耶稣说完了这些比喻，就离开那里，
And when Jesus had finished these parables, He departed from there.

来到自己的家乡，在他们的会堂里教训他们，以致他们都惊讶说，这人的智慧和异能，是从哪里来的？
And He came into His own country and taught them in their synagogue, so that they were astounded and said, Where did this man get this wisdom and these works of power?

这不是那木匠的儿子么？祂母亲不是叫马利亚么？祂兄弟们不是雅各、约西、西门和犹大么？
Is not this the carpenter's son? Is not His mother called Mary, and His brothers James and Joseph and Simon and Judas?

祂妹妹们不也都在我们这里么？祂这一切是从哪里来的？
And His sisters, are they not all with us? Where then did this man get all these things?

他们就因祂绊跌。但耶稣对他们说，申言者除了在本地本家之外，没有不被人尊敬的。
And they were stumbled because of Him. But Jesus said to them, A prophet is not without honor except in his own country and in his own house.

因为他们不信，祂就不在那里多行异能了。
And He did not do many works of power there because of their unbelief.

那时分封的王希律听见耶稣的名声，
At that time Herod the tetrarch heard the report concerning Jesus,

就对臣仆说，这是施浸者约翰从死人中复活了，所以这些异能发显在他身上。
And he said to his servants, This is John the Baptist; he has been raised from the dead, and because of this these works of power are operating through him.

原来希律为他兄弟腓力的妻子希罗底的缘故，把约翰拿住，捆锁起来，关藏在监里。
For Herod had seized John and bound him and put him in prison on account of Herodias, the wife of Philip his brother.

因为约翰曾对他说，你不可娶这妇人。
For John had been saying to him, It is not lawful for you to have her.

希律想要杀他，只是怕群众，因他们都以约翰为申言者。
And though he desired to kill him, he feared the crowd because they held him as a prophet.

到了希律的生日，希罗底的女儿在众人中间跳舞，使希律欢喜。
But when Herod's birthday came, the daughter of Herodias danced in their midst and pleased Herod;

因此希律就起誓，应许她无论求什么都给她。
Hence, he promised with an oath to give her whatever she asked.

她受她母亲唆使，就说，请把施浸者约翰的头，放在盘子上给我。
And she, being instigated by her mother, said, Give me here on a platter the head of John the Baptist.

王虽忧愁，但因所起的誓，又因同席的人，就吩咐给她。
And the king was grieved, yet because of the oaths and those reclining at table with him, he commanded it to be given.

于是打发人去，在监里斩了约翰，
And he sent men and beheaded John in the prison.

把他的头放在盘子上，拿来给闺女，她就拿去给她母亲。
And his head was brought on a platter and given to the girl, and she brought it to her mother.

约翰的门徒进前来，把尸体领去，埋葬了，就去报告耶稣。
And his disciples came and took the corpse and buried it; and they came and reported the matter to Jesus.

耶稣听见，就上船，从那里独自退到野地去。群众听见，就从各城步行跟随祂。
And when Jesus heard this, He withdrew from there in a boat to a deserted place privately. And when the crowds heard of it, they followed Him on foot from the cities.

那地的饥荒甚重。
Now the famine was severe in the land.

他们从埃及带来的粮吃尽了，他们的父亲就对他们说，你们再去给我们买一点粮食来。
And when they had completely consumed the grain which they had brought out of Egypt, their father said to them, Go back; buy us a little food.

但犹大对他说，那人郑重地警告我们说，你们的弟弟若不与你们同来，你们就不得见我的面。
But Judah spoke to him, saying, The man solemnly warned us, saying, You shall not see my face unless your brother is with you.

你若愿意打发我们的弟弟与我们同去，我们就下去给你买粮食；
If you are willing to send our brother with us, we will go down and buy you grain for food;

你若不愿意打发他去，我们就不下去，因为那人对我们说，你们的弟弟若不与你们同来，你们就不得见我的面。
But if you are not willing to send him, we will not go down; for the man said to us, You shall not see my face unless your brother is with you.

以色列说，你们为什么这样害我，告诉那人你们还有弟弟呢？
And Israel said, Why did you treat me so badly as to tell the man that you had another brother?

他们说，那人详细地问到我们和我们的亲属，说，你们的父亲还健在么？你们还有兄弟么？我们就按着他所问的告诉他。我们怎能知道他会说，把你们的弟弟带下来呢？
And they said, The man asked very carefully about us and about our relatives, saying, Is your father still alive? Do you have another brother? So we told him about these things. Could we possibly know that he would say, Bring your brother down?

