And say, Thus says the Lord Jehovah, A great eagle with great wings, long pinions, and full plumage of many colors came to Lebanon and took away the top of the cedar.

就是折去香柏树尽尖的嫩枝，叼到贸易之地，放在商人的城中；

He cropped off its topmost young twig and brought it to a land of merchants; he set it in a city of traders.

And there was another great eagle with great wings and much plumage; and then this vine bent its roots toward him, and from the beds where it was planted it sent out its branches toward him that he might water it.

你要说：主永恒主这么说：这葡萄树哪能发旺（同词：顺利成功）呢？鹰难道不将它的根拔起，将它的枝子（传统：果子）芟除，使发生的嫩叶都枯干掉么？这也不必用大力和许多人去从根那里将它拔出呀。

אֱמֹ֗ר כֹּ֥ה אָמַ֛ר אֲדֹנָ֥י יְהֹוִ֖ה תִּצְלָ֑ח הֲלֹוא֩ אֶת־שָׁרָשֶׁ֨יהָ יְנַתֵּ֜ק וְאֶת־פִּרְיָ֣הּ׀ יְקֹוסֵ֣ס וְיָבֵ֗שׁכָּל־טַרְפֵּ֤י צִמְחָהּ֙ תִּיבָ֔שׁ וְלֹֽא־בִזְרֹ֤עַ גְּדֹולָה֙ וּבְעַם־רָ֔ב לְמַשְׂאֹ֥ות אֹותָ֖הּ מִשָּׁרָשֶֽׁיהָ׃
R
Say then, Thus says the Lord Jehovah, Will it thrive? Will he not pull up its roots and cut off its fruit so that it withers? All its fresh sprouting leaves will wither, even without great strength or a mighty people pulling it up from its roots.

Say thou, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Shall it prosper? shall he not pull up the roots thereof, and cut off the fruit thereof, that it wither? it shall wither in all the leaves of her spring, even without great power or many people to pluck it up by the roots thereof.

Say to them, 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Will it thrive? Will it not be uprooted and stripped of its fruit so that it withers? All its new growth will wither. It will not take a strong arm or many people to pull it up by the roots.

葡萄树虽然栽种了，岂能发旺呢？一经东风吹袭，岂不全然枯干么？它必在栽植的畦中枯干。

And indeed, though it has been transplanted, will it thrive? Will it not wither completely once the east wind touches it? In the beds where it was planted it will wither.

Say now to the rebellious house, Do you not know what these things mean? Say, Indeed the king of Babylon came to Jerusalem, and he took its king and its rulers and brought them to him at Babylon.

他却背叛巴比伦王，打发使者往埃及去，要他们给他马匹和多民。他岂能亨通呢？行这样事的人岂能逃脱呢？他背约岂能逃脱呢？

可是这人背叛了巴比伦王，差遣使者到埃及去，要得战马和大军。他能亨通吗？行这样事的人，怎能逃脱呢？他破坏条约，怎能逃脱呢？

但是耶路撒冷的君王却背叛了他，派使臣到埃及去，要求给他战马和大军。他作了这事，岂能顺利获得救援？他破坏了盟约，岂能幸免逃脱？

但他却背叛了巴王，反而差遣使者往埃及去，要他们给他马匹和许多兵丁。他哪能顺利成功呢？行这样事的人哪能逃脱呢？违反了盟约哪能逃脱呢？

וַיִּמְרָד־בֹּ֗ו לִשְׁלֹ֤חַ מַלְאָכָיו֙ מִצְרַ֔יִם לָֽתֶת־לֹ֥ו סוּסִ֖ים וְעַם־רָ֑ב הֲיִצְלָ֤ח הֲיִמָּלֵט֙ הָעֹשֵׂ֣ה אֵ֔לֶּהוְהֵפֵ֥ר בְּרִ֖ית וְנִמְלָֽט׃

But he rebelled against him by sending his messengers to Egypt that they might give him horses and many people. Will he prosper? Will he who does these things escape? Can he break the covenant and slip away?

But the king rebelled against him by sending his envoys to Egypt to get horses and a large army. Will he succeed? Will he who does such things escape? Will he break the treaty and yet escape?

主耶和华说，我指着我的生存起誓，他既轻看向王所起的誓，背弃王与他所立的约，就必要死在巴比伦，就是在那立他作王之巴比伦王的地方。

As I live, declares the Lord Jehovah, surely in the land of the king who made him king, whose oath he despised and whose covenant he broke, with him in the midst of Babylon he will die.

And Pharaoh with his mighty army and great company will not aid him in battle, when they cast up mounds and build siegeworks to cut off many lives.

