1But learn the parable from the  2fig tree: As soon as its branch has  3become tender and  4puts forth its leaves, you know that the  5summer is near.
So also you, when you see  1all these things, know that  2it is near, at the doors.
Truly I say to you that this  1generation shall by no means pass away until all these things happen.
Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words shall by no means pass away.
But concerning that day and hour, no one knows, not even the angels of the heavens nor the  1Son, but the Father only.
For just as the  1days of Noah were, so will the coming of the Son of Man be.
1For as they were in those days before the flood,  2eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day in which Noah entered into the ark,
And they did not know that judgment was coming until the flood came and took all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
1At that time two  2men will be  3in the field; one is  4taken and one is left.
Two  1women will be  2grinding at the mill; one is  3taken and one is left.
1Watch therefore, for you do not know on what day your Lord comes.
But know this, that if the  1householder had known in which watch the  2thief was coming, he would have watched and would not have allowed his  1house to be broken into.
For this reason you also be ready, because at an hour when you do not expect it, the Son of Man is  1coming.
Who then is the  1faithful and prudent slave, whom the master has set over his  2household to  3give them food at the proper time?
1Blessed is that slave whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing.
Truly I say to you that he will set him  1over all his possessions.
But if that  1evil slave says in his heart, My master delays,
And begins to  1beat his fellow slaves and  2eats and drinks with the drunken,
The master of that slave will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour which he does not know,
And will  1cut him asunder and appoint his  2portion with the  3hypocrites. In that place there will be the  4weeping and the gnashing of teeth.

ExodusChapter 31
And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
See, I have called by name  1Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah.
And I have filled him with the  1Spirit of God, with wisdom and with understanding and with knowledge and with all kinds of workmanship,
To fashion skillful designs, to work in  1gold and in silver and in bronze,
And in the  1cutting of stones for setting and in the  1carving of wood, to  1work in all kinds of workmanship.
And now, I Myself have appointed with him  1Oholiab the son of Ahisamach, of the  2tribe of Dan; and in the heart of all who are wise in heart I have put wisdom, that they may make all that I have commanded you:
The Tent of Meeting, and the Ark of the Testimony and the expiation cover that is on it, and all the utensils of the tent,
And the table and its utensils, and the pure lampstand with all its utensils, and the altar of incense,
And the altar of burnt offering with all its utensils, and the laver and its base,
And the finely worked garments, both the holy garments for Aaron the priest and the garments of his sons for them to serve as priests,
And the anointing oil, and the incense of fragrant spices for the sanctuary. According to all that I have commanded you, they shall do.
And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
Speak also to the children of Israel, saying, You shall surely keep My  1Sabbaths; for it is a  2sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am Jehovah who sanctifies you.
Therefore you shall keep the Sabbath, for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to  1death; for whoever does any work on it, that soul shall be  1cut off from among his people.
Six days work shall be done, but on the seventh day there is a Sabbath of complete rest, holy to Jehovah; whoever does any work on the Sabbath day shall surely be put to death.
Therefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant.
It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel forever; for in six days Jehovah made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.
And when He had finished speaking with him upon Mount Sinai, He gave to Moses the two  1tablets of the Testimony, tablets of stone, written with the finger of God.

