Therefore you are without excuse, O every man who judges, for in what you judge another you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things.
人哪，每一个审判人的！你是无法推诿的，你在什么事上审判人，就在什么事上定自己的罪；因你这审判人的，也行同样的事。

But we know that the judgment of God is according to truth upon those who practice such things.
我们知道行这样事的人，神必按真理审判他。

And do you consider this, O man, who judge those who practice such things and do the same yourself, that you will escape the judgment of God?
人哪，你审判行这样事的人，自己却照样行，你以为能逃脱神的审判么？

Or do you despise the riches of His kindness and forbearance and long-suffering, not knowing that God's kindness is leading you to repentance?
还是你藐视祂丰富的恩慈、宽容与恒忍，不晓得神的恩慈是领你悔改？

But, according to your hardness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God,
你竟任着你刚硬不悔改的心，为自己在神动怒并显示祂公义审判的日子，积蓄忿怒。

Who will render to each according to his works:
祂必照各人的行为报应各人：

To those who by endurance in good work seek glory and honor and incorruptibility, life eternal;
凡恒心行善，寻求荣耀、尊贵和不朽坏的，就以永远的生命报应他们；

But to those who are selfishly contentious and disobedient to the truth and obey unrighteousness, wrath and fury.
惟有私图好争，不信从真理，反信从不义的，就以忿怒、恼恨报应他们；

Tribulation and anguish upon every soul of man who commits evil, both of Jew first and of Greek;
将患难、困苦加给一切作恶的人，先是犹太人，后是希利尼人；

But glory and honor and peace to everyone who works good, both to Jew first and to Greek.
却将荣耀、尊贵与平安加给一切行善的人，先是犹太人，后是希利尼人。

For there is no respect of persons with God.
因为神并不偏待人。

For as many as have sinned without the law shall also perish without the law; and as many as have sinned under the law shall be judged by the law
凡在律法以外犯了罪的，也必在律法以外灭亡；凡在律法以下犯了罪的，必按律法受审判，

(For it is not the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
（原来在神面前，不是听律法的为义，乃是行律法的称义。

For when Gentiles, who have no law, do by nature the things of the law, these, though they have no law, are a law to themselves,
没有律法的外邦人，若顺着本性行律法上的事，他们虽然没有律法，自己就是自己的律法：

Who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience bearing witness with it and their reasonings, one with the other, accusing or even excusing them.)
他们显出那写在他们心里律法的功用，他们的良心同作见证，并且他们的思想互相控告或者也辩护。）

In the day when God judges the secrets of men according to my gospel through Jesus Christ.
就是在神借耶稣基督，照着我的福音，审判人隐秘事的日子。

Then Elihu continued and said,
以利户继续说，

Do you consider this to be just? / Do you say, My righteousness is more than God's,
你说，我的公义胜于神的公义；你以为这样说有理，

So that you say, What advantage is there to me, / What do I profit, more than if I had sinned?
所以才说，这与我有什么益处？我不犯罪比犯罪有什么好处？

I will respond to you with words, / And to your companions with you.
我要用言语回答你，和在你这里的朋友。

Look unto heaven and see; / And behold the skies: They are higher than you.
你当向天观看，瞻望那高于你的穹苍。

If you sin, what do you accomplish against Him? / And if your transgressions are multiplied, what do you do to Him?
你若犯罪，对神能造成什么妨碍？你的过犯增多，对神能作出什么损害？

If you are righteous, what can you give to Him, / Or what does He receive from your hand?
你若是公义，能给祂什么？或者祂能从你手里接受什么？

Your wickedness affects a man like you, / And your righteousness, a son of man.
你的邪恶只能害像你这样的人，你的公义只能叫世人得益处。

Because of the multitude of oppressions they cry out; / They cry for help because of the arm of the mighty.
人因多受欺压就哀求，因强权者的辖制便呼救；

But no one says, Where is God my Maker, / Who gives songs in the night,
却无人说，造我的神在哪里？祂使人夜间歌唱，

Who teaches us more than the beasts of the earth / And makes us wiser than the birds of heaven?
教训我们胜于地上的走兽，使我们有智慧胜于空中的飞鸟。

There they cry, but He does not answer, / Because of the pride of evil men.
他们在那里，因恶人的骄傲呼求，祂却不答应。

