字义：用棍，棒或鞭打的行为。οἱ ὑπηρέται ῥαπίσμασιν αὐτὸν ἔλαβον 差役接过他来用手掌打他，可十四65 或指此（参λαμβάνω－SG2983一E.1.）。但在此，它也可指在新约中其他经文出现的意思，打脸一巴掌，（见ῥαπίζω－SG4474）διδόναι ῥάπισμά τινι给某人一巴掌，约十八22；复数，约十九3。*
