To Timothy, genuine child in faith: Grace, mercy, peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.
写信给那凭信作我真孩子的提摩太：愿恩典、怜悯、平安，从父神和我们的主基督耶稣归与你。

Even as I exhorted you, when I was going into Macedonia, to remain in Ephesus in order that you might charge certain ones not to teach different things
我往马其顿去的时候，曾劝你仍住在以弗所，好嘱咐那几个人，不可教导与神的经纶不同的事，

Nor to give heed to myths and unending genealogies, which produce questionings rather than God's economy, which is in faith.
也不可注意虚构无稽之事，和无穷的家谱；这等事只引起辩论，对于神在信仰里的经纶并无助益。

But the end of the charge is love out of a pure heart and out of a good conscience and out of unfeigned faith;
这嘱咐的目的乃是爱，这爱是出于清洁的心、无亏的良心并无伪的信心。

From which things some, having misaimed, have turned aside to vain talking,
有人失去目标，偏离这些，转向虚空的谈论，

Desiring to be teachers of the law, though they understand neither the things that they say, nor concerning what they confidently affirm.
想要作律法的教师，却不明白自己所讲说、所断定的。

But we know that the law is good, if one uses it lawfully
我们晓得律法是好的，只要人用得合法，

And knows this, that the law is not enacted for a righteous man but for the lawless and unruly, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who strike their fathers and those who strike their mothers, for murderers,
知道律法不是为义人设立的，乃是为不法和不服的、不敬虔和犯罪的、不圣和世俗的、殴打父母的、杀人的、

For fornicators, homosexuals, kidnappers, liars, perjurers, and whatever other thing that is opposed to the healthy teaching,
淫乱的、同性恋的、拐人的、说谎的、起假誓的以及其他敌对健康教训之事设立的，

According to the gospel of the glory of the blessed God, with which I was entrusted.
这是照着那托付与我，可称颂之神荣耀的福音说的。

I give thanks to Him who empowers me, Christ Jesus our Lord, that He has counted me faithful, appointing me to the ministry,
我感谢那加我能力的，我们的主基督耶稣，因祂以我为忠信，派我尽职事。

Who formerly was a blasphemer and a persecutor and an insulting person; but I was shown mercy because, being ignorant, I acted in unbelief.
我从前是亵渎神的、逼迫人的、侮慢人的；然而我蒙了怜悯，因我是在不信中，无知而作的。

And the grace of our Lord superabounded with faith and love in Christ Jesus.
并且我们主的恩是格外增多，使我在基督耶稣里有信，又有爱。

Faithful is the word and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am foremost.
基督耶稣降世，为要拯救罪人，这话是可信的，是值得完全接受的；在罪人中我是个罪魁。

But because of this I was shown mercy, that in me, the foremost, Jesus Christ might display all His long-suffering for a pattern to those who are to believe on Him unto eternal life.
然而，我所以蒙了怜悯，是要叫耶稣基督在我这罪魁身上，显示祂一切的恒忍，给后来信靠祂得永远生命的人作榜样。

Now to the King of the ages, incorruptible, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.
但愿尊贵荣耀归与那永世的君王，就是那不能朽坏、不能看见、独一的神，直到永永远远。阿们。

This charge I commit to you, my child Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you might war the good warfare,
孩子提摩太，我照从前指着你所说的预言，将这嘱咐交托你，叫你凭这些预言，可以打那美好的仗，

Holding faith and a good conscience, concerning which some, thrusting these away, have become shipwrecked regarding the faith;
持守信心和无亏的良心；有人丢弃这些，就在信仰上犹如船破，

Of whom are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have delivered to Satan that they may be disciplined not to blaspheme.
其中有许米乃和亚力山大，我已经把他们交给撒但，使他们受管教，不再谤讟。

Oh that my head were waters, / And my eye a fountain of tears, / That I might weep day and night / For the slain of the daughter of my people!
但愿我的头为众水，我的眼为泪的泉源，我好为我百姓中被杀的人，昼夜哭泣！

