And behold, a certain lawyer stood up and put Him to the test, saying, Teacher, what should I do to inherit eternal life?
看哪，有一个律法师站起来，试探耶稣说，夫子，我该作什么，才可以承受永远的生命？

And He said to him, What is written in the law? How do you read it?
耶稣对他说，律法上写的是什么？你是怎么念的？

And he answered and said, “You shall love the Lord your God from your whole heart and with your whole soul and with your whole strength and with your whole mind, and your neighbor as yourself.”
他回答说，“你要全心、全魂、全力并全心思，爱主你的神；又要爱邻舍如同自己。”

And He said to him, You have answered correctly; do this, and you shall have life.
耶稣说，你答得对，你这样行，就必得着生命。

But he, wanting to justify himself, said to Jesus, And who is my neighbor?
那人想要称义自己，就对耶稣说，谁是我的邻舍？

Jesus, taking up the question, said, A certain man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he fell among robbers, who having both stripped him and beaten him, went away, leaving him half dead.
耶稣接着说，有一个人从耶路撒冷下耶利哥去，落在强盗中间，他们剥去他的衣服，把他打个半死，就撇下他走了。

And by coincidence a certain priest was going down on that road; and when he saw him, he passed by on the opposite side.
适巧有一个祭司，从这条路下来，看见他，就从对面过去了。

And likewise also a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the opposite side.
又有一个利未人，来到这地方，看见，也照样从对面过去了。

But a certain Samaritan, who was journeying, came upon him; and when he saw him, he was moved with compassion;
但有一个撒玛利亚人，行路来到他那里，看见，就动了慈心，

And he came to him and bound up his wounds and poured oil and wine on them. And placing him on his own beast, he brought him to an inn and took care of him.
上前把油和酒倒在他的伤处，包裹好了，扶他骑上自己的牲口，带到客店里照料他。

And on the next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper and said, Take care of him; and whatever you spend in addition to this, when I return, I will repay you.
第二天，拿出两个银币，交给店主说，请你照料他；此外所花费的，我回来必还你。

Which of these three, does it seem to you, has become a neighbor to him who fell into the hands of the robbers?
你想这三个人，哪一个是落在强盗手中之人的邻舍？

And he said, The one who showed mercy to him. And Jesus said to him, Go, and you do likewise.
他说，是那怜悯他的。耶稣说，你去照样行吧。

Then the heads of the fathers' houses of the Levites approached Eleazar the priest and Joshua the son of Nun and the heads of the fathers' houses of the tribes of the children of Israel,
那时，利未人宗族的首领来到祭司以利亚撒和嫩的儿子约书亚，并以色列人各支派宗族的首领面前，

And they spoke to them in Shiloh in the land of Canaan, saying, Jehovah commanded through Moses that we be given cities to dwell in with their pasture lands for our cattle.
在迦南地的示罗对他们说，从前耶和华借着摩西吩咐给我们城邑居住，并城邑的郊野可以牧放我们的牲畜。

So the children of Israel gave the Levites, according to the commandment of Jehovah, these cities with their pasture lands out of their inheritance:
于是以色列人照耶和华所吩咐的，从自己的地业中，将以下所记的城邑和城邑的郊野给了利未人。

And the lot came out for the families of the Kohathites. And to the children of Aaron the priest who were of the Levites there went by lot thirteen cities out of the tribe of Judah and out of the tribe of the Simeonites and out of the tribe of Benjamin.
为哥辖人的家族拈出阄来。利未人中祭司亚伦的子孙，从犹大支派、西缅支派、便雅悯支派的地业中，按阄得了十三座城。

And to the rest of the children of Kohath there went by lot ten cities out of the families of the tribe of Ephraim and out of the tribe of Dan and out of the half-tribe of Manasseh.
哥辖其余的子孙，从以法莲支派的家族、但支派、玛拿西半支派的地业中，按阄得了十座城。

And to the children of Gershon there went by lot thirteen cities out of the families of the tribe of Issachar and out of the tribe of Asher and out of the tribe of Naphtali and out of the half-tribe of Manasseh in Bashan.
革顺的子孙，从以萨迦支派的家族、亚设支派、拿弗他利支派、在巴珊的玛拿西半支派的地业中，按阄得了十三座城。

To the children of Merari according to their families there went twelve cities out of the tribe of Reuben and out of the tribe of Gad and out of the tribe of Zebulun.
米拉利的子孙，按着家族，从流便支派、迦得支派、西布伦支派的地业中，按阄得了十二座城。

So the children of Israel gave by lot to the Levites these cities with their pasture lands, as Jehovah had commanded through Moses.
以色列人照着耶和华借摩西所吩咐的，将这些城邑和城邑的郊野，按阄给了利未人。

