In the hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised before the times of the ages,
根据永远生命的盼望（就是那不能说谎的神，在历世之前所应许，

But in its own times He manifested it as His word in the proclamation with which I was entrusted according to the command of our Savior God;
到了适当的时期，借着那按我们救主神的命令所托付我传扬的福音，将祂的话显明出来的，）作神的奴仆并耶稣基督使徒的保罗，

To Titus, genuine child according to the common faith: Grace and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Savior.
写信给照着共同的信仰，作我真孩子的提多：愿恩典与平安，从父神和我们的救主基督耶稣归与你。

For this cause I left you in Crete, that you might set in order the things which I have begun that remain and appoint elders in every city, as I directed you:
我从前留你在革哩底，是要你将我所未办完的事办理妥当，又照我所吩咐你的，在各城设立长老。

If anyone is unreprovable, the husband of one wife, having believing children not accused of dissoluteness or unruly.
若有人无可指责，只作一个妻子的丈夫，儿女是信主的，没有人告他们是放荡或不服约束的，就可以设立。

For the overseer must be unreprovable as a steward of God, not self-willed, not quick tempered, not an excessive drinker, not a striker, not greedy for base gain;
因为监督是神的管家，必须无可指责，不任性，不暴躁，不醉酒滋事，不打人，不贪卑鄙的利益；

But hospitable, a lover of good, of a sober mind, righteous, holy, self-controlled;
却乐意待客，喜爱良善，清明自守，义、圣、节制；

Holding to the faithful word, which is according to the teaching of the apostles, that he may be able both to exhort by the healthy teaching and to convict those who oppose.
坚守那按照使徒教训可信靠的话，好能用健康的教训劝勉人，又能使那些反对的人知罪自责。

For there are many unruly men, vain talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision,
因为有许多人不服约束，说虚空的话，欺哄人，那些奉割礼的人更是这样，

Whose mouths must be stopped, who overthrow whole households, teaching things for the sake of base gain, which they ought not to do.
这些人的口必须堵住；他们为了卑鄙的利益，将不当教导的事教导人，就倾覆了人的全家。

One from among themselves, a prophet of their own, said, Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, idle gluttons.
有革哩底人中间的一位，就是他们自己的申言者，曾说，革哩底人常是说谎的，乃是恶兽，又馋又懒。

This testimony is true; for which cause reprove them severely that they may be healthy in the faith,
这个见证是真的；为这缘故，你要严厉地责备他们，使他们在信仰上健康，

Not paying attention to Jewish myths and the commandments of men who turn away from the truth.
不注意犹太人虚构无稽之事，和转离真理之人的诫命。

All things are pure to the pure; yet to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure, but both their mind and their conscience are defiled.
对洁净的人，凡物都洁净；但对污秽不信的人，什么都不洁净，反而连他们的心思和良心，也都污秽了。

They profess to know God, but by their works they deny Him, being abominable and disobedient and, as to every good work, disapproved.
他们自称认识神，却在行为上否认祂，本是可憎恶的、悖逆的，在各样善事上是不蒙称许的。

The word which came to Jeremiah from Jehovah, saying,
从耶和华有话临到耶利米，说，

Thus speaks Jehovah the God of Israel, saying, Write in a book all the words which I have spoken to you.
耶和华以色列的神如此说，你要将我对你说过的一切话都写在书上。

Yes indeed, days are coming, declares Jehovah, when I will turn the captivity of My people Israel and Judah, says Jehovah, and I will bring them back to the land which I gave to their fathers, and they will possess it.
耶和华说，日子将到，我要使我的百姓以色列和犹大被掳的人归回，这是耶和华说的；我也要使他们回到我所赐给他们列祖之地，他们就得这地为业。

And these are the words which Jehovah spoke concerning Israel and concerning Judah:
以下是耶和华论到以色列和犹大所说的话：

For thus says Jehovah, / We have heard a voice of trembling, / Of fear and not of peace.
耶和华如此说，我们听见战抖的声音，是惧怕而不是平安的声音。