Surely God does not hear an empty cry, / And the Almighty does not regard it.
虚妄的呼求，神必不垂听，全能者也必不理会。

How much less when you say that you do not behold Him, / That the cause is before Him and you are waiting on Him!
何况你说，你不得见祂，你的案件在祂面前，你正等候祂！

But now, because He has not visited in His anger / Nor regarded such great arrogance,
但如今因祂未曾在怒中查究，也不甚理会狂傲，

Job opens his mouth in vanity; / He multiplies words without knowledge.
所以约伯开口说虚妄的话，多发无知识的言语。

And Elihu added this and said,
以利户又接着说，

Bear with me a little, and I will show you; / For there is more to say for God.
你再容我片时，我就指示你；因我还有话为神说。

I will bring my knowledge from afar / And will ascribe righteousness to my Maker.
我要将所知道的从远处引来，将公义归给造我的主。

For truly my words are not false; / One perfect in knowledge is with you.
我的言语真不虚谎；有一位知识全备的与你同在。

Indeed, God is mighty and does not despise; / He is mighty in strength of understanding.
看哪，神有大能，并不藐视人；祂大有智慧的能力。

He does not preserve the wicked man alive, / But gives justice to the afflicted.
祂不容恶人存活，却为困苦人伸冤。

He does not withdraw His eyes from the righteous; / And with kings on the throne, / He sets them forever, and they are exalted.
祂的眼目时常看顾义人，祂使他们永远和君王同坐宝座，他们就得着高举。

And if they are bound in fetters, / If they are caught in the cords of affliction,
他们若被锁链捆住，被苦难的绳索缠住，

He shows them their work / And their transgressions, that they have acted arrogantly.
祂就把他们的作为和过犯指示他们，叫他们知道自己行动骄傲。

He also opens their ear to instruction / And commands that they return from iniquity.
祂也开通他们的耳朵得受教训，吩咐他们离开罪孽转回。

If they hear and serve Him, / They will spend their days in prosperity / And their years in pleasantness.
他们若听从事奉祂，就必度日亨通，历年福乐。

But if they do not hear, they will pass away by the sword / And die without knowledge.
若不听从，就要被刀杀灭，无知无识而死。

But those who are profane in heart lay up anger; / They do not cry for help when He binds them.
但那心中不虔敬的人，积蓄怒气；神捆绑他们时，他们竟不呼救。

They die in youth, / And their life ends among the most defiled.
他们必在青年时死亡，与极污秽的人一样丧命。

He rescues the afflicted by their affliction / And opens their ear through oppression.
神借着困苦人所受的困苦救拔他们，借着他们所受的欺压开通他们的耳朵。

Indeed He allures you from the jaws of distress / Into a spacious place, where there is no constraint; / And what is upon your table is full of fatness.
神也必引你出离患难的虎口，进入宽阔不狭窄之地；摆在你席上的，必满有肥甘。

But you are filled with the judgment of the wicked; / Judgment and litigation have taken hold of you.
但你满有恶人所当受的审判；判断和刑罚抓住了你。

Beware lest wrath allures you into scoffing, / And do not let the greatness of the ransom turn you aside.
不可容忿怒触动你侮慢神，也不可因赎价大就偏行。

Will your cry keep you from being in distress, / Or all the forces of your strength?
你的呼救，或是你一切的势力，能叫你不受患难么？

Do not long for the night, / When people are taken from their place.
不要切慕黑夜，就是众民在本处被除灭的时候。

Take heed; do not turn toward iniquity; / For you have chosen this rather than affliction.
你要谨慎，不可转向罪孽；因你选择罪孽，过于选择苦难。

Indeed, God is exalted in His power: / Who is a teacher like Him?
看哪，神因自己的能力被高举：教训人的，有谁像祂？

Who has appointed His way for Him? / And who says, You have done wrong?
谁派定祂的道路？谁说，你所行的不义？

Remember to magnify His work, / Of which men sing.
你要记得称赞祂所行的为大，就是人所歌颂的。

All mankind has gazed on it; / Man beholds it from afar.
祂所行的，万人都看见；世人都从远处观看。

Indeed, God is great, and we do not know Him; / The number of His years we also cannot search out.
看哪，神为大，我们不能知晓；祂的年数不能测度。

For He draws up the drops of water / Which distill into rain from His mist,
祂吸取水点，这水点从祂的云雾中滴下成雨；