And out of the tribe of the children of Judah and out of the tribe of the children of Simeon they gave these cities, which are here mentioned by name;
从犹大子孙支派和西缅子孙支派地业中所给的，有以下提名的城；

And they went to the children of Aaron, one of the families of the Kohathites, of the children of Levi; for the first lot was theirs.
这些城归给亚伦的子孙，利未人中哥辖人的一个家族，因为第一阄是他们的。

And they gave them Kiriath-arba (Arba was the father of Anak), which is Hebron, in the hill country of Judah, with its pasture lands around it.
以色列人将犹大山地的基列亚巴（亚巴是亚衲人的始祖）和四围的郊野给了他们；基列亚巴就是希伯仑。

But the fields of the city and its villages they gave to Caleb the son of Jephunneh for his possession.
惟将属城的田地和村庄给了耶孚尼的儿子迦勒为业。

And to the children of Aaron the priest they gave Hebron with its pasture lands, the city of refuge for the manslayer; and Libnah with its pasture lands
以色列人将希伯仑，就是误杀人者的庇护城，和属城的郊野，给了祭司亚伦的子孙；又给他们立拿和属城的郊野，

And Jattir with its pasture lands and Eshtemoa with its pasture lands
雅提珥和属城的郊野，以实提莫和属城的郊野，

And Holon with its pasture lands and Debir with its pasture lands
何仑和属城的郊野，底璧和属城的郊野，

And Ain with its pasture lands and Juttah with its pasture lands and Beth-shemesh with its pasture lands: nine cities out of those two tribes.
亚因和属城的郊野，淤他和属城的郊野，伯示麦和属城的郊野，共九座城，都是从这二支派中分出来的。

And out of the tribe of Benjamin, Gibeon with its pasture lands, Geba with its pasture lands,
又从便雅悯支派的地业中给了他们基遍和属城的郊野，迦巴和属城的郊野，

Anathoth with its pasture lands, and Almon with its pasture lands: four cities.
亚拿突和属城的郊野，亚勒们和属城的郊野，共四座城。

All the cities of the children of Aaron, the priests, were thirteen cities with their pasture lands.
亚伦子孙作祭司的共有十三座城，还有属城的郊野。

And as for the families of the children of Kohath, the Levites who remained of the children of Kohath, the cities of their lot out of the tribe of Ephraim were given.
利未人中哥辖子孙的家族，就是哥辖其余的子孙，拈阄所得的城有从以法莲支派中分出来的。

And they gave them Shechem with its pasture lands in the hill country of Ephraim, the city of refuge for the manslayer; and Gezer with its pasture lands
以色列人将以法莲山地的示剑，就是误杀人者的庇护城，和属城的郊野，给了他们；又给他们基色和属城的郊野，

And Kibzaim with its pasture lands and Beth-horon with its pasture lands: four cities.
基伯先和属城的郊野，伯和仑和属城的郊野，共四座城；

And out of the tribe of Dan: Eltekeh with its pasture lands, Gibbethon with its pasture lands,
又从但支派的地业中给了他们伊利提基和属城的郊野，基比顿和属城的郊野，

Aijalon with its pasture lands, Gath-rimmon with its pasture lands: four cities.
亚雅仑和属城的郊野，迦特临门和属城的郊野，共四座城；

And out of the half-tribe of Manasseh: Taanach with its pasture lands and Gath-rimmon with its pasture lands: two cities.
又从玛拿西半支派的地业中给了他们他纳和属城的郊野，迦特临门和属城的郊野，共两座城。

All the cities for the families of the children of Kohath who remained were ten, with their pasture lands.
哥辖其余子孙的家族共有十座城，还有属城的郊野。

And to the children of Gershon, one of the families of the Levites, they gave, out of the half-tribe of Manasseh, Golan in Bashan with its pasture lands, the city of refuge for the manslayer; and Be-eshterah with its pasture lands: two cities.
以色列人又从玛拿西半支派的地业中将巴珊的哥兰，就是误杀人者的庇护城，和属城的郊野，给了利未人的一个家族，革顺的子孙；又给他们比施提拉和属城的郊野，共两座城；

And out of the tribe of Issachar: Kishion with its pasture lands, Daberath with its pasture lands,
又从以萨迦支派的地业中给了他们基善和属城的郊野，大比拉和属城的郊野，

Jarmuth with its pasture lands, En-gannim with its pasture lands: four cities.
耶末和属城的郊野，隐干宁和属城的郊野，共四座城；

