所以，我们既不能再忍受，就乐意独自留在雅典，

Διὸ μηκέτι στέγοντες εὐδοκήσαμεν καταλειφθῆναι ἐν Ἀθήναις μόνοι

Therefore when we could bear it no longer, we thought it good to be left in Athens alone,

Wherefore when we could no longer forbear, we thought it good to be left at Athens alone;

Wherefore, being no longer able to refrain ourselves, we thought good to be left alone in Athens,

Wherefore no longer forbearing, we thought good to be left in Athens alone,

So when we could stand it no longer, we thought it best to be left by ourselves in Athens.

打发我们的弟兄，在基督福音上作神同工的提摩太去，为着你们的信心，坚固并鼓励你们，

打发我们的兄弟在基督福音上作神执事的提摩太前去（“作神执事的”有古卷作“与神同工的”）坚固你们，并在你们所信的道上劝慰你们，

派我们的弟兄，就是在基督的福音上和神同工的提摩太去，为了要在你们的信仰上坚定你们，劝慰你们，

而打发我们的弟兄和在基督的福音上，作天主仆人的弟茂德前去，为在信德上坚固鼓励你们，

而打发提摩太、在基督的福音上做我们的兄弟、做上帝同工（有古卷无‘上帝’一词）的、为着你们信心的益处、去使你们坚固，去鼓励你们，

就派遣提摩太．我们的兄弟、基督的福音中神的(韦:执事)(联:同工)要…坚定和劝勉你们，{为你们的信仰}

καὶ ἐπέμψαμεν Τιμόθεον, τὸν ἀδελφὸν ἡμῶν καὶ συνεργὸν τοῦ θεοῦ ἐν τῷ εὐαγγελίῳ τοῦ Χριστοῦ, εἰς τὸ στηρίξαι ὑμᾶς καὶ παρακαλέσαι ὑπὲρ τῆς πίστεως ὑμῶν

And we sent Timothy, our brother and God's fellow worker in the gospel of Christ, to establish and encourage you for the sake of your faith,

And sent Timotheus, our brother, and minister of God, and our fellowlabourer in the gospel of Christ, to establish you, and to comfort you concerning your faith:

and sent Timotheus, our brother and fellow-workman under God in the glad tidings of Christ, to confirm you and encourage [you] concerning your faith,

and did send Timotheus -- our brother, and a ministrant of God, and our fellow-workman in the good news of the Christ -- to establish you, and to comfort you concerning your faith,

We sent Timothy, who is our brother and God's fellow worker in spreading the gospel of Christ, to strengthen and encourage you in your faith,

免得有人被诸般患难摇动。你们自己知道，我们受患难原是派定的。

免得有人被诸般患难摇动，因为你们自己知道我们受患难原是命定的。

免得有人在各样的患难中动摇了。你们自己知道，我们受患难原是命定的。

不叫任何人在这些困苦中受到动摇；你们自己原也知道：我们是注定要受苦的，

免得有人在这些患难中被诱动；因为你们自己也知道，我们是被派定而受苦的。

没有一人在这些苦难中被搅扰。因为你们自己知道：我们命定受这个(指苦难)。

τὸ μηδένα σαίνεσθαι ἐν ταῖς θλίψεσιν ταύταις. αὐτοὶ γὰρ οἴδατε ὅτι εἰς τοῦτο κείμεθα·

That no one would be shaken by these afflictions; for you yourselves know that we are appointed for this.

That no man should be moved by these afflictions: for yourselves know that we are appointed thereunto.

that no one might be moved by these afflictions. (For yourselves know that we are set for this;

that no one be moved in these tribulations, for yourselves have known that for this we are set,

so that no one would be unsettled by these trials. You know quite well that we were destined for them.

我们在你们那里的时候，预先告诉你们，我们将会受患难，这果然发生了，你们也知道。

καὶ γὰρ ὅτε πρὸς ὑμᾶς ἦμεν, προελέγομεν ὑμῖν ὅτι μέλλομεν θλίβεσθαι, καθὼς καὶ ἐγένετο καὶ οἴδατε.

For even when we were with you, we told you beforehand that we are to be afflicted, even as it also came to pass and you know.

