三 靠信基督的那灵与靠行律法的肉体相对 三1~四31 The Spirit by Faith in Christ versus the Flesh by Works of Law 1 那灵是因信基督所得应许之福 三1~14 The Spirit Being the Blessing of the Promise by Faith in Christ 加拉太书第三章 无知的加拉太人哪,耶稣基督钉十字架,已经活画在你们眼前,谁竟迷惑了你们?
O foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was openly portrayed crucified? 我只愿问你们这一件,你们接受了那灵,是本于行律法,还是本于听信仰?
This only I wish to learn from you, Did you receive the Spirit out of the works of law or out of the hearing of faith? 你们是这样的无知么?你们既靠那灵开始,如今还靠肉体成全么?
Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh? 你们受苦如此之多,都是徒然的么?难道果真是徒然的么?
Have you suffered so many things in vain, if indeed it was in vain? 这样,那丰富供应你们那灵,又在你们中间行异能的,是本于行律法,还是本于听信仰?
He therefore who bountifully supplies to you the Spirit and does works of power among you, does He do it out of the works of law or out of the hearing of faith? 正如“亚伯拉罕信神,这就算为他的义。”
Even as “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him as righteousness.” 所以你们要知道,那以信为本的人,就是亚伯拉罕的子孙。
Know then that they who are of faith, these are sons of Abraham. 并且圣经既预先看明,神要本于信称外邦人为义,就预先传福音给亚伯拉罕,说,“万国都必因你得福。”
And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles out of faith, announced the gospel beforehand to Abraham: “In you shall all the nations be blessed.” 这样,那以信为本的人,便和那信的亚伯拉罕一同得福。
So then they who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham. 凡以行律法为本的,都在咒诅之下,因为经上记着:“凡不常常照着律法书上所记一切之事去行的,都是被咒诅的。”
For as many as are of the works of law are under a curse; for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all the things written in the book of the law to do them.” 没有一个人凭着律法在神面前得称义,乃是明显的,因为“义人必本于信得生并活着;”
And that by law no one is justified before God is evident because, “The righteous one shall have life and live by faith”; 但律法不是本于信,只说,“行这些事的,必因这些事活着。”
But the law is not of faith, yet, “He who does them shall live because of them.” 基督既为我们成了咒诅,就赎出我们脱离律法的咒诅,因为经上记着:“凡挂在木头上的,都是被咒诅的,”
Christ has redeemed us out of the curse of the law, having become a curse on our behalf; because it is written, “Cursed is everyone hanging on a tree”; 为叫亚伯拉罕的福,在基督耶稣里可以临到外邦人,使我们借着信,可以接受所应许的那灵。
In order that the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. 2 律法是承受应许者的监护人 三15~29 The Law Being the Custodian of the Heirs of the Promise 弟兄们,我照着人的常话说,即使是人的约,若已经立定了,就没有人可以废弃,或加增的。
Brothers, I speak according to man, though it is a man's covenant, yet when it has been ratified, no one nullifies it or makes additions to it. 应许原是向亚伯拉罕和他后裔说的。并不是说,“和众后裔,”像是指着许多人,乃是说,“和你那后裔,”指着一个人,就是基督。
But to Abraham were the promises spoken and to his seed. He does not say, And to the seeds, as concerning many, but as concerning one: “And to your seed,” who is Christ. 而且我这样说,神预先所立定的约,不能被那四百三十年以后才有的律法废掉,以致使应许失效。
And I say this: A covenant previously ratified by God, the law, having come four hundred and thirty years after, does not annul so as to make the promise of none effect. 因为承受产业若是本于律法,就不再本于应许;但神已经借着应许,将产业恩赐亚伯拉罕。
For if the inheritance is of law, it is no longer of promise; but to Abraham God has graciously given it through promise. 这样,律法是为什么有的?乃是因过犯添上的,直等那蒙应许的后裔来到;并且是借天使经中保之手设立的。
Why then the law? It was added because of the transgressions until the seed should come to whom the promise was made, it being ordained through angels in the hand of a mediator. 但中保不是一面的,神却是一位。
But a mediator is not a mediator for one, but God is one. 这样,律法是与神的应许相反么?绝对不是!因为若曾赐给一个能赐生命的律法,义就真是本于律法了。
Is then the law against the promises of God? Absolutely not! For if a law had been given which was able to give life, righteousness would have indeed been of law. 但圣经把众人都圈在罪里,好叫那以信耶稣基督为本的应许,可以赐给那些信的人。
But the Scripture has shut up all under sin in order that the promise out of faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe. 但信仰还未来到以先,我们是被看守在律法之下,被圈住好归于那要显示的信仰。
But before faith came we were guarded under law, being shut up unto the faith which was to be revealed. 这样,律法成了我们的儿童导师,带我们归于基督,好使我们本于信得称义。
So then the law has become our child-conductor unto Christ that we might be justified out of faith. 但信仰既然来到,我们就不再在儿童导师的手下了,
But since faith has come, we are no longer under a child-conductor. 因为你们众人借着相信基督耶稣,都是神的儿子。
For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 你们凡浸入基督的,都已经穿上了基督。
For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 没有犹太人或希利尼人,没有为奴的或自主的,也没有男和女,因为你们众人在基督耶稣里,都是一了。
There cannot be Jew nor Greek, there cannot be slave nor free man, there cannot be male and female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 你们既属于基督,就是亚伯拉罕的后裔,是照着应许为后嗣了。
And if you are of Christ, then you are Abraham's seed, heirs according to promise.