And out of the tribe of Asher: Mishal with its pasture lands, Abdon with its pasture lands,
又从亚设支派的地业中给了他们米沙勒和属城的郊野，押顿和属城的郊野，

Helkath with its pasture lands, and Rehob with its pasture lands: four cities.
黑甲和属城的郊野，利合和属城的郊野，共四座城；

And out of the tribe of Naphtali: Kedesh in Galilee with its pasture lands, the city of refuge for the manslayer; and Hammoth-dor with its pasture lands and Kartan with its pasture lands: three cities.
又从拿弗他利支派的地业中将加利利的基低斯，就是误杀人者的庇护城，和属城的郊野，给了他们；又给他们哈末多珥和属城的郊野，加珥坦和属城的郊野，共三座城。

All the cities of the Gershonites according to their families were thirteen cities, with their pasture lands.
革顺人按着家族共有十三座城，还有属城的郊野。

And to the families of the children of Merari, the rest of the Levites, out of the tribe of Zebulun, they gave Jokneam with its pasture lands and Kartah with its pasture lands,
其余的利未人，就是米拉利子孙的家族，从西布伦支派的地业中所得的，就是约念和属城的郊野，加珥他和属城的郊野，

Dimnah with its pasture lands, Nahalal with its pasture lands: four cities.
丁拿和属城的郊野，拿哈拉和属城的郊野，共四座城；

And out of the tribe of Reuben: Bezer with its pasture lands and Jahaz with its pasture lands,
又从流便支派的地业中给了他们比悉和属城的郊野，雅杂和属城的郊野，

Kedemoth with its pasture lands and Mephaath with its pasture lands: four cities.
基底莫和属城的郊野，米法押和属城的郊野，共四座城；

And out of the tribe of Gad: Ramoth in Gilead with its pasture lands, the city of refuge for the manslayer; and Mahanaim with its pasture lands,
又从迦得支派的地业中，将基列的拉末，就是误杀人者的庇护城，和属城的郊野，给了他们；又给他们玛哈念和属城的郊野，

Heshbon with its pasture lands, Jazer with its pasture lands: four cities in all.
希实本和属城的郊野，雅谢和属城的郊野，共四座城。

These were all the cities for the children of Merari according to their families, which remained of the families of the Levites; and their lot was twelve cities.
以上是利未人其余的家族，就是米拉利的子孙，按着家族所得的城；他们拈阄所得的共有十二座城。

All the cities of the Levites in the midst of the possession of the children of Israel were forty-eight cities with their pasture lands.
利未人在以色列人的地业中所得的，共有四十八座城，还有属城的郊野。

Each of these cities had its pasture lands around it; so it was with all these cities.
这些城四围各有属城的郊野，城城都是如此。

So Jehovah gave Israel all the land that He had sworn to give to their fathers, and they possessed it and dwelt in it.
这样，耶和华将从前起誓要赐给他们列祖的全地，赐给以色列人，他们就得了为业，住在其中。

And Jehovah gave them rest all around, according to all that He had sworn to their fathers. And no one among all their enemies could stand before them; Jehovah delivered all their enemies into their hand.
耶和华照着向他们列祖所起誓的一切话，使他们四境安宁。他们一切仇敌中，没有一人在他们面前站立得住；耶和华把一切仇敌都交在他们手中。

Not a word failed of every good thing that Jehovah had spoken to the house of Israel; all came to pass.
耶和华对以色列家所说，要赐给他们好处的话，一句也没有落空，都应验了。

Then Joshua called the Reubenites and the Gadites and the half-tribe of Manasseh.
当时，约书亚召了流便人、迦得人和玛拿西半支派的人来，

And he said to them, You have kept all that Moses the servant of Jehovah commanded you, and you have listened to my voice in all that I have commanded you.
对他们说，耶和华仆人摩西所吩咐你们的，你们都遵守了；我所吩咐你们的，你们也都听从了。

You have not forsaken your brothers these many days unto this day, but have kept the charge of the commandment of Jehovah your God.
你们这许多日子，总没有撇离你们的弟兄，直到今日，并守了耶和华你们神所吩咐你们当守的。

And now Jehovah your God has given your brothers rest as He promised them. And now turn and go to your tents, to the land of your possession, which Moses the servant of Jehovah gave you across the Jordan.
如今耶和华你们神照着祂所应许的，使你们弟兄得享安息；现在可以转回你们的帐棚，到耶和华的仆人摩西在约但河东所赐你们为业之地。

