seek Jehovah and His strength; / Seek His face continually.
要寻求耶和华与祂的能力，时常寻求祂的面。

Remember His wondrous deeds, which He has done, / His signs and the judgments of His mouth,
祂仆人以色列的后裔，祂所拣选雅各的子孙哪，你们要记念祂所行奇妙的作为，和祂的奇事，并祂口中的判语。

O seed of Israel His servant, / O children of Jacob, His chosen ones.

He is Jehovah our God; / His judgments are in all the earth.
祂是耶和华我们的神，全地都有祂的判断。

Remember His covenant forever, / The word that He commanded to a thousand generations,
你们要记念祂的约，直到永远；记念祂所吩咐的话，直到千代，

The covenant that He made with Abraham, / And His oath unto Isaac.
就是祂与亚伯拉罕所立的约，向以撒所起的誓。

And He confirmed it unto Jacob as a statute, / Unto Israel as an eternal covenant,
祂又将这约向雅各确立为律例，向以色列确立为永远的约，

Saying, To you I will give the land of Canaan, / The portion of your inheritance;
说，我必将迦南地赐给你，作你们产业的分。

When you were men few in number, / Indeed very few and strangers in the land;
当时你们人数有限，非常稀少，并且在那地为寄居的；

And they went about from nation to nation, / And from one kingdom to another people.
他们从这邦游到那邦，从这国行到那国。

He allowed no man to oppress them; / Indeed He rebuked kings for their sake.
耶和华不容什么人欺压他们，为他们的缘故责备君王，

Saying, Do not touch My anointed ones, / And do My prophets no harm.
说，不可触犯我所膏的人，也不可加害我的申言者。

Sing to Jehovah all the earth; / Proclaim His salvation from day to day.
全地都要向耶和华歌唱，天天传扬祂的救恩。

Declare His glory among the nations, / His wondrous deeds among all the peoples.
要在列邦中述说祂的荣耀，在万民中述说祂的奇事。

For Jehovah is great and much to be praised, / And He is to be feared above all gods.
因耶和华为大，当受极大的赞美；祂在万神之上当受敬畏。

For all the gods of the peoples are idols, / But Jehovah made the heavens.
众民的神都属虚无，惟独耶和华造作诸天。

Majesty and splendor are before Him; / Strength and gladness are in His place.
有尊荣和威严在祂面前，有能力和喜乐在祂圣所。

Ascribe to Jehovah, O families of the peoples, / Ascribe to Jehovah glory and strength;
众民中的各族啊，你们要将荣耀能力归给耶和华，都归给耶和华；

Ascribe to Jehovah the glory of His name; / Bring an offering, and come before Him. / Worship Jehovah in holy splendor;
要将耶和华的名所当得的荣耀归给祂，拿着供物到祂面前来。当以圣别的妆饰敬拜耶和华；

Tremble before Him, all the earth. / Indeed the world has been established; it will not be moved;
全地要在祂面前战抖。祂使世界坚立，不致动摇。

Let the heavens rejoice and the earth be glad; / And let them say among the nations, Jehovah reigns!
愿天喜乐，愿地欢腾；愿人在列邦中说，耶和华作王了！

Let the sea and its fullness roar; / Let the field and all that is in it exult;
愿海和其中所充满的澎湃；愿田和其中所有的都欢乐；

Then the trees of the forest will sing for joy / Before Jehovah, for He is coming / To judge the earth.
那时，林中的树木都要在耶和华面前欢唱，因为祂来要审判这地。

Give thanks to Jehovah, for He is good, / For His lovingkindness is forever;
应当称谢耶和华，因祂本为善，祂的慈爱永远长存；

And say, Save us, O God of our salvation; / And gather us and deliver us out of the nations, / That we may give thanks to Your holy name, / That we may glory in Your praise.
要说，拯救我们的神啊，求你救我们，聚集我们，使我们脱离列邦，我们好称谢你的圣名，以赞美你为夸耀。

Blessed be Jehovah the God of Israel, / From eternity to eternity. And all the people said, Amen, and praised Jehovah.
耶和华以色列的神，从亘古直到永远，是当受颂赞的。众百姓都说，阿们，并且赞美耶和华。

So there before the Ark of the Covenant of Jehovah he left Asaph and his brothers to minister before the Ark continually, as every day's work dictated;
大卫将亚萨和他的弟兄们留在那里，就是耶和华的约柜前，使他们按每日的职分，在约柜前不断事奉；

As well as Obed-edom and his sixty-eight relatives, with Obed-edom the son of Jeduthun and Hosah as gatekeepers;
又留下俄别以东和他的族弟兄六十八人，与耶杜顿的儿子俄别以东，并何萨作守门的；

And Zadok the priest and his brothers the priests before the tabernacle of Jehovah in the high place which was at Gibeon,
且留下祭司撒督和他弟兄众祭司在基遍的邱坛，耶和华的帐幕前，

To offer up burnt offerings to Jehovah upon the burnt offering altar continually every morning and every evening, according to all that was written in the law of Jehovah, which He commanded Israel.
好在燔祭坛上，每日早晚，照着一切写在耶和华律法书上，祂所吩咐以色列人的，常给耶和华献燔祭。

And with them were Heman and Jeduthun and the rest of those who had been chosen, who had been mentioned by name, to give thanks to Jehovah, for His lovingkindness endures forever.
与他们一同被留下的有希幔、耶杜顿和其余被选名字录在册上的人，称谢耶和华，因祂的慈爱永远长存。

And with them were Heman and Jeduthun with trumpets and cymbals for those who were to sound aloud and with instruments for the songs of God, and the sons of Jeduthun were to be at the gate.
希幔、耶杜顿同着他们吹号、敲钹，大发响声，并用别的乐器随着歌颂神；耶杜顿的子孙作守门的。

And all the people, each one, departed to his house; and David returned to bless his house.
于是众百姓各归各家；大卫也回去为家眷祝福。
