And when He saw the crowds, He went up to the mountain. And after He sat down, His disciples came to Him.
但祂看见这些群众，就上了山；既已坐下，门徒到祂跟前来。

And opening His mouth, He taught them, saying,
祂就开口教训他们说，

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of the heavens.
灵里贫穷的人有福了，因为诸天的国是他们的。

Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
哀恸的人有福了，因为他们必得安慰。

Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.
温柔的人有福了，因为他们必承受地土。

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.
饥渴慕义的人有福了，因为他们必得饱足。

Blessed are the merciful, for they shall be shown mercy.
怜悯人的人有福了，因为他们必蒙怜悯。

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
清心的人有福了，因为他们必看见神。

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the sons of God.
制造和平的人有福了，因为他们必称为神的儿子。

Blessed are those who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of the heavens.
为义受逼迫的人有福了，因为诸天的国是他们的。

Blessed are you when they reproach and persecute you, and while speaking lies, say every evil thing against you because of Me.
人若因我的缘故，辱骂你们，逼迫你们，捏造各样坏话毁谤你们，你们就有福了。

Rejoice and exult, for your reward is great in the heavens; for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
应当喜乐欢腾，因为你们在诸天之上的赏赐是大的；原来在你们以前的申言者，人也是这样逼迫他们。

You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt has become tasteless, with what shall it be salted? It is no longer good for anything except to be cast out and trampled underfoot by men.
你们是地上的盐；盐若失了味，可用什么叫它再咸？既无任何用处，只好丢在外面，任人践踏了。

You are the light of the world. It is impossible for a city situated upon a mountain to be hidden.
你们是世上的光。城立在山上，是不能隐藏的。

Nor do men light a lamp and place it under the bushel, but on the lampstand; and it shines to all who are in the house.
人点灯，也不放在斗底下，乃是放在灯台上，就照亮所有在家里的人。

In the same way, let your light shine before men, so that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in the heavens.
你们的光也当这样照在人前，叫他们看见你们的好行为，就荣耀你们在诸天之上的父。

These are the generations of Shem. Shem was one hundred years old when he begot Arpachshad, two years after the flood.
闪的后代记在下面：洪水以后二年，闪一百岁生了亚法撒。

And Shem lived after he had begotten Arpachshad five hundred years, and he begot more sons and daughters.
闪生亚法撒之后，又活了五百年，并且生儿生女。

And Arpachshad lived thirty-five years and begot Shelah.
亚法撒活到三十五岁，生了沙拉。

And Arpachshad lived after he had begotten Shelah four hundred three years, and he begot more sons and daughters.
亚法撒生沙拉之后，又活了四百零三年，并且生儿生女。

And Shelah lived thirty years and begot Eber.
沙拉活到三十岁，生了希伯。

And Shelah lived after he had begotten Eber four hundred three years, and he begot more sons and daughters.
沙拉生希伯之后，又活了四百零三年，并且生儿生女。

And Eber lived thirty-four years and begot Peleg.
希伯活到三十四岁，生了法勒。

And Eber lived after he had begotten Peleg four hundred thirty years, and he begot more sons and daughters.
希伯生法勒之后，又活了四百三十年，并且生儿生女。

And Peleg lived thirty years and begot Reu.
法勒活到三十岁，生了拉吴。

And Peleg lived after he had begotten Reu two hundred nine years, and he begot more sons and daughters.
法勒生拉吴之后，又活了二百零九年，并且生儿生女。

And Reu lived thirty-two years and begot Serug.
拉吴活到三十二岁，生了西鹿。

And Reu lived after he had begotten Serug two hundred seven years, and he begot more sons and daughters.
拉吴生西鹿之后，又活了二百零七年，并且生儿生女。

And Serug lived thirty years and begot Nahor.
西鹿活到三十岁，生了拿鹤。

And Serug lived after he had begotten Nahor two hundred years, and he begot more sons and daughters.
西鹿生拿鹤之后，又活了二百年，并且生儿生女。

And Nahor lived twenty-nine years and begot Terah.
拿鹤活到二十九岁，生了他拉。

And Nahor lived after he had begotten Terah one hundred nineteen years, and he begot more sons and daughters.
拿鹤生他拉之后，又活了一百一十九年，并且生儿生女。

And Terah lived seventy years and begot Abram, Nahor, and Haran.
他拉活到七十岁，生了亚伯兰、拿鹤、哈兰。

Now these are the generations of Terah. Terah begot Abram, Nahor, and Haran. And Haran begot Lot.
他拉的后代记在下面：他拉生亚伯兰、拿鹤、哈兰；哈兰生罗得。

