我来要把火丢在地上，若是已经着起来，那是我所愿意的。
I have come to cast fire on the earth, and how I wish that it were already kindled!

我有当受的浸，还没有成就，我是何等的困迫！
But I have a baptism to be baptized with, and how I am pressed until it is accomplished!

你们以为我来，是带给地上和平么？我告诉你们，不是，乃是带给人分争。
Do you think that I have come to give peace on the earth? No, I tell you, but rather division.

因为从今以后，一家五个人将要分争，三个人反两个人，两个人反三个人。
For from now on there will be five in one house divided, three against two and two against three.

他们将要分争：父亲反儿子，儿子反父亲；母亲反女儿，女儿反母亲；婆婆反儿媳，儿媳反婆婆。
They will be divided: father against son and son against father; mother against her daughter and daughter against her mother; mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law, and daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.

耶稣又对群众说，你们几时看见西边起了云彩，就立即说，要下一阵雨，果然如此。
And He said also to the crowds, When you see a cloud rising in the west, immediately you say that a shower is coming, and so it happens.

你们几时看见吹起南风，就说，将要燥热，也果然如此。
And when you see a south wind blowing, you say that there will be scorching heat, and it happens.

假冒为善的人哪，你们知道分辨天地的气色，怎么不知道分辨这时期？
Hypocrites, you know how to discern the face of the earth and of the sky. How is it then that you do not know how to discern this time?

你们又为什么不自己判断，什么是公义的事？
And why do you not judge also of yourselves what is right?

因为你同告你的对头去见官，还在路上，就要尽力和他了结，免得他把你拖到审判官面前，审判官交给差役，差役就把你下在监里了。
For as you are going with your opponent at law to a magistrate, endeavor to be released from him on the way, lest he drag you to the judge; and the judge will deliver you up to the officer, and the officer will throw you into prison.

我告诉你，非到你还清最后一分钱，你绝不能从那里出来。
I tell you, You shall by no means come out from there until you have paid the very last lepton.

以色列人又行耶和华眼中看为恶的事，去事奉诸巴力和亚斯他录，并亚兰的神、西顿的神、摩押的神、亚扪人的神、非利士人的神，离弃耶和华，不事奉祂。
Then the children of Israel again did that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah. And they served the Baals and the Ashtaroth and the gods of Aram and the gods of Sidon and the gods of Moab and the gods of the children of Ammon and the gods of the Philistines, and they forsook Jehovah and did not serve Him.

耶和华的怒气向以色列人发作，就把他们交付在非利士人和亚扪人的手中。
And the anger of Jehovah burned against Israel, and He sold them into the hand of the Philistines and into the hand of the children of Ammon.

从那年起，他们扰害欺压约但河那边，在基列亚摩利人之地的以色列众人，共有十八年。
And they oppressed and crushed the children of Israel that year. For eighteen years they oppressed all the children of Israel who were across the Jordan in the land of the Amorites, which is in Gilead.

亚扪人又渡过约但河去攻打犹大和便雅悯，并以法莲家。以色列人就极其困苦。
And the children of Ammon crossed over the Jordan to fight also against Judah and Benjamin and the house of Ephraim; and Israel was greatly distressed.

以色列人哀求耶和华说，我们得罪了你；因为离弃了我们的神，去事奉诸巴力。
Then the children of Israel cried out to Jehovah, saying, We have sinned against You, for we have forsaken our God and have served the Baals.

耶和华对以色列人说，我岂没有救过你们脱离埃及人、亚摩利人、亚扪人和非利士人么？
And Jehovah said to the children of Israel, Did I not save you from the Egyptians and from the Amorites and from the children of Ammon and from the Philistines?

西顿人、亚玛力人、马云人也都欺压过你们；你们哀求我，我也拯救你们脱离他们的手。
And the Sidonians and Amalek and Maon oppressed you; and you cried out to Me, and I saved you from their hand.