Therefore thus says the Lord Jehovah, As I live, surely My oath, which he despised, and My covenant, which he broke, I will bring upon his head.

And I will spread My net over him, and he will be caught in My snare; and I will bring him to Babylon and will enter into judgment with him there concerning his unfaithfulness by which he has been unfaithful to Me.

And I will spread my net upon him, and he shall be taken in my snare, and I will bring him to Babylon, and will plead with him there for his trespass that he hath trespassed against me.

I will spread my net for him, and he will be caught in my snare. I will bring him to Babylon and execute judgment upon him there because he was unfaithful to me.

在他一切军队中，所有的精兵都必倒在刀下，所余剩的也必分散到四方；你们就知道我耶和华说话了。

And all his choice men with all his armies will fall by the sword, and those who are left will be scattered into every wind; and you will know that I, Jehovah, have spoken.

Thus says the Lord Jehovah, I will also take a twig from the lofty top of the cedar and will set it out; from the topmost of its young twigs I will crop off a tender one, and I will transplant it upon a high and prominent mountain.

Thus said the Lord Jehovah: I have taken of the foliage of the high cedar, And I have set it, From the top of its tender shoots a tender one I crop, And I -- I have planted it on a mountain high and lofty.

'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I myself will take a shoot from the very top of a cedar and plant it; I will break off a tender sprig from its topmost shoots and plant it on a high and lofty mountain.

On the high mountain of Israel I will transplant it; and it will bear branches and produce fruit and will become a magnificent cedar; and under it all birds of every kind will nest; in the shade of its branches they will nest.

In the mountain of the height of Israel will I plant it: and it shall bring forth boughs, and bear fruit, and be a goodly cedar: and under it shall dwell all fowl of every wing; in the shadow of the branches thereof shall they dwell.

upon the mountain of the height of Israel will I plant it; and it shall bring forth branches, and bear fruit, and become a noble cedar; and under it shall dwell all birds of every wing; in the shadow of the branches thereof shall they dwell.

In a mountain -- the high place of Israel, I plant it, And it hath borne boughs, and yielded fruit, And become a goodly cedar, And dwelt under it have all birds of every wing, In the shade of its thin shoots they dwell.

On the mountain heights of Israel I will plant it; it will produce branches and bear fruit and become a splendid cedar. Birds of every kind will nest in it; they will find shelter in the shade of its branches.

如此，田野间的一切树木都承认我是上主，都知道我曾使高大的树矮小，使矮小的树高大，使绿树枯萎，使枯木发绿；我上主言出必行。”

田野的树木就都知道我永恒主使高大的树矮小，矮小的树高大，使多汁的树枯干，枯干的树茂盛的。我永恒主说了，我必作成。”

田野的树木都必知道．我──雅威使高树矮小，使矮树高大，使青树枯干，使枯树发旺。我──雅威如此说，也如此行了。”

וְֽיָדְע֞וּ כָּל־עֲצֵ֣י הַשָּׂדֶ֗ה כִּ֣י אֲנִ֤י יְהוָה֙ הִשְׁפַּ֣לְתִּי׀ עֵ֣ץ גָּבֹ֗הַ הִגְבַּ֨הְתִּי֙ עֵ֣ץ שָׁפָ֔ל הֹובַ֨שְׁתִּי֙ עֵ֣ץלָ֔ח וְהִפְרַ֖חְתִּי עֵ֣ץ יָבֵ֑שׁ אֲנִ֥י יְהוָ֖ה דִּבַּ֥רְתִּי וְעָשִֽׂיתִי׃ פ

And all the trees of the field will know that I, Jehovah, have brought down the exalted tree and have exalted the lowly tree, that I have dried up the green tree and have made the dry tree bud. I, Jehovah, have spoken, and I will do it.

And all the trees of the field shall know that I the LORD have brought down the high tree, have exalted the low tree, have dried up the green tree, and have made the dry tree to flourish: I the LORD have spoken and have done it.

And all the trees of the field shall know that I Jehovah have brought down the high tree, have exalted the low tree, have dried up the green tree, and made the dry tree to flourish: I Jehovah have spoken, and will do [it].

And known have all trees of the field That I, Jehovah, have made low the high tree, I have set on high the low tree, I have dried up the moist tree, And I have caused the dry tree to flourish, I, Jehovah, have spoken, and have done it!'

All the trees of the field will know that I the LORD bring down the tall tree and make the low tree grow tall. I dry up the green tree and make the dry tree flourish. " 'I the LORD have spoken, and I will do it.' "