And Haran died before his father Terah in the land of his birth, in Ur of the Chaldeans.
哈兰死在他的出生地迦勒底的吾珥，在他父亲他拉之先。

And Abram and Nahor took wives for themselves: The name of Abram's wife was Sarai, and the name of Nahor's wife was Milcah, the daughter of Haran, the father of Milcah and the father of Iscah.
亚伯兰、拿鹤各娶了妻子：亚伯兰的妻子名叫撒莱；拿鹤的妻子名叫密迦，是哈兰的女儿；哈兰是密迦和亦迦的父亲。

And Sarai was barren; she had no child.
撒莱不能生育，没有孩子。

And Terah took Abram his son and Lot the son of Haran, his son's son, and Sarai his daughter-in-law, his son Abram's wife; and they went out together from Ur of the Chaldeans to go to the land of Canaan, but when they came to Haran they settled there.
他拉带着他儿子亚伯兰和他孙子哈兰的儿子罗得，并他儿媳亚伯兰的妻子撒莱，一起出了迦勒底的吾珥，要往迦南地去；他们走到哈兰，就住在那里。

And the days of Terah were two hundred five years, and Terah died in Haran.
他拉共活了二百零五岁，就死在哈兰。

Now Jehovah said to Abram, Go from your land / And from your relatives / And from your father's house / To the land that I will show you;
耶和华对亚伯兰说，你要离开本地、亲族、父家，往我所要指示你的地去。

And I will make of you a great nation, / And I will bless you / And make your name great; / And you shall be a blessing.
我必使你成为大国；我必赐福给你，使你的名为大；你也要使别人得福。

And I will bless those who bless you, / And him who curses you I will curse; / And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed.
那为你祝福的，我必赐福与他；那咒诅你的，我必咒诅他。地上的万族都必因你得福。

So Abram went as Jehovah had spoken to him, and Lot went with him. Now Abram was seventy-five years old when he went out of Haran.
亚伯兰就照着耶和华的吩咐去了；罗得也和他同去。亚伯兰出哈兰的时候，年七十五岁。

And Abram took Sarai his wife and Lot his brother's son and all their possessions that they had gathered and the souls that they had acquired in Haran, and they went out to go to the land of Canaan. And they came to the land of Canaan.
亚伯兰将他妻子撒莱和侄儿罗得，连他们在哈兰所积聚的家产、所得的人口，都带出来，往迦南地去。他们就到了迦南地。

And Abram passed through the land to the place of Shechem, to the oak of Moreh. And at that time the Canaanites were in the land.
亚伯兰经过那地，到了示剑地方、摩利橡树那里。当时迦南人住在那地。

And Jehovah appeared to Abram and said, To your seed I will give this land.
耶和华向亚伯兰显现，说，我要把这地赐给你的后裔。

And there he built an altar to Jehovah who had appeared to him.
亚伯兰就在那里为向他显现的耶和华筑了一座坛。

And he proceeded from there to the mountain on the east of Bethel and pitched his tent, with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east; and there he built an altar to Jehovah and called upon the name of Jehovah.
从那里他又迁到伯特利东边的山，支搭帐棚；西边是伯特利，东边是艾；他在那里又为耶和华筑了一座坛，并且呼求耶和华的名。

And Abram journeyed onward, journeying toward the Negev.
后来亚伯兰又往前行，渐渐迁到南地去。

And there was a famine in the land; and Abram went down to Egypt to sojourn there, for the famine was severe in the land.
那地遭遇饥荒；因饥荒甚重，亚伯兰就下埃及去，要在那里寄居。

And when he was about to enter into Egypt, he said to Sarai his wife, I know indeed that you are a beautiful woman to look at;
他将近埃及，就对妻子撒莱说，我知道你是容貌美丽的妇人。

And when the Egyptians see you, they will say, This is his wife, and they will kill me; but they will keep you alive.
埃及人看见你，必说，这是他的妻子，他们就会杀我，却叫你活着。

Now say you are my sister, that it may be well with me on account of you and I may live because of you.
求你说，你是我的妹妹，使我因你得善待，我的命也因你存活。

And it came about that when Abram came to Egypt, the Egyptians saw that the woman was very beautiful.
及至亚伯兰到了埃及，埃及人看见那妇人极其美丽。

And Pharaoh's officials saw her and praised her before Pharaoh, and the woman was taken into Pharaoh's house.
法老的大臣看见了她，就在法老面前称赞她；那妇人就被带进法老的宫里去。