你们竟离弃我，事奉别神；所以我不再救你们了。
But you forsook Me and served other gods; therefore I will not save you again.

你们去哀求你们所选择的众神；你们遭难的时候，让他们救你们吧。
Go and cry out to the gods that you have chosen. Let them save you in the time of your distress.

以色列人对耶和华说，我们犯罪了，照你眼中所看为好的待我们吧；只求你今日拯救我们。
But the children of Israel said to Jehovah, We have sinned. You do with us according to all that is good in Your sight. Only deliver us this day, we pray.

以色列人就除掉他们中间的外邦神，事奉耶和华。耶和华因以色列人所受的苦难，心中着急。
And they removed the foreign gods from their midst and served Jehovah. And His soul could no longer bear Israel's misery.

当时亚扪人被召集，安营在基列；以色列人也聚集，安营在米斯巴。
Then the children of Ammon gathered together and encamped in Gilead, and the children of Israel assembled together and encamped in Mizpah.

基列的众人，就是基列的众首领，彼此说，谁能先去攻打亚扪人，谁必作基列一切居民的首领。
And the people, that is, the princes of Gilead, said each to his companion, Who is the man who will begin to fight against the children of Ammon? He shall be head over all the inhabitants of Gilead.

基列人耶弗他是个大能的勇士，是妓女的儿子；耶弗他是基列所生的。
Now Jephthah the Gileadite was a mighty man of valor. And he was the son of a harlot, and Gilead had begotten Jephthah.

基列的妻子也给他生了几个儿子；他妻子所生的儿子长大了，就赶逐耶弗他，说，你不可在我们父家承受产业，因为你是别的妇人的儿子。
And Gilead's wife bore him sons. And when the woman's sons grew up, they drove Jephthah out and said to him, You shall not have an inheritance in the house of our father, for you are the son of some other woman.

耶弗他就逃离他的弟兄们，去住在陀伯地。有些无赖之徒到他那里聚集，与他一同出入。
So Jephthah fled from his brothers and dwelt in the land of Tob. And worthless men collected around Jephthah, and they went out with him.

过了些日子，亚扪人与以色列争战。
And after some time the children of Ammon fought with Israel.

亚扪人与以色列争战的时候，基列的长老到陀伯地去，要叫耶弗他回来。
And when the children of Ammon fought with Israel, the elders of Gilead went to get Jephthah from the land of Tob.

他们对耶弗他说，请你来作我们的统帅，我们好与亚扪人争战。
And they said to Jephthah, Come and be our chief, and we will fight against the children of Ammon.

耶弗他对基列的长老说，从前你们不是恨我、赶逐我离开父家么？现在你们遭难为何到我这里来呢？
And Jephthah said to the elders of Gilead, Are you not the ones who hated me and drove me out from the house of my father? Why then do you come to me now that you are in distress?

基列的长老对耶弗他说，现在我们回到你这里来，是因为要你同我们去，攻打亚扪人；你可以作我们基列一切居民的首领。
And the elders of Gilead said to Jephthah, This is the reason we have turned now to you, that you would come with us and fight against the children of Ammon and be for us the head of all the inhabitants of Gilead.

耶弗他对基列的长老说，如果你们叫我回去，攻打亚扪人，耶和华又把他们交给我，我可以作你们的首领么？
And Jephthah said to the elders of Gilead, If you are bringing me back to fight against the children of Ammon and Jehovah delivers them up before me, will I be your head?

基列的长老对耶弗他说，有耶和华在你我中间作见证，我们必定照你的话行。
And the elders of Gilead said to Jephthah, Let Jehovah be a Witness between us: As you have spoken, so shall we surely do.

于是耶弗他同基列的长老回去，百姓就立耶弗他作他们的首领和统帅。耶弗他在米斯巴将自己的一切话诉说在耶和华面前。
So Jephthah went with the elders of Gilead, and the people made him head and chief over them. And Jephthah spoke all his words before Jehovah in Mizpah.