Oh that I had a traveler's lodging place in the wilderness / That I might leave my people and go away from them, / For all of them are adulterers and an assembly of treacherous men.
惟愿我在旷野有行路人住宿之处，使我可以离开我的民出去，因他们都是行奸淫的，是行诡诈的会众。

They bend their tongue like their bow; / Falsehood, and not truth, / Prevails in the land; / For they proceed from evil to evil, / And they do not know Me, declares Jehovah.
他们弯起舌头像弓一样；在这地得势的，是谎言而非真理；他们乃是恶上加恶，并不认识我；这是耶和华说的。

Let each man be on guard against his neighbor / And not confide in any brother; / For every brother only supplants, / And every neighbor goes about as a slanderer.
你们各人当谨防邻舍，不可信靠弟兄；因为弟兄尽行抓夺，邻舍都往来谗谤人。

And everyone deceives his neighbor / And does not speak the truth; / They teach their tongue to speak falsehood; / They weary themselves committing iniquity.
他们各人欺哄邻舍，不说真话；他们教导舌头说谎，劳劳碌碌地作孽。

Your dwelling is in the midst of deceit; / Through deceit they refuse to know Me, / Declares Jehovah.
你的住处在诡诈之中；他们因行诡诈不肯认识我；这是耶和华说的。

Therefore thus says Jehovah of hosts, / Indeed, I will refine them and test them; / For what else can I do because of the daughter of My people?
所以万军之耶和华如此说，我要熬炼、试验他们；不然，我因我百姓的罪该怎样行呢？

Their tongue is a deadly arrow; / It speaks deceit. / Each speaks peaceably to his neighbor with his mouth, / But in his heart he lays an ambush for him.
他们的舌头是致命的箭，说话诡诈。人与邻舍口说和平话，心却谋害他。

Shall I not punish them for these things? / Declares Jehovah; / And on a nation such as this / Shall My soul not avenge itself?
耶和华说，我岂不因这些事讨他们的罪么？我魂岂不报复这样的国么？

For the mountains I will take up a weeping and wailing, / And for the pastures of the wilderness, a lamentation; / Because they have been burned up so that no one passes through, / And the sound of cattle is not heard; / Both the birds of the sky and the beasts / Have fled and have gone.
我要为山岭哭泣举哀，为旷野的草场扬声哀号，因为都已烧尽，甚至无人经过，人也听不见牲畜鸣叫；空中的飞鸟和地上的野兽，都已逃去。

And I will make Jerusalem a heap of ruins, / A habitation of jackals; / And I will make the cities of Judah / A desolation without inhabitant.
我必使耶路撒冷变为乱堆，为野狗的住处；也必使犹大的城邑变为荒场，无人居住。

Who is the wise man who can understand this, and he to whom the mouth of Jehovah has spoken, that he might declare it? Why is the land destitute, burned like the wilderness, so that no one passes through?
谁是智慧人可以明白这事？耶和华的口向谁说过，使他可以述说？这地为何毁灭，烧尽如同旷野，甚至无人经过？

And Jehovah said, Because they have forsaken My law, which I set before them, and have not listened to My voice or walked in My law,
耶和华说，因为这百姓离弃我在他们面前所设立的律法，没有听从我的话，也没有遵行我的律法；

But have walked after the stubbornness of their heart and after the Baals, as their fathers taught them;
只随从自己顽梗的心而行，照他们列祖所教训的，随从众巴力；

Therefore thus says Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, I will feed them, this people, with wormwood and give them poisonous water to drink.
所以万军之耶和华以色列的神如此说，我必将茵陈给这百姓吃，又将苦毒的水给他们喝。

And I will scatter them among the nations, whom neither they nor their fathers knew, and send the sword after them until I have consumed them.
我要把他们分散在列国中，就是他们和他们列祖素不认识的列国；我也要打发刀剑追杀他们，直到将他们灭尽。

Thus says Jehovah of hosts, / Consider, and call for the mourning women to come, / And send for the skillful women to come;
万军之耶和华如此说，你们应当思想，将唱哀歌的妇女召来，又打发人召灵巧的妇女来；

Let them hasten and take up a wailing for us, / That our eyes may shed tears / And our eyelids may pour forth water.
叫她们速速为我们举哀，使我们眼泪汪汪，使我们的眼皮涌出水来。