And he treated Abram well on account of her, and there were given to him sheep and oxen and donkeys and male servants and female servants and female donkeys and camels.
法老因这妇人就善待亚伯兰，亚伯兰得了许多牛、羊、骆驼、公驴、母驴、仆人、婢女。

And Jehovah struck Pharaoh and his house with great plagues because of Sarai, Abram's wife.
耶和华因亚伯兰妻子撒莱的缘故，以大灾病击打法老和他全家。

And Pharaoh called Abram and said, What is this you have done to me? Why did you not tell me that she was your wife?
法老就召了亚伯兰来，说，你这向我作的是什么事？为什么没有告诉我，她是你的妻子？

Why did you say, She is my sister, so that I took her to be my wife? Now then here is your wife; take her and go.
为什么说她是你的妹妹，以致我把她取来要作我的妻子？现在你的妻子在这里，把她带走吧。

And Pharaoh commanded his men concerning him, and they sent him away with his wife and all that he had.
于是法老吩咐人将亚伯兰和他妻子，并他所有的都送走了。

And Abram went up out of Egypt, he and his wife and all that he had, and Lot with him, into the Negev.
亚伯兰带着他的妻子和一切所有的，以及罗得，都从埃及上南地去。

And Abram was very rich in livestock, in silver and in gold.
亚伯兰的金、银、牲畜极多。

And he continued on his journey from the Negev as far as Bethel, to the place where his tent had been at the beginning, between Bethel and Ai,
他从南地继续往前行，直到伯特利，到了伯特利和艾的中间，就是他起初支搭帐棚的地方，

To the place of the altar, which he had made there formerly; and there Abram called on the name of Jehovah.
也是他先前筑坛的地方；他又在那里呼求耶和华的名。

And Lot, who went with Abram, also had flocks and herds and tents.
与亚伯兰同行的罗得，也有牛群、羊群、帐棚。

And the land could not support them that they might dwell together, for their possessions were so great that they could not dwell together.
那地容纳不下他们；因为他们的家产甚多，使他们不能同住一起。

And there was strife between the herdsmen of Abram's livestock and the herdsmen of Lot's livestock. And at that time the Canaanites and the Perizzites dwelt in the land.
当时，迦南人与比利洗人在那地居住。牧养亚伯兰牲畜的人和牧养罗得牲畜的人起了争执。

And Abram said to Lot, Let there please be no strife between me and you and between my herdsmen and your herdsmen, for we are brothers.
亚伯兰就对罗得说，你我不可相争，你的牧人和我的牧人也不可相争，因为我们是弟兄。

Is not the whole land before you? Please separate yourself from me. If you go to the left, then I will go to the right. Or if you go to the right, then I will go to the left.
遍地不都在你面前么？请你离开我；你向左，我就向右；你向右，我就向左。

And Lot lifted up his eyes and saw the entire plain of the Jordan, that it was well watered everywhere — this was before Jehovah had destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah — like the garden of Jehovah, like the land of Egypt, as you go to Zoar.
罗得举目看见约但河的全平原，直到琐珥，都是滋润的；那地在耶和华毁灭所多玛、蛾摩拉以前，如同耶和华的园子，也像埃及地。

So Lot chose for himself the entire plain of the Jordan, and Lot journeyed east; and they separated themselves from each other.
于是罗得为自己选择约但河的全平原，往东迁移；他们就彼此分离了。

Abram dwelt in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelt in the cities of the plain and moved his tent as far as Sodom.
亚伯兰住在迦南地；罗得住在平原的城邑，并且渐渐挪移帐棚，直到所多玛。

Now the men of Sodom were very wicked and sinful toward Jehovah.
所多玛人在耶和华面前罪大恶极。

And Jehovah said to Abram after Lot had separated from him, Now lift up your eyes, and look from the place where you are, northward and southward and eastward and westward;
罗得离别亚伯兰以后，耶和华对亚伯兰说，从你所在的地方，举目向东西南北观看；

For all the land that you see I will give to you and to your seed forever.
凡你所看见的一切地，我都要赐给你和你的后裔，直到永远。

And I will make your seed as the dust of the earth, so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then your seed can also be numbered.
我也要使你的后裔如同地上的尘沙那样多，人若能数算地上的尘沙，才能数算你的后裔。

Rise up; walk through the land according to its length and its breadth, for I will give it to you.
你起来，纵横走遍这地，因为我必把这地赐给你。

And Abram moved his tent and came and dwelt by the oaks of Mamre, which are in Hebron, and there he built an altar to Jehovah.
亚伯兰就搬了帐棚，来到希伯仑幔利的橡树那里居住，在那里为耶和华筑了一座坛。