Which the skies pour down / And drop upon man abundantly.
云霓将雨落下，沛然降与世人。

Can they indeed understand the spreading of the clouds, / The thunderings of His pavilion?
人真能明白云彩如何铺张，神的帷幕如何发出雷声么？

Indeed, He scatters His lightning around Him / And covers the roots of the sea.
祂将闪电布散在自己四围，又遮覆海底。

For by these He judges the peoples; / He gives food in abundance.
祂用这些审判众民，且赐丰富的粮食。

He fills His hands with lightning / And commands it to strike the mark.
祂以闪电遮手，命闪电击中目标。

Its noise tells of Him; / The cattle as well tell concerning Him who is coming.
所发的雷声将祂指明；牲畜也指明祂要来了。

At this, too, my heart trembles / And leaps from its place.
我的心也因此战兢，跳离原处。

Hear attentively the noise of His voice / And the sound that goes forth from His mouth.
你们要留心听神轰轰的声音，听祂口中所发的响声。

He sends it forth under the whole heaven, / And His lightning unto the ends of the earth.
祂发出响声震遍天下，发出闪电直到地极。

After it a voice roars; / He thunders with the voice of His majesty / And does not withhold the lightning / When His voice is heard.
随后有雷声轰轰，祂以自己威严之声打雷，人听见雷声时，闪电仍然不断。

God thunders wondrously with His voice; / He does great things that we cannot comprehend.
神奇妙的发出雷声；祂行大事，我们不能知晓。

For He says to the snow, Fall on the earth, / And to the rain shower and His mighty showers of rain.
祂对雪说，要降在地上；对大雨和暴雨，也是这样说。

He seals the hand of every man, / That all men may know His doing.
祂封住各人的手，叫万人都晓得祂的作为。

Then the beast enters its lair / And remains in its dens.
野兽进入穴中，留在洞内。

Out of its chamber comes the whirlwind, / And from scattering winds, cold.
暴风出于南宫，寒冷出于北风。

From the breath of God ice is yielded, / And the expanse of waters is frozen.
神嘘气成冰，宽阔之水也都凝结。

He also loads the thick clouds with moisture; / He scatters His lightning clouds;
祂又使密云盛满水气；布散闪电之云；

And they turn about by His guidance, / That they may accomplish / All that He has commanded them / Upon the surface of the inhabited earth;
这云借着祂的指引，游行旋转，得以在居人之地上，遂行祂一切所吩咐的；

Whether for scourge or for His land / Or for lovingkindness' sake, He causes it to happen.
祂使这云临到，或为责罚，或为滋润地，或为施行慈爱。

Give ear to this, Job; / Stand still and consider the wondrous acts of God.
约伯啊，你要侧耳听这话；要站立思想神奇妙的作为。

Do you know how God lays His charge upon them / And causes His lightning clouds to shine?
神如何向这些下令，如何使云中的闪电照耀，你知道么？

Do you know about the balancing of the thick clouds, / The wondrous acts of Him who is perfect in knowledge?
密云如何浮于空中，那知识全备者奇妙的作为，你知道么？

You whose garments heat up / When, because of the south wind, the earth is still,
地因南风而寂静时，你的衣服就热起来，

Can you spread out the skies with Him, / The skies which are as hard as a molten mirror?
你岂能与神同铺穹苍么？这穹苍坚硬如铸成的镜子。

Teach us what to say to Him; / We cannot arrange our words because of the darkness.
我们因昏暗不能陈明我们的话，请你指教我们该对祂说什么。

Should it be said to Him, I will speak? / Or should a man say that he will be swallowed up?
人岂可对祂说，我要说话？岂有人自愿被吞灭么？

But now men do not look at the light, / Which is brilliant in the skies / When the wind has passed and cleared them.
现在有云遮蔽，人不得见光，但这光在云上是明亮的；风一吹过，就使天清明。

Out of the north comes golden splendor; / Upon God is the awesomeness of majesty.
金光出于北方；在神那里有可怕的威严。

The Almighty — we cannot find Him out; / He is excellent in power, / And justice and the abundance of righteousness He will not damage.
全能者是我们无法寻得的；祂大有能力，必不破坏公平和大义。

Therefore men fear Him; / He does not look upon any who are wise of heart.
所以人敬畏祂；凡自以为心中有智慧的人，祂都不看顾。
