MatthewChapter 23 Then Jesus spoke to the crowds and to His disciples,
Therefore all that they tell you, do and keep; but do not do according to their works, for they say things and do not do them.
And they bind burdens, heavy and hard to bear, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with their finger.
And they love the place of honor at the dinners and the chief seats in the synagogues
And the greatest among you shall be your servant.
And he who will exalt himself shall be humbled, and he who will humble himself shall be exalted.
Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you go about the sea and the dry land to make one proselyte; and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of 1Gehenna as yourselves.
Woe to you, blind guides, who say, Whoever swears by the temple, it is nothing; but whoever swears by the gold of the temple, 1he is bound.
And, Whoever swears by the altar, it is nothing; but whoever swears by the gift which is upon it, he is bound.
Therefore he who swears by the altar swears by it and by all the things upon it;
And he who swears by the temple swears by it and by Him who dwells in it;
And he who swears by heaven swears by the throne of God and by Him who sits upon it.
Blind guides, who strain out the gnat but swallow the camel!
Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you cleanse the outside of the cup and the dish, but inwardly they are full of extortion and self-indulgence.
Blind Pharisee, cleanse first the inside of the cup and the dish so that their outside also may become clean.
Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you resemble whitewashed graves, which outwardly appear beautiful but inwardly are full of dead men's bones and all uncleanness.
So you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inwardly you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.
Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you build up the graves of the prophets and adorn the tombs of the righteous,
And say, If we had been there in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.
So then you testify against yourselves that you are the sons of those who murdered the prophets.
And you, fill up the measure of your fathers!
Serpents! Brood of vipers! How shall you escape the judgment of Gehenna?
Therefore, behold, I send to you 1prophets and wise men and scribes. Some of them you will kill and crucify, and some of them you will scourge in your synagogues and persecute from city to city,
So that upon you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zachariah, son of Barachiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar.
Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often 1I desired to gather your children together, the way a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you would not!
And you shall make a 1veil of blue and purple and scarlet strands and fine twined linen; it shall be made with cherubim, the work of a skillful workman.
And you shall hang up the veil under the 1clasps and bring in the Ark of the Testimony there within the veil; and the veil shall make a separation for you between the Holy Place and the Holy of Holies.
And you shall put the expiation cover upon the Ark of the Testimony in the Holy of Holies.
And you shall set the table outside the veil, and the lampstand opposite the table on the side of the tabernacle toward the south; and the table you shall put on the north side.
ExodusChapter 27 And you shall make its pots to remove its ashes, and its shovels and its basins and its forks and its firepans; all its 1utensils you shall make of bronze.
And its poles shall be put into the rings, and the poles shall be on the two sides of the altar when it is carried.
You shall make it hollow with boards; as it was shown to you in the mountain, so shall they make it.
And likewise on the north side, in length there shall be hangings a length of one hundred cubits, and its twenty pillars and their twenty sockets of bronze; the hooks of the pillars and their connecting rods shall be of silver.
And for the width of the court on the west side there shall be hangings of fifty cubits, with their ten pillars and their ten sockets.
And the width of the court on the east side eastward shall be fifty cubits.
And there shall be fifteen cubits of hangings for the one side of the gate, with their three pillars and their three sockets.
And there shall be fifteen cubits of hangings for the other side, with their three pillars and their three sockets.
All the pillars around the court shall be connected with silver, with their hooks of silver and their sockets of bronze.
ExodusChapter 28 And you shall speak to all who are wise in heart, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom, that they make Aaron's garments to sanctify him, that he may serve Me as a priest.
They therefore shall take the gold and the blue and the purple and the scarlet strands and the fine linen,
And they shall make the ephod of 1gold thread, of blue and purple and scarlet strands, and fine twined linen, the work of a skillful workman.
And the skillfully woven band, which is on it 1for its fastening, shall be like it in workmanship, of one piece with it; of gold, of blue and purple and scarlet strands and fine twined linen.
Six of their names on the one stone, and the names of the remaining six on the other stone, according to their birth.
With the work of an engraver in stone, like the engravings of a signet, you shall engrave the two stones, according to the names of the sons of Israel; you shall make them enclosed in 1settings of gold.
And you shall make settings of gold,
And two 1chains of pure gold; you shall make them twisted, a corded work, and you shall put the chains of cords on the settings.
And the third row, a jacinth, an agate, and an amethyst;
And the fourth row, a 1chrysolite, and an onyx, and a jasper; they shall be set in gold in their enclosures.
And the stones shall be according to the names of the sons of Israel, twelve, according to their names; they shall be like the 1engravings of a signet, each according to its name, for the twelve tribes.
And you shall make on the breastplate two 1rings of gold and shall put the two rings on the two ends of the breastplate.
And you shall put the two cords of gold in the two rings at the ends of the breastplate.
And you shall put the two other ends of the two cords on the two settings, and put them on the shoulder pieces of the ephod at the front of it.
And you shall make two rings of gold, and you shall put them upon the two ends of the breastplate upon its edge, which is toward the ephod on the inside.
And you shall make two rings of gold and shall put them on the bottom of the two shoulder pieces of the ephod on the front of it, close to the place where it is joined, above the skillfully woven band of the ephod.
And they shall bind the breastplate by its rings to the rings of the ephod with a 1cord of blue strands, that it may be upon the skillfully woven band of the ephod and that the breastplate may not come loose from the ephod.
So Aaron shall bear the names of the sons of Israel in the breastplate of judgment on his heart when he goes into the sanctuary, for a 1memorial before Jehovah continually.
And there shall be an opening for the head in its center; around its opening there shall be a binding edge of woven work, like the opening of a 1coat of mail, so that it will not be torn.
A golden bell and a pomegranate, a golden bell and a pomegranate, on the hem of the robe all around.
And it shall be upon Aaron when he ministers, and its sound shall be heard when he goes into the sanctuary before Jehovah and when he comes out, so that he may not die.
And you shall put it on a 1cord of blue strands, and it shall be on the turban; it shall be at the front of the turban.
And for Aaron's sons you shall make tunics, and you shall make for them girding sashes, and you shall make for them high hats, for glory and for beauty.
And you shall put them upon Aaron your brother and upon his sons with him, and you shall anoint them and 1consecrate them and sanctify them, that they may serve Me as priests.
And you shall make them linen trousers to cover their 1naked flesh; they shall reach from the loins even to the thighs;
And they shall be upon Aaron and upon his sons when they go into the Tent of Meeting or when they come near to the altar to minister in the sanctuary, that they may not bear iniquity and die. It shall be a perpetual statute for him and for his seed after him.
