The Kernel in Exodus— a Revelation of God and a Vision of God's Building

Exodus is a book of salvation, provision, revelation, and building—12:12-13, 51; 14:13, 22; 16:14-15; 15:22-27; 17:6; 19:3-4, 20; 24:15, 18; 25:8-9; 40:34-35.
Ⅱ 
In Exodus we have a revelation of God:
A 
God is the God of the Hebrews—Exo. 3:18; 5:3; 7:16; 9:1, 13; 10:3.
B 
God is the God of Israel—5:1; 24:10; 32:27; 34:23.
C 
God is the speaking God—4:10, 30; 9:35; 20:1.
D 
God is the living and active God—2:24-25; 3:7-8, 20; 7:4-5; 10:2; 12:51; 19:4.
E 
God is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob—3:6, 15-16; 4:5; Matt. 22:31-32.
F 
God is the God of the covenant—Exo. 2:24; 6:4-5; 24:8; 13:5.

In Exodus we have a vision of God's building:
A 
God's building is the desire of His heart and the goal of His salvation—25:8.
B 
The desire of God's heart is to have a dwelling place on earth constituted with Christ and according to Christ—Eph. 1:5, 9.
C 
We need the Lord to give us a divine understanding of God's building—Matt. 16:18; Eph. 2:20-22; 1 Cor. 3:9:

God's building is the mingling of God with man—John 14:20; 15:4a; 1 John 4:15:
a 
The principle of God's building is that God builds Himself into us and builds us into Himself—Eph. 3:17a.
b 
The church is God's building composed of God Himself as the divine material mingled with man as the human material—1 Cor. 3:9, 11-12.

God's building is the corporate expression of the Triune God—1 Tim. 3:15-16; John 17:22; Eph. 3:19b, 21:
a 
God's desire to be expressed and represented by man on earth can be fulfilled only when we are built up together—Gen. 1:26; 1 Pet. 2:5.
b 
The building up of the saints into one corporate expression is the real testimony—Rev. 1:2, 12, 20.

God's building is the enlargement of God—John 3:29a, 30a; Col. 2:19:
a 
The proper building is the enlargement, the expansion, of the Triune God, enabling God to express Himself in a corporate way—v. 19; John 3:30a.
b 
The building of God is the Triune God as life being wrought into us so that we may become His one expression, the enlargement and expansion of God—Eph. 3:17a, 19b, 21.
D 
The direction of the book of Exodus is toward the building of the tabernacle— 25:8-9; 40:1-2, 34-35:

What God desires to have is a corporate expression of Himself through His called and redeemed people—25:8.

We need to be delivered from the world and freed to participate in God's building—1:11:
a 
The world is against God's building, and God's building is opposed to the world—Rom. 12:2.
b 
If God's people are willing to be rescued from the world unto God, God can work out His purpose to have a dwelling place—Exo. 40:1-2, 34-35.

For God's building we need to have the experience of Marah and Elim and to drink the water of life in resurrection—15:22-27; 17:6.

Exodus is an account of how God saved His chosen people and gave them a heavenly vision so that they could build His dwelling place on earth—25:9:
a 
The purpose of Exodus is to reveal God's full salvation for the building up of His dwelling place—40:17.
b 
God's chosen people are saved all the way from their fallen condition to God's dwelling place—Eph. 2:1-22.

At the mountain of God, God's people saw a vision of the desire of God's heart—to have a dwelling place on earth—and by this vision they came to know God and the kind of living that is in accordance with God—Exo. 25:8; Matt. 16:18; 1 Cor. 3:9b; Eph. 2:21-22.

We must build God's dwelling place according to the pattern revealed on the mountain—Exo. 25:9; Heb. 8:5.

God's dwelling place is built with the Christ whom we have experienced, enjoyed, and offered to God—Exo. 25:2-7.

The book of Exodus begins with slavery in Egypt and ends with the build-ing of the tabernacle; Exodus consummates with God's tabernacle, His dwelling place, filled with His glory—1:11; 40:17, 34-35.