For verily, when we were with you, we told you before that we should suffer tribulation; even as it came to pass, and ye know.

for even when we were with you, we said to you beforehand, that we are about to suffer tribulation, as also it did come to pass, and ye have known it;

In fact, when we were with you, we kept telling you that we would be persecuted. And it turned out that way, as you well know.

所以，我再也不能忍受，就打发人去，要知道你们的信心如何，恐怕那试诱者试诱了你们，叫我们的劳苦归于徒然。

为此，我既不能再忍，就打发人去，要晓得你们的信心如何，恐怕那诱惑人的到底诱惑了你们，叫我们的劳苦归于徒然。

因此，我既然不能再忍下去，就派人去打听你们的信心怎样；恐怕那试探人的诱惑了你们，以致我们的劳苦白费了。

为此，我既不能再等待，逐派他去探悉你们的信德，怕那诱惑者诱惑了你们，而使我们的劳苦等于白费了。

为了这缘故、我再也忍受不住了，就打发人去、要知道你们的信心怎样，恐怕那试诱者试诱了你们，我们的劳苦就落了空。

为此，我不再忍受，就差遣人．去了解你们的信心(如何)，免得那诱惑人的诱惑了你们，而我们的劳苦归于徒然。

διὰ τοῦτο κἀγὼ μηκέτι στέγων ἔπεμψα εἰς τὸ γνῶναι τὴν πίστιν ὑμῶν, μή πως ἐπείρασεν ὑμᾶς ὁ πειράζων καὶ εἰς κενὸν γένηται ὁ κόπος ἡμῶν.

Because of this, when I also could bear it no longer, I sent to find out concerning your faith, lest perhaps the tempter had tempted you and our labor would be in vain.

For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labour be in vain.

For this reason *I* also, no longer able to refrain myself, sent to know your faith, lest perhaps the tempter had tempted you and our labour should be come to nothing.

because of this also, I, no longer forbearing, did send to know your faith, lest he who is tempting did tempt you, and in vain might be our labour.

For this reason, when I could stand it no longer, I sent to find out about your faith. I was afraid that in some way the tempter might have tempted you and our efforts might have been useless.

但现在提摩太从你们那里来到我们这里，将你们信心和爱心的好消息报给我们，又说你们常常亲切地记念我们，渴慕见我们，如同我们渴慕见你们一样。

但提摩太刚才从你们那里回来，将你们信心和爱心的好消息报给我们，又说你们常常记念我们，切切地想见我们，如同我们想见你们一样。

提摩太刚刚从你们那里回来，把你们信心和爱心的好消息带给我们。他还说，你们常常怀念我们，切切想见我们，好像我们想见你们一样。

现今，弟茂德从你们那里回到我们这里，对你们的信德和爱德，给我们报告了好消息；并说你们时常想念我们，渴望见到我们，就像我们渴望见到你们一样。

Ἄρτι δὲ ἐλθόντος Τιμοθέου πρὸς ἡμᾶς ἀφ᾽ ὑμῶν καὶ εὐαγγελισαμένου ἡμῖν τὴν πίστιν καὶ τὴν ἀγάπην ὑμῶν καὶ ὅτι ἔχετε μνείαν ἡμῶν ἀγαθὴν πάντοτε, ἐπιποθοῦντες ἡμᾶς ἰδεῖν καθάπερ καὶ ἡμεῖς ὑμᾶς,

But Timothy, having just come to us from you and announcing the good news to us of your faith and love and that you have kind remembrance of us always and long to see us, just as we also you,

But now when Timotheus came from you unto us, and brought us good tidings of your faith and charity, and that ye have good remembrance of us always, desiring greatly to see us, as we also to see you:

But Timotheus having just come to us from you, and brought to us the glad tidings of your faith and love, and that ye have always good remembrance of us, desiring much to see us, even as we also you;

And now Timotheus having come unto us from you, and having declared good news to us of your faith and love, and that ye have a good remembrance of us always, desiring much to see us, as we also to see you,

But Timothy has just now come to us from you and has brought good news about your faith and love. He has told us that you always have pleasant memories of us and that you long to see us, just as we also long to see you.