犹大又对他父亲以色列说，你打发少年人与我同去，我们就起身下去，好叫我们和你，并我们的妇人孩子，都得存活，不至于死。
And Judah said to Israel his father, Send the boy with me, and we will rise up and go, that we may live and not die, we and you and our little ones.

我为他作保，你可以从我手中追讨。我若不带他回来交在你面前，我就永远在你面前担罪。
I myself will be surety for him; of my hand you may require him. If I do not bring him to you and set him before you, then I shall bear the blame of sinning before you forever.

我们若没有耽搁，如今第二次都回来了。
For if we had not delayed, by now we could have returned twice.

他们的父亲以色列对他们说，若必须如此，你们就当这样行：可以取些这地佳美的出产，就是一点香油和一点蜂蜜，香胶和没药，榧子和杏仁，收在器皿里，带下去送给那人作礼物；
And their father Israel said to them, If it must be so, then do this: Take some of the choice fruits of the land in your bags, and carry a present down to the man — a little balm and a little honey, aromatic gum and myrrh, pistachio nuts and almonds.

又要手里带着加倍的银子，并要将归还在你们袋口内的银子带回去；那或者是错了。
And take double the silver in your hand, and carry back in your hand the silver that was returned in the mouth of your sacks; perhaps it was a mistake.

也带着你们的弟弟，起身回去见那人。
Take your brother also, and rise up; return to the man.

但愿全足的神在那人面前赐你们怜悯，使他释放你们的那弟兄和便雅悯回来。至于我，我若丧了儿子，就丧了吧。
And may the All-sufficient God grant you mercy before the man, that he may release to you your other brother and Benjamin. And as for me, if I am to be bereaved of my children, I shall be bereaved.

于是，他们拿着这礼物，手里带着加倍的银子，并且带着便雅悯，起身下到埃及，站在约瑟面前。
So the men took this present, and they took double the silver in their hand and Benjamin; and they rose up and went down to Egypt and stood before Joseph.

约瑟见便雅悯和他们同来，就对家宰说，将这些人领到屋里，要宰杀牲畜，预备筵席，因为正午这些人要同我吃饭。
And when Joseph saw Benjamin with them, he said to him who was over his house, Bring the men into the house, and slaughter an animal, and prepare it; for the men will eat with me at noon.

家宰就遵着约瑟的命去行，领他们进约瑟的屋里。
And the man did as Joseph said, and the man brought the men into Joseph's house.

他们因为被领到约瑟的屋里，就害怕，说，必是因为头次归还在我们袋子里的银子，才领我们到这里来，要找机会下手害我们，强取我们作奴仆，抢夺我们的驴。
And the men were afraid because they were brought to Joseph's house; and they said, It is because of the silver that was returned in our sacks the first time, that we are being brought in, that he may come out against us and fall upon us and take us as slaves with our donkeys.

他们就挨近约瑟的家宰，在屋门口和他说话，
And they came near to the man who was over Joseph's house and spoke to him at the door of the house,

说，我主啊，我们头次下来实在是要买粮食。
And said, Please, my lord, we indeed came down the first time to buy grain for food;

后来到了住宿的地方，我们打开袋子，不料，各人的银子分量足数，仍在各人的袋口；现在我们手里又带回来了。
And when we came to the lodging place, we opened our sacks, and there was each man's silver, in the mouth of his sack, our silver in full weight. So we have brought it back in our hand.

我们手里还另外带下银子来买粮食。我们不知道先前谁把银子放在我们的袋子里。
And we have also brought down extra silver in our hand to buy grain for food. We do not know who put our silver in our sacks.

家宰说，你们可以放心，不要害怕，是你们的神和你们父亲的神，赐给你们财宝在你们的袋子里；你们的银子，我早已收了。他就把西缅带出来，交给他们。
And he said, Be at peace; do not fear. Your God and the God of your father has given you treasure in your sacks; your silver came to me. Then he brought Simeon out to them.

家宰就领他们进约瑟的屋里，给他们水洗脚，又给他们饲粮喂驴。
And the man brought the men into Joseph's house and gave them water, and they washed their feet; and he gave their donkeys fodder.

他们就预备礼物，等候约瑟正午来，因为他们听见要在那里吃饭。
And they prepared the present for Joseph's coming at noon, for they had heard that they would eat a meal there.

约瑟来到家里，他们就把手中的礼物拿进屋去给他，又俯伏在地，向他下拜。
And when Joseph came into the house, they brought him the present which was in their hand into the house and bowed down to the ground to him.