ExodusChapter 32
And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down from the mountain, the people gathered against Aaron and said to him, Come, make a  1god for us who will go before us; as for this Moses, the man who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him.
And Aaron said to them, Tear off the gold  1rings, which are in the ears of your wives, your sons, and your daughters, and bring them to me.
And all the people tore off the golden rings which were in their ears and brought them to Aaron.
And  1he took the gold from their hand and fashioned it with an engraving tool and made it into a molten  2calf; and they said, This is your god, O Israel, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt!
And when Aaron saw this, he built an altar before it; then Aaron made a proclamation and said, Tomorrow shall be a feast to Jehovah.
And they rose up early on the next day and offered burnt offerings and brought peace offerings; and the people sat down to eat and drink and rose up to play.
And Jehovah spoke to Moses, Go, get down; for your people, whom you brought up out of the land of Egypt, have  1corrupted themselves.
They have quickly turned aside from the way which I commanded them. They have made for themselves a molten calf, and they have worshipped it and have sacrificed to it and said, This is your god, O Israel, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt!
And Jehovah said to Moses, I have seen this people, and indeed they are a stiff-necked people.
Now therefore let Me be, that My anger may burn against them and I may consume them; and I will make you into a great nation.
And Moses  1entreated Jehovah his God and said, Jehovah, why does Your anger burn against Your people, whom You brought out of the land of Egypt with great power and with a mighty hand?
Why should the Egyptians speak, saying, With evil intent He brought them out, to slay them in the mountains and to consume them from the face of the earth? Turn from Your burning anger, and repent of this ill against Your people.
Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, Your servants, to whom You swore by Yourself and said to them, I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven, and all this land that I have spoken of I will give to your seed, and they shall inherit it forever.
Thus Jehovah repented of the evil which He said He would do to His people.
Then Moses turned and went down from the mountain with the two tablets of the Testimony in his hand, tablets that were written on both of their sides; on the one side and on the other were they written.
And the tablets were the work of God, and the writing was the writing of God, engraved upon the tablets.
And when Joshua heard the sound of the people as they shouted, he said to Moses, There is a sound of war in the camp.
But  1Moses said,
It is not the sound of the cry of triumph,
Neither is it the sound of the cry of defeat;
But it is the sound of singing that I hear.
And as soon as he drew near to the camp, he saw the calf and the dancing; and Moses' anger burned, and he threw the tablets out of his hands and  1shattered them at the foot of the mountain.
And he took the calf which they had made, and he burned it with fire and ground it to powder and scattered it upon the water and made the children of Israel  1drink it.
And Moses said to Aaron, What did this people do to you that you brought so great a sin upon them?
And Aaron said, Do not let the anger of my lord burn. You know the people, that they are set on evil;
For they said to me, Make a god for us who will go before us; for this Moses, the man who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him.
So I said to them, Whoever has any gold, let them tear it off; so they gave it to me, and I threw it into the fire, and this calf came out.
And when Moses saw that the people were without restraint (for Aaron had let them be without restraint to be a derision among those who rise up against them),
Moses stood in the gate of the camp and said,  1Whoever is for Jehovah, come to me. And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves to him.
And he said to them, Thus says Jehovah the God of Israel, Let each man put his sword upon his thigh, and go back and forth from gate to gate throughout the camp, and each man kill his  1brother, and each man his  1companion, and each man his  1neighbor.
And the sons of Levi did according to the word of Moses, and that day about three thousand men among the people fell.
And Moses said, Consecrate yourselves today to Jehovah, for every man has been against his son and against his brother, that He may bestow upon you a blessing today.
And on the next day Moses said to the people, You have sinned a great sin; and now I will go up to Jehovah; perhaps I can make  1expiation for your sin.
And Moses returned to Jehovah and said, Oh, this people have committed a great sin and have made a god of gold for themselves.
And now if only You will forgive their sin; and if not, please blot me out of Your book, which You have written.
And Jehovah said to Moses, Whoever has sinned against Me, I will blot him out of My book.
And now go, lead the people to the place about which I have spoken to you. Now My Angel will go before you; nevertheless in the day when I  1visit, I will visit their sin upon them.
And Jehovah struck the people because of what they did with the calf which Aaron had made.

ExodusChapter 33
Then Jehovah spoke to Moses, Depart; go up from here, you and the people whom you have brought up out of the land of Egypt, to the land of which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, To your seed I will give it.
And I will send an  1Angel before you; and I will drive out the Canaanites, the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites.
Go up to a land flowing with milk and honey; for I will not go up in your midst, lest I consume you in the way, for you are a stiff-necked people.
And when the people heard this evil word, they mourned, and no one put on his ornaments.
Now Jehovah had said to Moses, Say to the children of Israel, You are a stiff-necked people; if I were to go up in your midst for one moment, I would consume you. Now therefore put off your ornaments from you, and I will  1decide what to do to you.
Thus the children of Israel were stripped of their  1ornaments from Mount Horeb onward.
Now Moses would take the tent and pitch it  1outside the camp, some distance from the camp; and he called it the tent of meeting. And everyone who sought Jehovah went out to the tent of meeting, which was outside the camp.
And whenever Moses went out to the tent, all the people would rise up and stand, every man at the entrance of his tent, and gaze after Moses, until he entered the tent.
And whenever Moses entered the tent, the pillar of cloud would descend and stay at the entrance of the tent, and Jehovah would speak with Moses.
When all the people saw the pillar of cloud standing at the entrance of the tent, all the people would rise up and worship, every man at the entrance of his tent.
And Jehovah would speak to Moses face to face, just as a man speaks to his  1companion. And  2Moses would return to the camp, but his attendant Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, would not depart out of the tent.
And Moses said to Jehovah, See, You say to me, Bring up this people; but You have not let me know whom You will send with me. Yet You have said, I know you by name, and you have also found favor in My sight.
Now therefore if I have found favor in Your sight, please let me know now Your ways, that I may know You, so that I may continue to find favor in Your sight. Consider also that this nation is Your people.
And He said, My  1presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest.
And he said to Him, If Your presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here.
For how then shall it be known that I have found favor in Your sight, I and Your people? Is it not by Your going with us, so that we, I and Your people, are distinct from all the other people who are on the face of the earth?
And Jehovah said to Moses, I will do this thing also that you have spoken; for you have found favor in My sight, and I know you by name.
And he said, Please show me Your  1glory.
And He said, I will make all My goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim the name of Jehovah before you; and I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.
But He said, You cannot see My face, for no man shall see Me and live.
Then Jehovah said, Here, there is a place by Me, and you shall stand upon the rock;
And while My glory passes by, I will put you in a  1cleft of the rock, and I will cover you with My hand until I have passed by.
And I will take away My hand, and you will see My back; but My face shall not be seen.