所以弟兄们，我们在一切贫困和患难之中，借着你们的信心，就在你们身上得了安慰；

所以弟兄们，我们在一切困苦患难之中，因着你们的信心就得了安慰。

所以弟兄们，我们在这一切困苦患难中，因着你们的信心就得了安慰。

为此，弟兄们，我们在一切磨难困苦中，因了你们的信德，由你们获得了安慰。

故此弟兄们，在我们的一切困难和患难中、我们借着你们的信心、就在你们的事上得了鼓励了。

为此，…我们…被激励，弟兄们！因你们．在一切我们的困苦和迫害中，借着你们的信心

διὰ τοῦτο παρεκλήθημεν, ἀδελφοί, ἐφ᾽ ὑμῖν ἐπὶ πάσῃ τῇ ἀνάγκῃ καὶ θλίψει ἡμῶν διὰ τῆς ὑμῶν πίστεως,

Because of this we were comforted because of you, brothers, in all our necessity and affliction, through your faith;

Therefore, brethren, we were comforted over you in all our affliction and distress by your faith:

for this reason we have been comforted in you, brethren, in all our distress and tribulation, through your faith,

because of this we were comforted, brethren, over you, in all our tribulation and necessity, through your faith,

Therefore, brothers, in all our distress and persecution we were encouraged about you because of your faith.

因为现今你们若在主里站立得住，我们就活了。

你们若靠主站立得稳，我们就活了。

如果你们在主里站立得稳，我们就可以活下去了。

因为若是你们在主内站立稳定，我们现在就能活下去。

如今你们若在主里站稳，我们就真地活了。

如今…我们就充满活力。你们若靠主站立得稳，

ὅτι νῦν ζῶμεν ἐὰν ὑμεῖς στήκετε ἐν κυρίῳ.

Because now we live if you stand firm in the Lord.

For now we live, if ye stand fast in the Lord.

because now we live if *ye* stand firm in [the] Lord.

because now we live, if ye may stand fast in the Lord;

For now we really live, since you are standing firm in the Lord.

我们在我们的神面前，因着你们甚是喜乐，为这一切的喜乐，能用何等的感谢，为你们报答神？

我们在神面前，因着你们甚是喜乐，为这一切喜乐，可用何等的感谢为你们报答神呢？

我们因你们的缘故，在我们的神面前满有喜乐；为这一切喜乐，我们可以为你们向神献上怎么样的感谢呢！

我们为了你们的原故，在我们的天主前甚为喜乐：对这一切喜乐，我们能怎样感谢，好为你们称谢天主呢？

我们为了你们的缘故、在我们的上帝面前、大大喜乐〔黑夜白日、格外恳切地祈求、要见你们的面、来补你们信心的缺欠〕

…能以怎样的感谢…报答神呢？为你们因这一切喜乐．因着你们…我们有喜乐，在我们的神面前，

τίνα γὰρ εὐχαριστίαν δυνάμεθα τῷ θεῷ ἀνταποδοῦναι περὶ ὑμῶν ἐπὶ πάσῃ τῇ χαρᾷ ᾗ χαίρομεν δι᾽ ὑμᾶς ἔμπροσθεν τοῦ θεοῦ ἡμῶν,

For what thanks can we return to God concerning you for all the joy with which we rejoice because of you before our God,

For what thanks can we render to God again for you, for all the joy wherewith we joy for your sakes before our God;

For what thanksgiving can we render to God for you, for all the joy wherewith we rejoice on account of you before our God,

for what thanks are we able to recompense to God for you, for all the joy with which we do joy because of you in the presence of our God?

How can we thank God enough for you in return for all the joy we have in the presence of our God because of you?

我们昼夜格外恳切地祈求，要见你们的面，补足你们信心的缺欠。

我们昼夜切切地祈求，要见你们的面，补满你们信心的不足。

我们昼夜迫切祈求，要见你们的面，并且要补满你们信心的不足。

我们惟有黑夜白日恳切祈求，为能见到你们的面，为能弥补你们信德的缺陷。

在这一切喜乐上、我们能用何等的感谢来为你们报答上帝呢？

(我们)昼夜切切祈求，为要见你们的面．和复原你们信心的不足。

νυκτὸς καὶ ἡμέρας ὑπερεκπερισσοῦ δεόμενοι εἰς τὸ ἰδεῖν ὑμῶν τὸ πρόσωπον καὶ καταρτίσαι τὰ ὑστερήματα τῆς πίστεως ὑμῶν;

Night and day petitioning exceedingly so that we may see your face and complete the things that are lacking in your faith?