For a voice of wailing / Was heard from Zion: / How we are ruined! / We are utterly put to shame! / For we have forsaken the land / Because they have cast down our dwellings.
因为听见哀声出于锡安，说，我们是怎样的败落！我们大大地蒙羞！因为我们撇下了这地，因为人拆毁了我们的住处。

Therefore listen, O women, to the word of Jehovah, / And let your ear receive the word of His mouth; / And teach your daughters wailing, / And let each teach her neighbor a lamentation.
妇女们哪，你们当听耶和华的话，你们的耳朵要领受祂口中的言语；又当教导你们的女儿哀哭，各人教导自己的邻舍唱哀歌。

For death has come up through our windows; / It has entered our palaces / To cut off the children from the streets, / The young men from the open squares.
因为死亡已经上来，进了我们的窗户，入了我们的宫殿，要从街道上剪除孩童，从宽阔处剪除少年人。

Speak: Thus declares Jehovah, / And the corpses of men will fall / Like dung on the surface of the field / And like a sheaf after the reaper, / And there will be no one to gather them.
你当说，耶和华如此说，人的尸首必倒在田野像粪土，又像收割的人遗落的一把禾稼，无人收取。

Thus says Jehovah, / Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, / And let not the mighty man glory in his might; / Let not the rich man glory in his riches.
耶和华如此说，智慧人不要因他的智慧夸口，勇士不要因他的勇力夸口，财主不要因他的财物夸口；

But let him who glories glory in this, / That he has insight and knows Me, / That I am Jehovah who exercises lovingkindness, / Justice, and righteousness on earth; / For in these things I delight, declares Jehovah.
夸口的却因他有聪明，认识我是耶和华，又知道我喜悦在地上施行慈爱、公理和公义，以此夸口；这是耶和华说的。

Indeed, days are coming, declares Jehovah, when I will punish all those who are circumcised and yet uncircumcised:
耶和华说，日子将到，我要惩罚一切受过割礼，心却没有受割礼的；

Egypt and Judah and Edom and the children of Ammon and Moab and all those who cut the corners of their hair, who inhabit the wilderness; for all the nations are uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel is uncircumcised in heart.
我要惩罚埃及、犹大、以东、亚扪人、摩押，和一切住在旷野剃周围头发的；因为列国人都没有受割礼，以色列全家心中也没有受割礼。

Hear the word which Jehovah speaks to you, O house of Israel.
以色列家啊，要听耶和华对你们所说的话。

Thus says Jehovah, / Do not learn the way of the nations, / And do not be terrified by the signs of the heavens, / Although the nations are terrified by them.
耶和华如此说，你们不要学列国的行径，也不要为天象惊惶，虽然列国为此事惊惶。

For the customs of the peoples are vanity, / Because their god is a tree cut from the forest, / The work of the hands of a craftsman with an ax.
众民的风俗是虚空的，他们的神是从树林中砍下的树，是匠人用斧子作成的手工。

He adorns it with silver and with gold; / They fasten it with nails and hammers / So that it cannot totter.
他用金银妆饰，用钉子和锤子钉牢，使它不动摇。

They are like a post in a cucumber field, / And they cannot speak; / They must be carried / Because they cannot walk. / Do not be afraid of them, / For they cannot do evil, / And neither is it in them to do good.
它们好像瓜田里的柱子，不能说话；它们不能行走，必须有人抬着。你们不要怕它们，因为它们不能降祸，也无力降福。

There is none like You, O Jehovah; / You are great, / And Your name is great in might.
耶和华啊，没有像你的；你本为大，你的名大有能力。

Who would not fear You, / O King of the nations? / For it befits You, / For among all the wise of the nations / And in all their kingdoms / There is none like You.
万国的王啊，谁不敬畏你？敬畏你本是合宜的，因为在列国的智慧人中，并万国之中，没有像你的。

But they are altogether stupid and foolish; / The instruction of their idols is mere wood.
他们尽都是愚蠢、愚昧的；偶像的训诲算什么？它不过是木头。