Ask now and see / Whether a man can give birth. / Why do I see every man / With his hands on his loins like a woman about to give birth / And every face turned pale?
你们且访问看看，男人能生产么？我怎么看见每个男人都用手掐腰，像临产的妇人，脸面都变苍白了呢？

Alas! For that day is great, / And there is none like it; / And it is a time of distress for Jacob, / But he will be saved out of it.
哀哉，那日为大，无可比拟；这是雅各遭难的时候，但他必被救出来。

And on that day, declares Jehovah of hosts, I will break his yoke from your neck and tear off your bonds, and strangers will no longer make him serve them.
万军之耶和华说，到那日，我必从他颈项上折断他的轭，扯开他的捆索，外人不得再使他作奴仆。

But they will serve Jehovah their God and David their King, whom I will raise up for them.
他们却要服事耶和华他们的神，和我为他们所要兴起的王大卫。

Therefore do not fear, O Jacob My servant, declares Jehovah, / And do not be dismayed, O Israel; / For indeed, I will save you from afar, / And your seed from the land of their captivity; / And Jacob will return and be undisturbed and at ease, / And no one will frighten him.
故此，耶和华说，我的仆人雅各啊，不要惧怕；以色列啊，不要惊惶；因为我要从远方拯救你，从你后裔被掳到之地拯救他们，雅各必回来得享平静安宁，无人使他害怕。

For I am with you, declares Jehovah, to save you; / For I will make a full end of all the nations to which I have scattered you; / But I will not make a full end of you, / But will correct you in measure / And will by no means leave you unpunished.
因我与你同在，要拯救你；也要将我所赶散你到的那些国，灭绝净尽，却不将你灭绝净尽，倒要适度管教你，绝不能不罚你；这是耶和华说的。

For thus says Jehovah, / Your hurt is incurable; / Your wound is grievous.
因耶和华如此说，你的损伤无法医治，你的创伤极其严重。

There is none to judge your judgment, to bind your wound; / There are no healing medicines for you.
无人为你伸冤，缠裹你的创伤；你没有医治的良药。

All your lovers have forgotten you; / They do not search for you; / For I have struck you with the striking of an enemy, / With the chastisement of one who is cruel, / Because of the greatness of your iniquity; / Your sins are numerous.
你所爱的人都忘记你，不来探问你；我因你的罪孽甚大，你的罪众多，曾用仇敌的击打击打你，用残忍者的惩治惩治你。

Why do you cry out over your hurt? / Your pain is incurable. / Because of the greatness of your iniquity, / Because your sins are numerous, / I have done these things to you.
你为何因损伤哀号呢？你的痛苦无法医治。我因你的罪孽甚大，你的罪众多，曾将这些事施行在你身上。

Therefore all those who consume you will be consumed, / And all those who distress you, every one of them, will go into captivity; / And those who plunder you will become plunder, / And all those who prey on you I will make a prey.
故此，凡吞吃你的必被吞吃，迫害你的个个都被掳去；掳掠你的必成为掳物，抢夺你的必成为掠物。

For I will bring you recovery / And will heal you of your wounds, declares Jehovah; / Because they have called you an outcast, saying, / She is Zion, whom no one searches after.
耶和华说，我必使你痊愈，医好你的创伤；因为他们称你为被赶散的，说，这是锡安，是无人探问的。

Thus says Jehovah, / I will turn the captivity of the tents of Jacob / And have compassion on his dwelling places; / And the city will be rebuilt on its mound, / And the palace will be inhabited after its own manner.
耶和华如此说，我必使雅各被掳去的帐棚归回，也必怜恤他的住处；城必重建在原旧的山冈上，宫殿也照原样有人居住。

And out from them will come thanksgiving / And the voice of those who make merry. / And I will multiply them, so that they will not be few; / And I will cause them to be honored, so that they will not be small.
必有感谢和欢笑的声音，从其中发出；我要使他们增多，不至减少；使他们尊荣，不至卑微。