Night and day praying exceedingly that we might see your face, and might perfect that which is lacking in your faith?

night and day beseeching exceedingly to the end that we may see your face, and perfect what is lacking in your faith?

night and day exceedingly beseeching, that we might see your face, and perfect the things lacking in your faith.

Night and day we pray most earnestly that we may see you again and supply what is lacking in your faith.

愿我们的神与父自己，和我们的主耶稣，修直我们到你们那里去的路。

愿神我们的父和我们的主耶稣，一直引领我们到你们那里去；

愿我们的父神自己和我们的主耶稣为我们开路，使我们可以到你们那里去。

但愿天主我们的父和我们的主耶稣，铺平我们去你们那里的道路。

愿上帝我们的父、亲自和我们的主耶稣、使我们的路平直、到你们那里去。

(愿)我们的父神自己．和我们的主耶稣．引领我们的路到你们那里。

Αὐτὸς δὲ ὁ θεὸς καὶ πατὴρ ἡμῶν καὶ ὁ κύριος ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦς κατευθύναι τὴν ὁδὸν ἡμῶν πρὸς ὑμᾶς·

Now may our God and Father Himself and our Lord Jesus make straight our path to you;

又愿主使你们彼此的爱并对众人的爱，都能增多洋溢，正如我们对你们一样；

又愿主叫你们彼此相爱的心，并爱众人的心，都能增长、充足，如同我们爱你们一样，

又愿主叫你们彼此相爱的心，和爱众人的心，都充充足足，多而又多，好像我们爱你们一样。

愿主使你们彼此间的爱情，和对众人的爱情增长满溢，就像我们对你们所有的爱情，

又愿主使你们、对于彼此相爱的心、和爱众人的心、增多而又满溢，正如我们爱你们的一样，

又(愿)主使你们…能增长且充足，对彼此和众人的爱心．如同我们对你们(的爱)一样；

ὑμᾶς δὲ ὁ κύριος πλεονάσαι καὶ περισσεύσαι τῇ ἀγάπῃ εἰς ἀλλήλους καὶ εἰς πάντας καθάπερ καὶ ἡμεῖς εἰς ὑμᾶς,

And the Lord cause you to increase and abound in love to one another and to all, just as we also to you,

And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you:

But you, may the Lord make to exceed and abound in love toward one another, and toward all, even as we also towards you,

and you the Lord cause to increase and to abound in the love to one another, and to all, even as we also to you,

May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you.

好使你们的心，当我们主耶稣同祂众圣徒来临的时候，在我们的神与父面前，得以坚固，在圣别上无可指摘。

好使你们当我们主耶稣同他众圣徒来的时候，在我们父神面前心里坚固，成为圣洁，无可责备。

也愿他坚定你们的心，好叫你们在我们主耶稣和众圣徒再来的时候，在我们的父神面前，完全圣洁，无可指摘。

好坚固你们的心，使你们在我们的主耶稣同他的众圣者来临时，于天主我们的父前，在圣德上无可指摘。

好让他、当我们主耶稣带着他的众圣者御临的时候、使你们的心坚固、在我们的父上帝面前、于圣洁上无可责备。

使得坚定你们的心成为毫无瑕疵在圣洁中，在我们的父神面前．在我们的主耶稣…来临的时候，{与所有他的圣徒}(韦:)(联:阿们！)

εἰς τὸ στηρίξαι ὑμῶν τὰς καρδίας ἀμέμπτους ἐν ἁγιωσύνῃ ἔμπροσθεν τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ πατρὸς ἡμῶν ἐν τῇ παρουσίᾳ τοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦ μετὰ πάντων τῶν ἁγίων αὐτοῦ[, ἀμήν].

So that He may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all His saints.

To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.

in order to the confirming of your hearts unblamable in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his saints.

to the establishing your hearts blameless in sanctification before our God and Father, in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints.

May he strengthen your hearts so that you will be blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father when our Lord Jesus comes with all his holy ones.