耶弗他打发使者去见亚扪人的王，说，你与我有什么相干，竟来到我这里攻打我的地呢？
And Jephthah sent messengers to the king of the children of Ammon, saying, What is there between me and you, that you have come to me to fight against my land?

亚扪人的王对耶弗他的使者说，因为以色列人从埃及上来的时候夺了我的地，从亚嫩河到雅博河，直到约但河。现在你要和和平平地将这地归还。
And the king of the children of Ammon said to Jephthah's messengers, Because Israel took my land when they came up from Egypt, from the Arnon as far as the Jabbok and the Jordan. Now therefore restore it peacefully.

耶弗他又打发使者去见亚扪人的王，
And Jephthah yet again sent messengers to the king of the children of Ammon.

对他说，耶弗他如此说，以色列人并没有夺取摩押地和亚扪人的地。
And he said to him, Thus says Jephthah, Israel did not take the land of Moab nor the land of the children of Ammon.

以色列人从埃及上来时，乃是经过旷野到红海，来到加低斯，
But when they came up from Egypt, and Israel went through the wilderness to the Red Sea and came to Kadesh,

就打发使者去见以东王，说，求你让我们从你的地经过。以东王却不应允。他们又打发使者去见摩押王，他也不允准。因此以色列人就住在加低斯。
Israel sent messengers to the king of Edom, saying, May we please pass through your land? But the king of Edom would not hear of it. And they also sent messengers to the king of Moab, but he would not allow it. So Israel remained in Kadesh.

他们又经过旷野，绕着以东地和摩押地，到了摩押地的东边，在亚嫩河的另一边安营；因此他们并没有入摩押的境内，因为亚嫩河是摩押的边界。
And they went through the wilderness and went around the land of Edom and the land of Moab; and they went to the east of the land of Moab and encamped beyond the Arnon. Thus they did not go through the territory of Moab, for the Arnon is the border of Moab.

然后以色列人打发使者去见亚摩利人的王西宏，就是希实本的王，对他说，求你让我们从你的地经过，往我们自己的地方去。
Then Israel sent messengers to Sihon the king of the Amorites, the king of Heshbon, and Israel said to him, May we please pass through your land to our place?

西宏却不信任以色列人，不让他们经过他的境界。西宏招聚他的众民在雅杂安营，与以色列人争战。
But Sihon did not trust Israel to cross through his territory. So Sihon gathered all his people together and encamped in Jahaz; and he fought with Israel.

耶和华以色列的神，将西宏和他的众民都交在以色列人手中，以色列人就击杀他们，得了住在那地之亚摩利人的全地。
And Jehovah the God of Israel, delivered Sihon and all his people into the hand of Israel, and they struck them. And Israel took possession of all the land of the Amorites, the inhabitants of that land.

他们得了亚摩利人的四境，从亚嫩河到雅博河，从旷野直到约但河。
And they took possession of all the territory of the Amorites, from the Arnon as far as the Jabbok and from the wilderness to the Jordan.

如今耶和华以色列的神，既为祂百姓以色列的缘故赶出亚摩利人，你竟要得他们的地么？
So now Jehovah the God of Israel has dispossessed the Amorites for the sake of His people Israel. Should you then dispossess them?

你的神基抹为你所赶出之人的地，你不是要得为业么？耶和华我们的神为我们的缘故所赶出之人的一切地，我们就要得为业。
Will you not take possession of that which Chemosh your god has dispossessed for you? Thus we will take possession of all that Jehovah our God dispossesses for our sake.

难道你比摩押王西拨的儿子巴勒还强么？他曾与以色列人争竞，或曾与他们争战么？
And now are you any better than Balak the son of Zippor, the king of Moab? Did he ever strive with Israel, or did he ever fight against them?