However be very careful to perform the commandment and the law which Moses the servant of Jehovah commanded you, to love Jehovah your God and to walk in all His ways and to keep His commandments and to cling to Him and to serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul.
只要切切地谨守遵行耶和华仆人摩西所吩咐你们的诫命和律法，爱耶和华你们的神，行祂一切的道路，守祂的诫命，紧联于祂，全心全魂事奉祂。

And Joshua blessed them and sent them away; and they went to their tents.
于是约书亚为他们祝福，打发他们去，他们就回自己的帐棚去了。

Now to the one half-tribe of Manasseh Moses had given an inheritance in Bashan, and to the other half of it Joshua gave an inheritance with their brothers across the Jordan on the west. Furthermore, when Joshua sent them away to their tents and blessed them,
玛拿西的半个支派，摩西早已在巴珊给了他们地业；至于另半个支派，约书亚使他们在约但河西与他们众弟兄一同得了地业。此外，约书亚打发他们回帐棚的时候为他们祝福，

He spoke to them, saying, Return with many riches to your tents and with very many cattle, with silver and with gold and with bronze and with iron and with very much clothing; divide the spoil of your enemies with your brothers.
对他们说，你们带着许多财物，许多牲畜和金、银、铜、铁，并许多衣服，回你们的帐棚去；要将你们从仇敌夺来的物，与你们众弟兄同分。

So the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh went; and they departed from among the children of Israel out of Shiloh, which was in the land of Canaan, to go to the land of Gilead, to the land of their possession, which they had taken possession of according to the commandment of Jehovah through Moses.
于是流便人、迦得人和玛拿西半支派的人从迦南地的示罗起行，离开以色列人，回他们得为业的基列地，就是照耶和华借摩西所吩咐的得了为业之地。

And when they came into the region of the Jordan that is in the land of Canaan, the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh built an altar there at the Jordan, an altar great in appearance.
流便人、迦得人和玛拿西半支派的人到了迦南地靠近约但河的地区，就在约但河那里筑了一座坛；那坛看起来十分高大。

And the children of Israel heard the report, which said, Now the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh have built an altar out in front of the land of Canaan, in the region of the Jordan, on the side of the children of Israel.
以色列人听说流便人、迦得人、玛拿西半支派的人在靠近约但河的地区，迦南地边境属以色列人的那边，筑了一座坛。

And when the children of Israel heard this, all the assembly of the children of Israel gathered together at Shiloh to go up in battle against them.
以色列人一听见，全会众就聚集在示罗，要上去攻打他们。

And the children of Israel sent Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest to the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh in the land of Gilead,
以色列人打发祭司以利亚撒的儿子非尼哈，往基列地去见流便人、迦得人和玛拿西半支派的人；

And with him ten leaders, one leader each to a fathers' house of all the tribes of Israel; and they were each the head of their fathers' houses among the thousands of Israel.
又打发十个首领与他同去，以色列众支派的宗族各打发一个首领；他们每一个都是以色列军中自己宗族的统领。

And they went to the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh in the land of Gilead and spoke to them, saying,
他们到了基列地，见流便人、迦得人和玛拿西半支派的人，对他们说，

Thus says all the assembly of Jehovah, What is this trespass that you have committed against the God of Israel in turning this day from following after Jehovah by building yourselves an altar to rebel against Jehovah this day?
耶和华的全会众这样说，你们今日转去不跟从耶和华，为自己筑一座坛，悖逆了耶和华，你们这样干犯以色列的神，所犯的是什么罪呢？

Was the iniquity of Peor too little for us, from which we have not cleansed ourselves unto this day, though there was a plague upon the assembly of Jehovah,
从前拜毗珥的罪孽，对我们还算小么？虽然瘟疫临到耶和华的会众，到今日我们还没有洗净这罪孽；

That you have turned this day from following after Jehovah? And now, if you rebel against Jehovah this day, tomorrow He will be angry with the whole assembly of Israel.
你们今日竟转去不跟从耶和华么？你们今日既悖逆耶和华，明日祂必向以色列全会众发怒。

But if the land of your possession is unclean, cross over into the land of the possession of Jehovah, where Jehovah's tabernacle dwells, and take a possession in the midst of us. But do not rebel against Jehovah, nor rebel against us, by building yourselves an altar besides the altar of Jehovah our God.
你们所得为业之地，若嫌不洁净，就可以过到耶和华产业之地，就是耶和华的帐幕所住之地，在我们中间得地业。只是不可悖逆耶和华，也不可背叛我们，在耶和华我们神的坛以外为自己筑坛。

Did not Achan the son of Zerah act unfaithfully in that which was devoted to destruction? But there was wrath upon the whole assembly of Israel, and that one man did not perish alone for his iniquity.
从前谢拉的曾孙亚干，岂不是在那当灭的物上犯了不忠实的罪么？那时就有忿怒临到以色列全会众；因他罪孽而死的，还不只他一人。

