But they were quiet. And He took hold of him and healed him and sent him away.

καὶ πρὸς αὐτοὺς εἶπεν, Τίνος ὑμῶν υἱὸς ἢ βοῦς εἰς φρέαρ πεσεῖται, καὶ οὐκ εὐθέως ἀνασπάσει αὐτὸν ἐν ἡμέρᾳ τοῦ σαββάτου;

And He said to them, Which of you having a donkey or an ox that falls into a well will not immediately pull it out on the Sabbath day?

And answered them, saying, Which of you shall have an ass or an ox fallen into a pit, and will not straightway pull him out on the sabbath day?

And answering he said to them, Of which of you shall an ass or ox fall into a well, that he does not straightway pull him up on the sabbath day?

and answering them he said, 'Of which of you shall an ass or ox fall into a pit, and he will not immediately draw it up on the sabbath-day?'
I  
Then he asked them, "If one of you has a son or an ox that falls into a well on the Sabbath day, will you not immediately pull him out?"

Ἔλεγεν δὲ πρὸς τοὺς κεκλημένους παραβολήν, ἐπέχων πῶς τὰς πρωτοκλισίας ἐξελέγοντο, λέγων πρὸς αὐτούς,

And He told a parable to those who had been invited, when He noticed how they were choosing the places of honor, saying to them,

And he put forth a parable to those which were bidden, when he marked how they chose out the chief rooms; saying unto them,

And he spoke a parable to those that were invited, remarking how they chose out the first places, saying to them,

And he spake a simile unto those called, marking how they were choosing out the first couches, saying unto them,

When he noticed how the guests picked the places of honor at the table, he told them this parable:

你被人请去赴婚筵,不要坐在首位上,恐怕有比你尊贵的被他请来;

“你被人请去赴婚姻的筵席,不要坐在首位上,恐怕有比你尊贵的客被他请来。

“你被邀请参加婚筵的时候,不要自己坐在高位上,恐怕有比你更尊贵的客人也被请来;

Ὅταν κληθῇς ὑπό τινος εἰς γάμους, μὴ κατακλιθῇς εἰς τὴν πρωτοκλισίαν, μήποτε ἐντιμότερός σου ᾖ κεκλημένος ὑπ᾽ αὐτοῦ,

When you are invited by anyone to a wedding feast, do not recline in the place of honor, lest someone more honorable than you may have been invited by him,

When thou art bidden of any man to a wedding, sit not down in the highest room; lest a more honourable man than thou be bidden of him;

When thou art invited by any one to a wedding, do not lay thyself down in the first place at table, lest perhaps a more honourable than thou be invited by him,

'When thou mayest be called by any one to marriage-feasts, thou mayest not recline on the first couch, lest a more honourable than thou may have been called by him,
I  
When someone invites you to a wedding feast, do not take the place of honor, for a person more distinguished than you may have been invited.

那请你们的人前来对你说,让座给这一位吧。你就羞羞惭惭地坐到末位上去了。

那请你也请他的会来对你说:‘请把位子让给这一位吧’;那时你就会羞惭惭地去取末位了。

那请你和他的(主人)前来对你说:‘你让位给这一位吧!’那时你才怀着羞愧退居末位。

καὶ ἐλθὼν ὁ σὲ καὶ αὐτὸν καλέσας ἐρεῖ σοι, Δὸς τούτῳ τόπον, καὶ τότε ἄρξῃ μετὰ αἰσχύνης τὸν ἔσχατον τόπον κατέχειν.

And he who invited you and him come and say to you, Give this one that place; and then you begin with shame to occupy the last place.
K  
And he that bade thee and him come and say to thee, Give this man place; and thou begin with shame to take the lowest room.

and he who invited thee and him come and say to thee, Give place to this [man], and then thou begin with shame to take the last place.

and he who did call thee and him having come shall say to thee, Give to this one place, and then thou mayest begin with shame to occupy the last place.