以色列人住希实本和属希实本的乡镇，亚罗珥和属亚罗珥的乡镇，并沿亚嫩河的一切城邑，已经有三百年了；在这三百年之内，你们为什么没有取回这些地方呢？
While Israel dwelt in Heshbon and its towns, and in Aroer and its towns, and in all the cities that are along the Arnon, three hundred years, why did you not recover them within that time?

原来我没有得罪你，你却攻打我，恶待我。愿审判人的耶和华今日在以色列人和亚扪人中间审断。
So I have not sinned against you, but you do me wrong in fighting against me. Jehovah the Judge will judge today between the children of Israel and the children of Ammon.

亚扪人的王不肯听耶弗他打发人对他所说的话。
But the king of the children of Ammon would not listen to the words of Jephthah, which he sent him.

耶和华的灵临到耶弗他身上，他就经过基列和玛拿西；他来到基列的米斯巴，又从基列的米斯巴来到亚扪人那里。
And the Spirit of Jehovah came upon Jephthah. And he passed through Gilead and through Manasseh; and he passed on to Mizpeh of Gilead, and from Mizpeh of Gilead he passed on to the children of Ammon.

耶弗他向耶和华许愿，说，你若真的将亚扪人交在我手中，
And Jephthah made a vow to Jehovah, and he said, If You will really deliver the children of Ammon into my hand,

我从亚扪人那里平平安安回来的时候，无论什么人，从我家门出来迎接我，就必归耶和华，我也必将他献上为燔祭。
Whoever comes out through the doors of my house to meet me when I return in peace from the children of Ammon will be Jehovah's, and I will offer him up as a burnt offering.

于是耶弗他往亚扪人那里去，攻打他们；耶和华将他们交在他手中，
And Jephthah passed on to the children of Ammon to fight against them, and Jehovah delivered them into his hand.

他就大大击杀他们，从亚罗珥到米匿，直到亚备勒基拉明，攻取了二十座城。这样亚扪人就在以色列人面前被制伏了。
And he struck them from Aroer until you come to Minnith, twenty cities, and to Abel-keramim, with a very great stroke. So the children of Ammon were subdued before the children of Israel.

耶弗他回米斯巴到了自己的家，不料，他女儿拿着鼓跳舞出来迎接他，是他独生的，此外无儿无女。
Then Jephthah came to his house at Mizpah, and there came his daughter out to meet him, with timbrels and with dances. Now she was an only child; he had no son or daughter besides her.

耶弗他看见她，就撕裂衣服，说，哀哉！我的女儿啊，你使我甚是愁苦，你叫我太作难了；因为我已经向耶和华开口许愿，不能收回。
And when he saw her, he tore his clothes and said, Ah, my daughter! You have brought me very low, and you are among those who trouble me. For I have opened my mouth to Jehovah, and I cannot retract it.

他女儿回答说，我父啊，你既向耶和华开口，就当照你口中所出的向我行，因耶和华已经在你的仇敌亚扪人身上为你报仇；
And she said to him, My father, you have opened your mouth to Jehovah; do with me according to what has gone forth from your mouth, seeing that Jehovah has executed vengeance for you on your enemies, on the children of Ammon.

又对父亲说，求你允准我这件事：让我去两个月，与同伴下到山间，好哀哭我终身作处女。
And she said to her father, Let this thing be done for me: Let me be alone for two months that I may depart and descend upon the mountains, and bewail my virginity, I and my companions.

耶弗他说，你去吧；就让她去两个月。她便和同伴去了，在山上为她终身作处女哀哭。
And he said, Go; and he sent her away for two months. And she departed, she and her companions, and bewailed her virginity upon the mountains.

满了两个月，她回到父亲那里，父亲就照所许的愿向她行了；女儿终身没有亲近男子。此后以色列中有个规矩，
And at the end of two months she returned to her father, and he did with her according to the vow that he had vowed; and she had never known a man. And it became a custom in Israel

每年以色列的女子去为基列人耶弗他的女儿哀哭，一年四天。
That each year the daughters of Israel would go to lament the daughter of Jephthah the Gileadite, four days in the year.

