一日，撒乌耳正坐在基贝亚高处的一棵柽柳下，手里拿着枪，他的臣仆都侍立左右，听说达味和跟随他的人已联合起来，

扫罗就对侍立在他周围的臣仆说：“便雅悯人哪，你们要听！耶西的儿子能把田地和葡萄园赐给你们各人吗？他能立你们各人作千夫长、作百夫长吗？

遂对侍立他左右的臣仆说：“本雅明的子孙，你们听：难道叶瑟的儿子也要赐给你们每人庄田和葡萄园，或把你们都立为千夫长或百夫长，

扫罗就对左右侍立的臣仆说：“便雅悯人哪，你们听吧！耶西的儿子不但要将田地和葡萄园赐给你们各人！也要立你们各人做千夫长或百夫长呢！

扫罗就对侍立在他旁边的他的臣仆们说：“听啊，便雅悯人，耶西的儿子也能将田地和葡萄园赐给你们各人(吗？)能立你们各人作千夫长和百夫长(吗？)

וַיֹּ֣אמֶר שָׁא֗וּל לַֽעֲבָדָיו֙ הַנִּצָּבִ֣ים עָלָ֔יו שִׁמְעוּ־נָ֖א בְּנֵ֣י יְמִינִ֑י גַּם־לְכֻלְּכֶ֗ם יִתֵּ֤ן בֶּן־יִשַׁי֙ שָׂדֹ֣ותוּכְרָמִ֔ים לְכֻלְּכֶ֣ם יָשִׂ֔ים שָׂרֵ֥י אֲלָפִ֖ים וְשָׂרֵ֥י מֵאֹֽות׃

And Saul said to his servants standing around him, Hear now, you Benjaminites: Will the son of Jesse give every one of you fields and vineyards, will he make every one of you captains of thousands and captains of hundreds,

你们竟都结党害我；我的儿子与耶西的儿子结盟的时候，无人告诉我；我的儿子挑唆我的臣仆谋害我，就如今日的光景，你们也无人告诉我，为我忧虑。

你们竟都结党害我；我的儿子与耶西的儿子结盟的时候，无人告诉我；我的儿子挑唆我的臣子谋害我，就如今日的光景，也无人告诉我，为我忧虑。”

你们竟都同谋陷害我。我的儿子与耶西的儿子立盟约的时候，没有人告诉我；我的儿子挑唆我的臣仆陷害我，就像今天一样，你们中间也没有人关心我，告诉我。”

好使你们都同谋来陷害我？我的儿子和叶瑟的儿子结盟，谁也没有告诉我；我的儿子煽动我的臣仆来反对我，仇视我，像今日一样，你们中没有一个人怜恤我，来通知我！”

你们竟共谋来害我；我儿子同耶西的儿子结盟的时候、也没有人向我披露；我儿子鼓动我的臣仆做仇敌（传统：埋伏）来害我，就如今日的光景，你们中间也没有人顾惜（传统：病）我、而向我披露！”

你们各人竟都结党害我，…无人揭开我的耳朵(意思是告诉我)；我的儿子与耶西的儿子结盟的时候，…也无人揭开我的耳朵，为我忧虑！”我的儿子挑唆我的臣子谋害我，就如今日的光景，

כִּי֩ קְשַׁרְתֶּ֨ם כֻּלְּכֶ֜ם עָלַ֗י וְאֵין־גֹּלֶ֤ה אֶת־אָזְנִי֙ בִּכְרָת־בְּנִ֣י עִם־בֶּן־יִשַׁ֔י וְאֵין־חֹלֶ֥ה מִכֶּ֛ם עָלַ֖יוְגֹלֶ֣ה אֶת־אָזְנִ֑י כִּ֣י הֵקִים֩ בְּנִ֨י אֶת־עַבְדִּ֥י עָלַ֛י לְאֹרֵ֖ב כַּיֹּ֥ום הַזֶּֽה׃ ס

That every one of you has conspired against me, so that no one discloses it to me when my son makes a covenant with the son of Jesse, and none of you is sorry for me or discloses it to me when my son stirs up my servant against me to ambush me as on this day?