七 在各种例证上 五8~六12 In Sundry Illustrations 你若在一省之中见穷人受欺压,公义和公理被夺去,不要因此诧异;因有一位高过居高位的在鉴察;在他们以上还有更高的。
If you see the oppression of the poor and the wresting of justice and righteousness in a province, do not be astonished at the matter; for one higher official watches over another high official, and there are higher officials over them. 君王注重田地的耕种,对国总是有益。
And a king who cultivates the field is always an advantage for a land. 爱银子的,不因得银子知足;爱丰富的,也不因有收入知足。这也是虚空。
He who loves silver will not be satisfied with silver, nor he who loves abundance with income. This also is vanity. 货物增多,吃的人也增多,物主得什么益处呢?不过眼看而已。
When goods increase, those who eat them increase; so what advantage do their owners have except to see them with their eyes? 劳力的人不拘吃多吃少,睡得香甜;富足人的丰足,却不容他睡觉。
Sweet is the sleep of the laborer, whether he eats little or much; but the fullness of the rich will not let him sleep. 我见日光之下有一大祸患,就是财主守住财富,反害自己。
There is a grievous evil that I have seen under the sun: riches kept by their owner to his own hurt, 因生意不顺,这些财富就丧失;那人若生了儿子,手里也一无所有。
And those riches were lost in a bad venture; and having begotten a son, he had nothing in his hand. 他怎样出母腹赤身而来,也必照样赤身而去;他所劳碌得来的,手中分毫不能带去。
As he came forth from his mother's womb, he will return naked as he came; and he will take nothing of his labor that he may carry in his hand. 他来的情形怎样,他去的情形也怎样,这也是一大祸患;他为风劳碌有什么益处呢?
And this also is a grievous evil: in all points, as he came, so will he go; so what is the advantage to him who has labored for the wind? 他终身在黑暗中吃喝,多有烦恼、病痛、愤怨。
Throughout all his days he also eats in darkness and has much vexation and sickness and resentment. 我所见为善为美的,就是人在神赐他一生有数的日子吃喝,在日光之下一切劳碌中享美福,因为这是他的分。
Here is what I have seen to be good and what is pleasant: to eat and to drink and to taste enjoyment in all his labor by which he labors under the sun during the few days of his life, which God has given him; for this is his portion. 神赐各人资财丰富,使他能以吃用,能取自己的分,在他劳碌中快乐,这乃是神的恩赐。
Moreover, for every man to whom God has given riches and wealth, and has empowered him to eat of them and to take his portion and to rejoice in his labor — this is the gift of God. 他不多思念自己一生的日子,因为神使他的心忙于享乐。
For he will not brood much over the days of his life, because God keeps him occupied with the gladness of his heart. 传道书第六章 我见日光之下有一祸患,重压在人身上,
There is an evil that I have seen under the sun, and it is heavy upon man: 就是人蒙神赐他资财、丰富、尊荣,以致他心里所愿的一样都不缺,只是神使他不能吃用,反有外人来吃用。这是虚空,也是大祸患。
A man to whom God gives riches, wealth, and honor, so that nothing is lacking to his soul of all that he desires, and yet God does not empower him to eat of it, but a stranger eats it. This is vanity and an evil plague. 人若生一百个儿女,活许多岁数,以致他的年日甚多,心里却不得满享福乐,又不得安葬;我就说,那不到期而落的胎比他倒好;
If a man begets a hundred children and lives many years, so that the days of his years are many, but his soul is not filled with good and even does not get a proper burial, I say that the stillborn is better off than he; 因为这胎虚虚而来,暗暗而去,名字被黑暗遮蔽;
For it comes in vanity and goes off in darkness, and in darkness its name is covered; 并且没有见过天日,也毫无知觉;这胎比那人倒享安息。
Moreover it has not seen the sun and does not know anything; this one has rest rather than that one. 那人即使活千年,再活千年,却不得享美福,众人岂不都归一个地方去么?
Indeed, even if he lives a thousand years twice and does not taste enjoyment, do not all go to one place? 人的劳碌都是为口腹,口欲却不满足。
All a man's labor is for his mouth, and yet his appetite is not filled. 智慧人比愚昧人有什么长处呢?穷人在活人面前知道如何行,有什么长处呢?
For what advantage does the wise man have over the fool? What advantage does the poor man have in knowing how to walk before the living? 眼睛看见,比心里妄想要好。这也是虚空,也是捕风。
Better is seeing with the eyes than wandering with the soul. This also is vanity and a chasing after wind. 现今有的,早已命定了;大家都知道人是怎样,他不能与那比自己力大的相争。
That which is has already been determined, and it is known what man is and that he cannot contend with him who is stronger than he. 加增虚空的事既多,这与人有什么益处呢?
For there are many things which will increase vanity. What is the advantage to man? 人一生虚度的日子,如同影儿经过,谁知道一生中什么与他有益呢?谁能告诉人身后在日光之下有什么事呢?
For who knows what is good for a man in life during the few days of his vain life, which he will spend as a shadow? For who can tell a man what will be after him under the sun? |