Beaten silver / Is brought from Tarshish, / And gold from Uphaz, / The work of a craftsman / And of the hands of a goldsmith. / Their clothing is blue and purple; / All of them are the work of skillful men.
有银子打成片，是从他施带来的，并有从乌法来的金子，都是匠人的作品和金匠的手工；又有蓝色紫色料的衣服，都是巧匠的作品。

But Jehovah is the true God; / He is the living God and the eternal King. / At His wrath the earth quakes, / And the nations cannot endure His indignation.
惟耶和华是真神，是活神，是永远的王。祂一发怒，地就震动；祂一恼恨，列国都抵受不住。

Thus you shall say to them, The gods that did not make the heavens and the earth, these will perish from the earth and from under the heavens.
你们要对他们如此说，那些不是造作天地的神，必从地上、从天下灭亡。

It is He who made the earth by His power, / Who established the world by His wisdom, / And by His understanding He stretched out the heavens.
耶和华用能力造作大地，用智慧建立世界，用聪明铺张诸天。

When He utters His voice, there is a tumult of waters in the heavens, / And He causes the vapors to rise from the ends of the earth; / He makes lightning for the rain / And brings forth wind from His treasuries.
祂一发声，空中便有多水激动；祂使云雾从地极上升；祂为雨造闪电，从祂府库中带出风来。

Every man is stupid, without knowledge; / Every goldsmith is put to shame by his idol; / For his molten image is falsehood, / And there is no breath in them.
各人都愚蠢，毫无知识；各金匠都因自己雕制的偶像羞愧；他所铸的像是虚假的，其中并无气息。

They are vanity, the work of delusion; / At the time of their punishment they will perish.
这些都是虚无的，是迷惑人的作品；到讨罪的时候，必要灭亡。

The Portion of Jacob is not like these; / For He is the One who formed everything, / And Israel is the tribe of His inheritance; / Jehovah of hosts is His name.
雅各的分不像这些；因祂是形成万有的，以色列也是祂产业的支派；万军之耶和华是祂的名。

Gather up your bundle from the ground, / O inhabitant under siege.
受围困的居民哪，从地上收拾你的包袱吧。

For thus says Jehovah, / I will sling out / The inhabitants of the land / At this time, / And I will bring distress on them, / That they may find it.
因为耶和华如此说，这时候我必将此地的居民甩出去，又必将困苦加在他们身上，使他们受困苦。

Woe is me because of my hurt! / My wound is grievous. / But I said, Truly this is my affliction, / And I must bear it.
民说，祸哉，我受损伤！我的创伤严重。我却说，这真是我的痛苦，我必须忍受。

My tent is destroyed, and all my cords are broken; / My children have gone from me and they are not; / There is no one who will spread out my tent again / And set up my curtains.
我的帐棚毁坏，我的绳索都折断了。我的儿女离我出去，没有了。无人再支搭我的帐棚，挂起我的幔子。

For the shepherds are stupid / And have not sought Jehovah; / Therefore they have not prospered, / And all their flock is scattered.
因为牧人都是愚蠢，没有寻求耶和华；所以他们不得顺利，他们的羊群也都分散。

The sound of a report! Here it comes, / Even a great commotion from the land of the north, / To make the cities of Judah / A desolation, a habitation of jackals.
有风声！敌人来了，有大扰乱从北方之地出来，要使犹大城邑变为荒凉，成为野狗的住处。

I know, O Jehovah, / That a man's way is not in himself; / It is not in the man who walks / To direct his step.
耶和华啊，我晓得人的道路不由自己；行走的人，也不能定自己的脚步。

Correct me, O Jehovah, but in measure, / Not in Your anger lest You bring me to nothing.
耶和华啊，求你适度管教我；不要在你的怒中管教我，恐怕使我归于无有。

Pour out Your wrath on the nations / Who do not know You / And upon the families / Who do not call upon Your name; / For they have devoured Jacob, yes, devoured him and brought him to an end, / And they have desolated his habitation.
愿你将忿怒倾在不认识你的列国中，和不呼求你名的各族上；因为他们吞了雅各，不但吞了而且灭绝，把他的住处变为荒场。
