LukeChapter 15 Now all the tax collectors and sinners were drawing near to Him to hear Him.
And both the Pharisees and the scribes murmured among themselves, saying, This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.
Which man of you, who has a hundred sheep and has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the 1wilderness and go after the one which is lost until he finds it?
And when he comes into his house, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep that was lost.
I tell you that in the same way there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner repenting than over ninety-nine righteous persons who have no need of repentance.

In the same way, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner repenting.

And when he had spent all, a severe famine occurred throughout that country, and he began to be in want.
And he went and joined himself to one of the citizens of that country; and he sent him into his fields to 1feed hogs.
And he longed to be satisfied with the 1carob pods which the hogs were eating, and no one gave him anything.
But when he came to himself, he said, 1How many of my father's hired servants abound in bread, but I am perishing here in famine!
And the son said to him, Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you; I am no longer worthy to be called your son.
Now his 1older son was in the field. And as he came and drew near to the house, he heard music and dancing,
And calling to him one of the servants, he inquired what these things might be.
And he said to him, Your brother has come, and your father has slaughtered the fattened calf because he has received him back healthy.
But he became angry and was not willing to enter. And his father came out and entreated him.
But when this son of yours came, who devoured your 1living with harlots, you slaughtered for him the fattened calf.
And he said to him, Child, you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours.

LukeChapter 16 And he called him and said to him, What is this I hear concerning you? Render the account of your stewardship, for you can no longer be steward.
I know what I will do so that when I am removed from the stewardship they may 1receive me into their own houses.
And when he had called to him each one of his master's debtors, he said to the first, How much do you owe my master?
And he said, A hundred 1measures of oil. And he said to him, Take your bill and sit down quickly and write fifty.
Then to another he said, And you, how much do you owe? And he said, A hundred 1measures of wheat. He said to him, Take your bill and write eighty.
If therefore you have not become faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will entrust to you what is 1true?
And He said to them, You are those who justify yourselves in the sight of men, but God knows your hearts; for that which is exalted among men is an 1abomination in the sight of God.
Everyone who 1divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery, and he who marries a woman who is divorced from her husband commits adultery.
Now there was 1a certain rich man, and he clothed himself in purple and fine linen, making merry every day in splendor.
And a certain beggar named Lazarus was laid at his gate, covered with sores
And longing to be satisfied with the things falling from the rich man's table; moreover, even the dogs came and licked his sores.
And the beggar died, and he was carried away by the angels into 1Abraham's bosom; and the rich man also died and was buried.
And in 1Hades he lifted up his eyes, being in torment, and saw Abraham from afar and Lazarus in his bosom.
And he called out and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in anguish in this flame.
But Abraham said, Child, remember that in your lifetime you fully received your good things, and Lazarus likewise bad things; but now he is comforted here, and you are in anguish.
And besides all these things, between us and you a great 1chasm is fixed, so that those wanting to pass from here to you cannot, neither from there to us may any cross over.
And he said, Then I ask you, Father, to send him to the house of my father —
For I have five brothers — so that he may solemnly testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment.
But he said, No, Father Abraham; but if someone risen from the dead would go to them, they will repent.