约瑟问他们安，又说，你们的父亲，就是你们所说的那老人家平安么？他还健在么？
And he asked them about their welfare and said, Is your father well, the old man of whom you spoke? Is he still alive?

他们回答说，你仆人我们的父亲平安；他还健在。于是他们低头下拜。
And they said, Your servant our father is well; he is still alive. And they bowed and paid him homage.

约瑟举目看见他同母的弟弟便雅悯，就说，你们向我所说那最小的弟弟，就是这位么？又说，小儿啊，愿神赐恩给你。
And he lifted up his eyes and saw his brother Benjamin, his mother's son, and said, Is this your youngest brother, of whom you spoke to me? And he said, God be gracious to you, my son.

约瑟爱弟之情发动，就急忙寻找可哭之处，进入自己的内室，哭了一场。
And Joseph hurried — for his inward parts burned for his brother — and sought a place to weep. So he entered into his chamber and wept there.

他洗了脸出来，勉强忍住，吩咐人摆饭。
Then he washed his face and came out, and he controlled himself and said, Serve the meal.

他们就为约瑟单摆了一席，为那些人又摆了一席，也为和约瑟同吃饭的埃及人另摆了一席，因为埃及人不可和希伯来人一同吃饭；那原是埃及人所厌恶的。
And they served him by himself, and them by themselves, and the Egyptians who ate with him by themselves, because the Egyptians could not eat a meal with the Hebrews, for that is an abomination to the Egyptians.

约瑟使众弟兄在他面前坐席，都按着长幼的次序，众弟兄就彼此惊奇相看。
And they sat before him, the firstborn according to his birthright and the youngest according to his youth, and the men looked at one another in astonishment.

约瑟把他面前的食物分出来，送给他们；但便雅悯所得的分，比别人多五倍。他们就饮酒，和约瑟一同宴乐。
And he had portions brought to them from before him; however Benjamin's portion was five times as much as any of theirs. And they drank and were merry with him.

约瑟吩咐家宰说，把粮食装满这些人的袋子，尽他们所能带的，又把各人的银子放在各人的袋口内；
And he commanded him who was over his house, saying, Fill the men's sacks with food, as much as they can carry, and put each man's silver in the mouth of his sack.

并将我的银杯，和那最年幼的买粮的银子，一同装在他的袋口内。家宰就照约瑟所说的话行了。
And put my cup, the silver cup, in the mouth of the sack of the youngest with his silver for the grain. And he did so, according to the word that Joseph had spoken.

早晨天一亮，就打发那些人带着驴走了。
As soon as the morning was light, the men were sent away, they and their donkeys.

他们出城走了不远，约瑟对家宰说，起来，追那些人去，追上了就对他们说，你们为什么以恶报善？
When they had just gone out of the city and were not yet far off, Joseph said to him who was over his house, Rise up, follow after the men; and when you overtake them, say to them, Why have you repaid evil for good?

这不是我主人饮酒的杯么？岂不是他占卜用的么？你们这样行是作恶了。
Is not this that from which my lord drinks, and which he indeed uses for divining? You have done wrong in so doing.

家宰追上他们，将这些话对他们说了。
And he overtook them and spoke these words to them.

他们回答说，我主为什么说这样的话？你仆人绝不会作这样的事。
And they said to him, Why does my lord speak such words as these? Far be it from your servants to do such a thing.

你看，我们从前在袋口里所发现的银子，尚且从迦南地带来还你，我们怎能从你主人家里偷窃金银呢？
See how we brought back to you from the land of Canaan the silver which we found in the mouth of our sacks. How then could we steal silver or gold out of your lord's house?

在你仆人中，无论从谁那里搜出来，就叫他死，我们也作我主的奴仆。
With whomever of your servants it is found, let him die; and we ourselves will become my lord's slaves.

家宰说，现在就照你们的话行吧。从谁那里搜出来，谁就作我的奴仆，你们其余的都没有罪。
And he said, Now also let it be according to your words: He with whom it is found will be my slave, and the rest of you will be blameless.

于是他们各人急忙把袋子卸在地上，各人打开自己的袋子。
Then each man hurried and lowered his sack to the ground, and each man opened his sack.

家宰就搜查，从最年长的起，到最年幼的为止，那杯竟在便雅悯的袋子里搜出来。
And he searched, beginning with the oldest and ending with the youngest; and the cup was found in Benjamin's sack.

他们就撕裂衣服，各人把驮子抬在驴上，回城去了。
Then they tore their garments, and each man loaded his donkey, and they returned to the city.

