创10:26And Joktan begot Almodad and Sheleph and Hazarmaveth and Jerah

创10:27And Hadoram and Uzal and Diklah

创10:28And Obal and Abimael and Sheba

创10:29And Ophir and Havilah and Jobab; all these were the sons of Joktan.

创10:30And their dwelling was from Mesha, as you go toward Sephar, the hill country of the east.

创10:31These are the sons of Shem, according to their families, according to their tongues, in their lands, according to their nations.

创10:32These are the families of the sons of Noah, according to their generations, in their nations; and from these the nations were separated on the earth after the flood.

创11:1And the whole earth had one language and the same speech.

创11:2And as they journeyed east, they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there.

创11:3And they said to one another, Come, let us make bricks and burn them thoroughly. And they had brick for stone, and they had tar for mortar.

创11:4And they said, Come, let us build ourselves a city and a tower whose top is in the heavens; and let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered over the surface of the whole earth.

创11:5And Jehovah came down to see the city and the tower which the children of men had built.

创11:6And Jehovah said, Behold, they are one people, and they all have one language; and this is only the beginning of what they will do; and now nothing which they purpose to do will be kept from them.

创11:7Come, let Us go down and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech.

创11:8So Jehovah scattered them from there over the surface of all the earth, and they ceased building the city.

创11:9Therefore its name was called Babel, because there Jehovah confounded the language of all the earth, and from there Jehovah scattered them over the surface of all the earth.

创11:10These are the generations of Shem. Shem was one hundred years old when he begot Arpachshad, two years after the flood.

创11:11And Shem lived after he had begotten Arpachshad five hundred years, and he begot more sons and daughters.

创11:12And Arpachshad lived thirty-five years and begot Shelah.

创11:13And Arpachshad lived after he had begotten Shelah four hundred three years, and he begot more sons and daughters.