And their children will be as they were of old, / And their assembly will be established before Me; / And I will punish all those who oppress them,
他们的儿女要如往日，他们的会众要坚立在我面前；凡欺压他们的，我必惩罚他。

And their leader will be one of them. / And their ruler will come out from their midst, / And I will bring him near, and he will approach Me. / For who else would be bold enough / To approach Me? declares Jehovah.
他们的首领，必是属乎他们的；掌权的必从他们中间而出。我要使他就近我，他也要亲近我；不然，谁有胆量亲近我呢？这是耶和华说的。

And you will be My people, / And I will be your God.
你们要作我的子民，我要作你们的神。

Look, the storm wind of Jehovah! / Wrath has gone forth, / A whirling tempest; / It will whirl down on the head of the wicked.
看哪，耶和华的暴风！祂的忿怒已经发出，是旋转的暴风，必转到恶人的头上。

The burning anger of Jehovah will not turn back, / Until He has executed and until He has accomplished / The purposes of His heart; / In the last days / You will understand it.
耶和华的烈怒必不转回，直到祂心中所拟定的施行了，成就了；在末后的日子，你们必明白。

At that time, declares Jehovah, I will be the God of all the families of Israel, and they will be My people.
耶和华说，那时我必作以色列各家族的神，他们必作我的子民。

Thus says Jehovah, The people who survived the sword / Found favor in the wilderness — / Even Israel, when I went to give him rest.
耶和华如此说，脱离刀剑的民，就是以色列人，当我去使他享安息的时候，他在旷野蒙了恩眷。

Jehovah appeared to me from afar, saying, / Indeed I have loved you with an eternal love; / Therefore I have drawn you with lovingkindness.
耶和华从远方向我显现，说，我以永远的爱爱了你，因此我以慈爱吸引了你。

I will build you again, and you will be built, / O virgin of Israel. / Again you will adorn yourself with your tambourines / And will go forth in the dance of those who make merry.
以色列的处女啊，我要再建造你，你就被建造；你必再以自己的鼓为妆饰，与欢笑的人一同跳舞而出。

Again you will plant vineyards / On the mountains of Samaria; / The planters will plant / And will partake of the fruit.
你必再在撒玛利亚的山上，栽种葡萄园；栽种的人要栽种并享用所结的果子。

For there will be a day when watchmen call out / In the hill country of Ephraim, / Saying, Arise and let us go up to Zion, / To Jehovah our God.
日子必到，在以法莲山地守望的人，必呼叫说，起来吧，我们可以上锡安，到耶和华我们的神那里去。

For thus says Jehovah, / Give a ringing shout with joy for Jacob, / And cry out at the head of the nations; / Announce, praise, and say, / O Jehovah, save Your people, / The remnant of Israel.
因为耶和华如此说，你们当为雅各喜乐欢呼，向万国中为首的呼喊；当传扬颂赞，说，耶和华啊，求你拯救你的百姓，就是以色列所余剩的人。

I will bring them / From the land of the north, / And I will gather them from the uttermost parts of the earth, / The blind and the lame among them, / The pregnant woman and she who is travailing together, / A great assembly; they will return here.
我必将他们从北方之地领来，从地极招聚，在他们中间有瞎子、瘸子、孕妇和产妇，他们必成为大群回到这里来。

They will come with weeping, / And with supplications I will lead them. / I will cause them to walk by the waterbrooks / In a straight way, in which they will not stumble; / For I am a Father to Israel, / And Ephraim is My firstborn.
他们要哭泣而来，我要照他们的恳求引导他们，使他们在溪水旁走正直的路，在其上不至绊跌；因为我是以色列的父，以法莲是我的长子。

Hear the word of Jehovah, O nations, / And declare in the coastlands from afar, / And say, He who scattered Israel will gather him / And keep him, as a shepherd his flock.
列国啊，要听耶和华的话，传扬在远处的众海岛，说，赶散以色列的必招聚他，又看守他，好像牧人看守羊群。