If so, the host who invited both of you will come and say to you, 'Give this man your seat.' Then, humiliated, you will have to take the least important place.

你被请的时候,要去坐在末位上,好叫那请你的人来,对你说,朋友,请上坐。那时你在同席的人面前就有光采了。

你被请的时候,就去坐在末位上,好叫那请你的人来对你说:‘朋友,请上坐。’那时,你在同席的人面前就有光彩了。

你被邀请的时候,要坐在末位上,等请你的人过来对你说:‘朋友,请上座。’那时你在同席的人面前才有光彩。

你几时被请,应去坐末席,等那请你的人走来给你说:朋友,请上坐吧!那时,在你同席的众人面前,你才有光彩。

ἀλλ᾽ ὅταν κληθῇς, πορευθεὶς ἀνάπεσε εἰς τὸν ἔσχατον τόπον, ἵνα ὅταν ἔλθῃ ὁ κεκληκώς σε ἐρεῖ σοι, Φίλε, προσ­ανάβηθι ἀνώτερον· τότε ἔσται σοι δόξα ἐνώπιον πάντων τῶν συνανακειμένων σοι.
R  
But when you are invited, go and recline in the last place, so that when the one who has invited you comes, he may say to you, Friend, come up higher. Then you will have glory before all those reclining with you.
K  
But when thou art bidden, go and sit down in the lowest room; that when he that bade thee cometh, he may say unto thee, Friend, go up higher: then shalt thou have worship in the presence of them that sit at meat with thee.

But when thou hast been invited, go and put thyself down in the last place, that when he who has invited thee comes, he may say to thee, Friend, go up higher: then shalt thou have honour before all that are lying at table with thee;

'But, when thou mayest be called, having gone on, recline in the last place, that when he who called thee may come, he may say to thee, Friend, come up higher; then thou shalt have glory before those reclining with thee;
I  
But when you are invited, take the lowest place, so that when your host comes, he will say to you, 'Friend, move up to a better place.' Then you will be honored in the presence of all your fellow guests.

因为凡高抬自己的,必降为卑;降卑自己的,必升为高。

因为凡自高的,必降为卑;自卑的,必升为高。”

For everyone who exalts himself shall be humbled, and he who humbles himself shall be exalted.

For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
D  
for every one that exalts himself shall be abased, and he that abases himself shall be exalted.
Y  
because every one who is exalting himself shall be humbled, and he who is humbling himself shall be exalted.'
I  
For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted."

耶稣又对请祂的人说,你摆设午饭或晚饭,不要请你的朋友、弟兄、亲属和富足的邻舍,恐怕他们也回请你,你就得了报答。

耶稣又对请他的人说:“你摆设午饭或晚饭,不要请你的朋友、弟兄、亲属和富足的邻舍,恐怕他们也请你,你就得了报答。

耶稣又对邀请他的人说:“你准备午饭或晚饭,不要邀请你的朋友、也不要(邀请)你的弟兄、也不要(邀请)你的亲属,也不要(邀请)富足的邻舍,免得他们也回请你,你就得了报答。

Ἔλεγεν δὲ καὶ τῷ κεκληκότι αὐτόν, Ὅταν ποιῇς ἄριστον ἢ δεῖπνον, μὴ φώνει τοὺς φίλους σου μηδὲ τοὺς ἀδελφούς σου μηδὲ τοὺς συγγενεῖς σου μηδὲ γείτονας πλουσίους, μήποτε καὶ αὐτοὶ ἀντικαλέσωσίν σε καὶ γένηται ἀνταπόδομά σοι.

And He said also to the one who had invited Him, When you make a morning meal or a dinner, do not call your friends or your brothers or your relatives or rich neighbors, lest they also invite you in return and it become a repayment to you.

Then said he also to him that bade him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, neither thy kinsmen, nor thy rich neighbours; lest they also bid thee again, and a recompence be made thee.

And he said also to him that had invited him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, nor thy kinsfolk, nor rich neighbours, lest it may be they also should invite thee in return, and a recompense be made thee.