Then the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh answered and said to the heads of the thousands of Israel,
于是流便人、迦得人和玛拿西半支派的人回答以色列军中的统领说，

The Mighty One, God Jehovah; the Mighty One, God Jehovah; He knows, and may Israel itself know, whether it was in rebellion, or whether it was in trespass against Jehovah — may You not save us today —
大能者神耶和华，大能者神耶和华，祂是知道的，愿以色列人也知道。我们若是悖逆，或是有了干犯耶和华的罪──愿你今日不拯救我们──

That we built an altar for ourselves to turn away from following after Jehovah; or if we did so to offer burnt offerings and meal offerings upon it or to make sacrifices of peace offerings upon it, may Jehovah Himself require it.
为自己筑坛，转去不跟从耶和华，或是将燔祭、素祭、平安祭献在坛上，愿耶和华亲自讨我们的罪。

But truly we have done this for a reason and out of a concern that in the future your children might speak to our children, saying, What have you to do with Jehovah the God of Israel?
我们行这事是有原因的，因为顾虑日后你们的子孙可能对我们的子孙说，你们与耶和华以色列的神有何相干呢？

For Jehovah has made the Jordan a border between us and you, O children of Reuben and children of Gad. You have no portion in Jehovah. Thus your children would cause our children to cease fearing Jehovah.
流便人、迦得人哪，耶和华把约但河定为我们和你们的交界，你们与耶和华无分了。这样，你们的子孙就使我们的子孙不再敬畏耶和华了。

Therefore we said, Let us now take action to build the altar, though not for burnt offering or for sacrifice;
因此我们说，不如动手筑一座坛，不是为献燔祭，也不是为献别的祭，

But it will be a witness between us and between you, and between our generations after us, that we may do the service of Jehovah before Him with our burnt offerings and our sacrifices and our peace offerings, and that your children may not say in the future to our children, You have no portion in Jehovah.
乃是为在你们和我们中间，并在我们的后代中间作证据，好叫我们也可以在耶和华面前，用燔祭、别的祭和平安祭事奉祂，免得你们的子孙日后对我们的子孙说，你们无分于耶和华了。

And we said, When they say this to us and to our generations in the future, we will say, Look at the copy of the altar of Jehovah that our fathers made, though not for burnt offering or for sacrifice; but it is a witness between us and you.
所以我们说，日后有人对我们，或对我们的后代这样说，我们就可以说，你们看我们列祖所筑的坛是耶和华坛的样式；这并不是为献燔祭，也不是为献别的祭，乃是为作我们和你们中间的证据。

Far be it from us that we would rebel against Jehovah and turn away today from following after Jehovah by building an altar for burnt offering, for meal offering, or for sacrifice, besides the altar of Jehovah our God, which is before His tabernacle!
我们断没有意思悖逆耶和华，今日转去不跟从祂，在耶和华我们神帐幕前的坛以外，另筑一座坛，为献燔祭、素祭或别的祭。

And when Phinehas the priest and the leaders of the assembly and the heads of the thousands of Israel who were with him heard the words that the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the children of Manasseh spoke, it seemed good in their sight.
祭司非尼哈与会众的首领，就是与他同来以色列军中的统领，听见流便人、迦得人、玛拿西人所说的话，就都以为美。

And Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest said to the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the children of Manasseh, Today we know that Jehovah is in the midst of us, because you have not committed this trespass against Jehovah. Now you have delivered the children of Israel out of the hand of Jehovah.
祭司以利亚撒的儿子非尼哈对流便人、迦得人和玛拿西人说，今日我们知道耶和华在我们中间，因为你们没有犯这罪干犯祂。现在你们救以色列人脱离耶和华的手了。

So Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest and the leaders returned from the children of Reuben and the children of Gad, from the land of Gilead, to the land of Canaan, to the children of Israel; and they brought back word to them.
祭司以利亚撒的儿子非尼哈与众首领离开了流便人和迦得人，从基列地回迦南地，到了以色列人那里，便将这事回报他们。

And the matter seemed good in the sight of the children of Israel; and the children of Israel blessed God and never spoke again of going up in battle against them to destroy the land in which the children of Reuben and the children of Gad dwelt.
以色列人以这事为美，就颂赞神，不再说要上去攻打流便人和迦得人，毁坏他们所住的地了。

And the children of Reuben and the children of Gad named the altar; for, they said, it is a witness between us that Jehovah is God.
流便人、迦得人给坛起了名；因为他们说，这坛在我们中间见证耶和华是神。