For Jehovah has ransomed Jacob / And redeemed him from the hand of one stronger than he.
因为耶和华救赎了雅各，拯救他脱离比他更强之人的手。

And they will come and sing in the height of Zion, / And they will flow forth to the goodness of Jehovah — / To the grain and to the new wine and to the fresh oil / And to the young of the flock and of the herd; / And their soul will be like a watered garden, / And they will not languish anymore.
他们要来到锡安的高处歌唱，又涌向耶和华的美福，就是五谷、新酒、新油、羊羔和牛犊；他们的心必像浇灌的园子，他们也不再有一点愁烦。

Then the virgin will rejoice in the dance, / And the young men and the old men together, / And I will turn their mourning to gladness / And comfort them and cause them to rejoice after their sorrow.
那时处女必喜乐跳舞，年少的、年老的也必一同喜乐；我要使他们的悲哀转为欢喜，并要安慰他们，使他们的忧愁转为快乐。

And I will fill the soul of the priests with abundance, / And My people will be satisfied with My goodness, / Declares Jehovah.
我必以肥油使祭司的心满足，我的百姓也要因我的美福饱足；这是耶和华说的。

Thus says Jehovah, / A voice is heard in Ramah, / A wailing, a very bitter weeping. / Rachel is weeping for her children; / She refuses to be comforted for her children, / Because they are no more.
耶和华如此说，在拉玛听见号啕痛哭的声音，是拉结哭她的儿女，不肯受安慰，因为他们都不在了。

Thus says Jehovah, / Hold back your voice from weeping / And your eyes from tears; / For there is a reward for your work, declares Jehovah; / And they will return from the land of the enemy.
耶和华如此说，你禁止声音不要哀哭，止住眼目不要流泪，因你所作的工，必有赏赐；他们必从敌人之地归回；这是耶和华说的。

And there is hope for your latter end, declares Jehovah, / That your children will return to their own border.
耶和华说，你末后必有指望，你的儿女必回到自己的境界。

Indeed I have heard Ephraim lamenting, / You have chastised me, and I was chastised, / Like an untrained calf; / Bring me back that I may be restored, / For You are Jehovah my God.
我听见以法莲悲叹，说，你惩治我，我便受惩治，像未驯的牛犊一样；求你使我回转，我便回转，因为你是耶和华我的神。

For after I turned back, I repented; / And after I was instructed, / I struck myself on the thigh. / I was ashamed and even confounded, / For I bear the reproach of my youth.
我回转以后就悔改，受教以后就拍腿叹息。我因担当幼年的耻辱，就抱愧蒙羞。

Is Ephraim a precious son to Me? / Or a child of My good pleasure? / For as often as I speak against him, / I surely remember him more; / Therefore My bowels moan for him; / I will surely have mercy on him, declares Jehovah.
耶和华说，以法莲是我宝贵的儿子么？是可喜悦的孩子么？我每逢责备他，仍深顾念他；所以我的心肠为他哀痛，我必要怜恤他。

Set up road markers for yourself; / Make signposts for yourself; / Pay attention to the highway, / The way you went; / Return, O virgin of Israel; / Return to these cities of yours.
以色列的处女啊，你当为自己设立指路碑，立起路标柱，你要留心向大路，就是你走过的原路；你当回转，回转到你这些城邑。

How long will you wander here and there, / O apostate daughter? / For Jehovah has created a new thing in the earth: / A female will encompass a mighty man.
背道的女子啊，你四处流离要到几时呢？耶和华在地上创作了一件新事，就是女子围护男子。

Thus says Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, Once more they will say this word in the land of Judah and in its cities, when I turn again their captivity, Jehovah bless you, O habitation of righteousness, / O mountain of holiness.
万军之耶和华以色列的神如此说，我使被掳之人归回的时候，他们在犹大地和其中的城邑，必再这样说，公义的居所啊，圣别的山岭啊，愿耶和华赐福与你。

