一、形容词：与曾发生过的某事“相应”。ἀ.常算为τύπος的代表（参出二五40），但因τύπος可指“原本”或“副本”，故ἀ.的意义就含糊。故在 彼前三21 ὃ（即ὕδωρ）ὑμᾶς ἀ. νῦν σῴζει βάπτισμα 这水所表明的洗礼，现在…拯救你们，即把挪亚从洪水中拯救出来是一个τύπος，或“预表”，而洗礼与它相应，作为拯救的完成。


二、实名词：τὸ ἀ.“影像，副本，代表”。因此，χειροποίητα ἅγια，ἀ. τῶν ἀληθινῶν人手所造的圣所，这不过是真圣所的影像（副本），⊙ 来九24。*