以法莲人被召集，过河到了撒分，对耶弗他说，你过去攻打亚扪人，为什么没有召我们同去呢？我们必用火烧你和你的房屋。
Then the men of Ephraim were gathered together, and they crossed over to Zaphon and said to Jephthah, Why did you cross over to fight against the children of Ammon and not call us to go with you? We will burn your house down over you.

耶弗他对他们说，我和我的民与亚扪人极力奋战；我向你们呼救，你们竟没有来救我脱离他们的手。
And Jephthah said to them, I and my people were in great strife with the children of Ammon; but when I called out to you, you did not save me from their hand.

我见你们不来救我，就不顾性命，过去攻击亚扪人；耶和华将他们交在我手中。你们今日为什么上我这里来攻打我呢？
So when I saw that there would be no help from you, I put my life in my own hand and crossed over to the children of Ammon; and Jehovah delivered them into my hand. So why have you come up against me this day to fight against me?

于是耶弗他招聚基列众人，与以法莲人争战。基列人击杀以法莲人，是因他们说，你们基列人在以法莲、玛拿西中间，不过是以法莲逃亡的人。
And Jephthah gathered all the men of Gilead together and fought with Ephraim. And the men of Gilead struck Ephraim because they said, You are fugitives from Ephraim, O Gilead, in the midst of Ephraim and Manasseh.

基列人把守约但河的渡口，不让以法莲人过去。以法莲逃走的人若说，让我过去，基列人就问他说，你是以法莲人不是？他若说，不是，
And the Gileadites took the fords of the Jordan against the Ephraimites. And when a fugitive of Ephraim said, Let me cross over, the men of Gilead would say to him, Are you an Ephraimite? And if he said, No,

就对他说，你说示播列。以法莲人因为咬不准字音，便说西播列。基列人就将他拿住，杀在约但河的渡口。那时以法莲人被杀的有四万二千。
They would say to him, Then say, Shibboleth. And he would say, Sibboleth; for he could not say it correctly. Then they would seize him and slay him at the fords of the Jordan. And at that time forty-two thousand of Ephraim fell.

耶弗他作以色列的士师六年。基列人耶弗他死了，葬在基列的一座城里。
And Jephthah judged Israel six years. And Jephthah the Gileadite died and was buried in one of the cities of Gilead.

耶弗他以后，有伯利恒的以比赞作以色列的士师。
Then after him Ibzan of Bethlehem judged Israel.

他有三十个儿子，三十个女儿；女儿都嫁到外乡去。他给众子从外乡娶了三十个女子为妻。他作以色列的士师七年。
And he had thirty sons; and he sent out thirty daughters abroad and brought in thirty foreign daughters from abroad for his sons. And he judged Israel seven years.

以比赞死了，葬在伯利恒。
And Ibzan died and was buried in Bethlehem.

以比赞之后，有西布伦人以伦，作以色列的士师十年。
Then after him Elon the Zebulunite judged Israel. And he judged Israel ten years.

西布伦人以伦死了，葬在西布伦地的亚雅仑。
And Elon the Zebulunite died and was buried in Aijalon in the land of Zebulun.

以伦之后，有比拉顿人希列的儿子押顿作以色列的士师。
Then after him Abdon the son of Hillel the Pirathonite judged Israel.

他有四十个儿子，三十个孙子，骑着七十匹驴。押顿作以色列的士师八年。
And he had forty sons and thirty grandsons, who rode upon seventy donkeys. And he judged Israel eight years.

比拉顿人希列的儿子押顿死了，葬在以法莲地的比拉顿，在亚玛力人的山地。
And Abdon the son of Hillel the Pirathonite died and was buried in Pirathon in the land of Ephraim, in the hill country of the Amalekites.