And Judah and all its cities will dwell together in it, the farmers and they who wander with the flocks.
犹大和属犹大城邑的人、农夫和游牧的人，要一同住在其中。

For I have satisfied the weary soul and filled every languishing soul.
疲乏的人，我使他饱足；衰颓的人，我使他满足。

At this I awoke and looked, and my sleep was pleasant to me.
这时我醒了，我一看，觉得睡得香甜。

Indeed, days are coming, declares Jehovah, when I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man and with the seed of beast.
耶和华说，日子将到，我要把人的种和牲畜的种，播种在以色列家和犹大家。

And as I have watched over them to pluck up and to break down and to overthrow and to destroy and to bring evil, so I will watch over them to build and to plant, declares Jehovah.
我先前怎样留意将他们拔出、拆毁、毁坏、倾覆、苦害，也必照样留意将他们建立、栽植；这是耶和华说的。

In those days they will no longer say, The fathers eat sour grapes, / And the children's teeth are set on edge.
当那些日子，人不再说，父亲吃了酸葡萄，儿子的牙酸坏了；

For everyone will die for his own iniquity; every man who eats sour grapes, his own teeth will be set on edge.
但各人必因自己的罪孽死亡，凡吃酸葡萄的，自己的牙必酸坏。

Indeed, days are coming, declares Jehovah, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah,
耶和华说，日子将到，我要与以色列家和犹大家，另立新约，

Not like the covenant which I made with their fathers in the day I took them by their hand to bring them out from the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, although I was their Husband, declares Jehovah.
不像我拉着他们祖宗的手，领他们出埃及地的时候，与他们所立的约；我虽是他们的丈夫，他们却背了我的约；这是耶和华说的。

But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares Jehovah: I will put My law in their inward parts and write it upon their hearts; and I will be their God, and they will be My people.
耶和华说，那些日子以后，我与以色列家所立的约，乃是这样：我要将我的律法放在他们里面，写在他们心上；我要作他们的神，他们要作我的子民。

And they will no longer teach, each man his neighbor and each man his brother, saying, Know Jehovah; for all of them will know Me, from the little one among them even to the great one among them, declares Jehovah, for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.
他们各人不再教导自己的邻舍和自己的弟兄，说，你该认识耶和华；因为他们从最小的到至大的，都必认识我，因为我要赦免他们的罪孽，不再记念他们的罪；这是耶和华说的。

Thus says Jehovah, / Who gives the sun for light by day / And the order of the moon and the stars for light by night, / Who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar — / Jehovah of hosts is His name —
那使太阳在白日发光，使月亮星宿按定例在黑夜发亮，又搅动大海，使海中波浪匉訇的，万军之耶和华是祂的名，祂如此说，

If this order departs / From before Me, declares Jehovah, / Then the seed of Israel will also cease / From being a nation before Me forever.
这些定例若能在我面前废掉，以色列的后裔也就在我面前断绝，永远不再成国；这是耶和华说的。

Thus says Jehovah, / If the heavens above can be measured, / And the foundations of the earth below can be examined carefully, / Then I will also cast off all the seed of Israel / For all they have done, declares Jehovah.
耶和华如此说，人若能测量在上的诸天，若能探察在下的地基，我也就因以色列后裔一切所行的弃绝他们；这是耶和华说的。

Indeed, days are coming, declares Jehovah, when the city will be built unto Jehovah from the Tower of Hananel to the Corner Gate.
耶和华说，日子将到，这城必建造归于耶和华，从哈楠业楼，直到角门。

And the measuring line will go out even further beyond it to the hill of Gareb and will turn toward Goah.
准绳要往外量出，直到迦立山，又转到歌亚。

And the whole valley of corpses and of fatty ashes and all the fields as far as the brook of Kidron unto the corner of the Horse Gate toward the east will be holy to Jehovah; it will not be uprooted or torn down anymore forever.
抛尸和倒灰的全山谷，并一切田地，直到汲沦溪，又直到东方马门的拐角，都要归耶和华为圣，不再拔出，不再倾覆，直到永远。