犹大和他弟兄们来到约瑟的屋中，约瑟还在那里，他们就在他面前俯伏于地。
And Judah and his brothers came to Joseph's house, and he was still there; and they fell to the ground before him.

约瑟对他们说，你们作的是什么事？你们岂不知像我这样的人必能占卜么？
And Joseph said to them, What deed is this that you have done? Do you not know that such a man as I can indeed divine?

犹大说，我们能对我主说什么？还能说什么呢？我们怎能表白自己？神已经查出你仆人们的罪孽了。我们与那在他手中搜出杯来的，都是我主的奴仆。
And Judah said, What can we say to my lord? What can we speak? And how can we justify ourselves? God has found out the iniquity of your servants. Here we are, my lord's slaves, both we and the one in whose hand the cup has been found.

约瑟说，我绝不能这样行。在谁的手中搜出杯来，谁就作我的奴仆；至于你们其余的人，可以平平安安地上你们父亲那里去。
But he said, Far be it from me to do this. The man in whose hand the cup has been found, he will be my slave; but as for the rest of you, go up in peace to your father.

犹大挨近他，说，我主啊，求你让仆人说一句话给我主听，不要向仆人发烈怒，因为你如同法老一样。
Then Judah came near to him and said, Please, my lord, let your servant speak a word in my lord's ears, and let not your anger burn against your servant; for you are even as Pharaoh.

我主曾问仆人们说，你们有父亲、有兄弟没有？
My lord asked his servants, saying, Do you have a father or a brother?

我们对我主说，我们有年老的父亲，还有他老年所生的一个小孩子。他哥哥死了，他母亲只撇下他一个人，他父亲疼爱他。
And we said to my lord, We have an old father and a young child of his old age; and his brother is dead, and he alone is left of his mother, and his father loves him.

你对仆人们说，把他带下来到我这里，叫我可以亲眼看看他。
And you said to your servants, Bring him down to me, that I may set my eyes on him.

我们对我主说，少年人不能离开他父亲，若是离开，他父亲必会死。
And we said to my lord, The boy cannot leave his father; for if he should leave his father, his father would die.

你对仆人说，你们最小的弟弟若不与你们一同下来，你们就不得再见我的面。
And you said to your servants, Unless your youngest brother comes down with you, you shall see my face no more.

我们上到你仆人我们父亲那里，就把我主的话告诉了他。
And when we went up to your servant my father, we told him my lord's words.

我们的父亲说，你们再去给我们买一点粮食来。
And our father said, Return, buy us a little food.

但我们说，我们不能下去。我们最小的弟弟若与我们同往，我们就下去。因为最小的弟弟若不与我们同往，我们必不得见那人的面。
But we said, We cannot go down. If our youngest brother is with us, we will go down; for we cannot see the man's face unless our youngest brother is with us.

你仆人我父亲对我们说，你们知道我的妻子给我生了两个儿子。
And your servant my father said to us, You know that my wife bore me two sons;

一个离开我去了，我说他必是被撕碎了，直到如今我没有见到他。
And the one went away from me, and I said, Surely he has been torn to pieces; and I have not seen him to this day.

现在你们又要把这个带去离开我，倘若他遭害，那便是你们使我白发苍苍、悲悲惨惨地下阴间去了。
And if you take this one also from me and harm befalls him, you will bring down my gray hairs in misery to Sheol.

我父亲的命与这少年人的命相连。如今我回到你仆人我父亲那里，若没有少年人与我们同在，
Now therefore when I come to your servant my father, and the boy is not with us, then, his life being bound up in the boy's life,

我们的父亲见没有少年人，他就必死。这便是我们使你仆人我们的父亲白发苍苍、悲悲惨惨地下阴间去了。
When he sees that the boy is not with us, he will die; and your servants will bring down the gray hairs of your servant our father in sorrow to Sheol.

因为仆人曾向我父亲为这少年人作保，说，我若不带他回来交给你，我便永远在父亲面前担罪。
For your servant became surety for the lad to my father, saying, If I do not bring him to you, then I shall bear the blame of sinning before my father forever.

现在求你让仆人留下，替这少年人作我主的奴仆，叫他和哥哥们一同上去。
Now therefore, please let your servant remain as a slave to my lord instead of the boy, and let the boy go up with his brothers.

若这少年人不和我同去，我怎能上去见我父亲？我怕看见灾祸临到我父亲身上。
For how shall I go up to my father if the boy is not with me? I fear to see the evil that would come on my father.