And he said also to him who did call him, 'When thou mayest make a dinner or a supper, be not calling thy friends, nor thy brethren, nor thy kindred, nor rich neighbours, lest they may also call thee again, and a recompense may come to thee;
I  
Then Jesus said to his host, "When you give a luncheon or dinner, do not invite your friends, your brothers or relatives, or your rich neighbors; if you do, they may invite you back and so you will be repaid.

你摆设筵席,倒要请那贫穷的、残废的、瘸腿的、瞎眼的,你就有福了,

But when you give a reception, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind,

因为他们没有可报答你的;在义人复活的时候,你要得着报答。

那你就有福了。因为他们没有什么可以报答你,义人复活的时候,你必定得着报答。”

καὶ μακάριος ἔσῃ, ὅτι οὐκ ἔχουσιν ἀνταποδοῦναί σοι, ἀνταποδοθήσεται γάρ σοι ἐν τῇ ἀναστάσει τῶν δικαίων.

And you will be blessed, because they do not have anything with which to repay you; for it will be repaid to you in the resurrection of the righteous.
K  
And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just.

and thou shalt be blessed; for they have not [the means] to recompense thee; for it shall be recompensed thee in the resurrection of the just.

and happy thou shalt be, because they have not to recompense thee, for it shall be recompensed to thee in the rising again of the righteous.'

and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous."

同席的有一人听见这话,就对耶稣说,在神国里吃饭的有福了。

一起吃饭的人中有一个,听了这些话,就对耶稣说:“在神的国里吃饭的人有福了。”

有一个同席的人听了这些话,就向耶稣说:“将来能在天主的国里吃饭的,才是有福的!”

一同坐席的有一个人听了这些话,就对耶稣说:“在上帝国里吃饭的有福啊!”

同席的有一人听见这些(话),就对他(指耶稣)说:“无论谁在神国里吃饭的(是)有福了!”

Ἀκούσας δέ τις τῶν συνανακειμένων ταῦτα εἶπεν αὐτῷ, Μακάριος ὅστις φάγεται ἄρτον ἐν τῇ βασιλείᾳ τοῦ θεοῦ.

And one of those reclining at table with Him, hearing these things, said to Him, Blessed is he who shall eat bread in the kingdom of God.

And when one of them that sat at meat with him heard these things, he said unto him, Blessed is he that shall eat bread in the kingdom of God.

And one of those that were lying at table with [them], hearing these things, said to him, Blessed [is] he who shall eat bread in the kingdom of God.

And one of those reclining with him, having heard these things, said to him, 'Happy is he who shall eat bread in the reign of God;'

When one of those at the table with him heard this, he said to Jesus, "Blessed is the man who will eat at the feast in the kingdom of God."

And He said to him, A certain man was making a great dinner and invited many;

Then said he unto him, A certain man made a great supper, and bade many:

And he said to him, A certain man made a great supper and invited many.

and he said to him, 'A certain man made a great supper, and called many,

Jesus replied: "A certain man was preparing a great banquet and invited many guests.

到了坐席的时候,打发奴仆去对所请的人说,请来吧,样样都齐备了。

καὶ ἀπέστειλεν τὸν δοῦλον αὐτοῦ τῇ ὥρᾳ τοῦ δείπνου εἰπεῖν τοῖς κεκλημένοις, Ἔρχεσθε, ὅτι ἤδη ἕτοιμά ἐστιν.

And he sent his slave at the dinner hour to say to those who had been invited, Come, for all things are now ready.

And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready.

And he sent his bondman at the hour of supper to say to those who were invited, Come, for already all things are ready.

and he sent his servant at the hour of the supper to say to those having been called, Be coming, because now are all things ready.

At the time of the banquet he sent his servant to tell those who had been invited, 'Come, for everything is now ready.'

众人一致推辞。头一个对他说,我买了一块地,必须去看看,请你准我辞了。