That all of you have conspired against me, and there is none that sheweth me that my son hath made a league with the son of Jesse, and there is none of you that is sorry for me, or sheweth unto me that my son hath stirred up my servant against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?

that all of you have conspired against me, and there is none that informs me when my son has made [a covenant] with the son of Jesse; and there is none of you that is sorry for me, or informs me that my son has stirred up my servant as a lier-in-wait against me, as at this day?

for ye have conspired all of you against me, and there is none uncovering mine ear about my son's covenanting with the son of Jesse, and there is none of you grieving for me, and uncovering mine ear, that my son hath raised up my servant against me, to lie in wait as at this day.'

Is that why you have all conspired against me? No one tells me when my son makes a covenant with the son of Jesse. None of you is concerned about me or tells me that my son has incited my servant to lie in wait for me, as he does today."

那时被立管理扫罗臣仆的以东人多益回答说，我曾看见耶西的儿子到了挪伯，亚希突的儿子亚希米勒那里。

那时以东人多益站在扫罗的臣仆中，对他说：“我曾看见耶西的儿子到了挪伯亚希突的儿子亚希米勒那里。

那时以东人多益与扫罗的臣仆侍立在那里，他回答说：“我曾看见耶西的儿子到了挪伯亚希突的儿子亚希米勒那里。

作撒乌耳臣仆之长的厄东人多厄格就答说：“我看见叶瑟的儿子到过诺布，去见阿希突布的儿子阿希默肋客。

那时以东人多益侍立在扫罗的臣仆们左右、应声地说：“我曾看见耶西的儿子往挪伯去、到了亚希突的儿子亚希米勒那里。

那时以东人多益，…回答他站在扫罗的臣仆中，说：“我曾看见耶西的儿子．到了挪伯，到亚希突的儿子亚希米勒那里；

וַיַּ֜עַן דֹּאֵ֣ג הָאֲדֹמִ֗י וְה֛וּא נִצָּ֥ב עַל־עַבְדֵֽי־שָׁא֖וּל וַיֹּאמַ֑ר רָאִ֨יתִי֙ אֶת־בֶּן־יִשַׁ֔י בָּ֣א נֹ֔בֶהאֶל־אֲחִימֶ֖לֶךְ בֶּן־אֲחִטֽוּב׃

Then Doeg the Edomite, who was set over Saul's servants, answered and said, I saw the son of Jesse coming to Ahimelech the son of Ahitub at Nob.

And he inquired of Jehovah for him and gave him provisions, and he gave him the sword of Goliath the Philistine.

王就打发人将祭司亚希突的儿子亚希米勒、和他父亲全家、在挪伯的祭司们、都召了来；他们就都来见王。

王就派人…召来，将亚希突的儿子亚希米勒祭司．和他父亲的全家，就是(住)挪伯的祭司们．他们就全都来到王那里，

וַיִּשְׁלַ֣ח הַמֶּ֡לֶךְ לִקְרֹא֩ אֶת־אֲחִימֶ֨לֶךְ בֶּן־אֲחִיט֜וּב הַכֹּהֵ֗ן וְאֵ֨ת כָּל־בֵּ֥ית אָבִ֛יו הַכֹּהֲנִ֖ים אֲשֶׁ֣רבְּנֹ֑ב וַיָּבֹ֥אוּ כֻלָּ֖ם אֶל־הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ ס

Then the king sent men to call Ahimelech the priest, the son of Ahitub, and all his father's house, the priests who were in Nob. And all of them came to the king.

扫罗对他说：“你为什么和耶西的儿子共谋来害我，将食物和刀给他，又为他求问上帝，鼓动他做仇敌（传统：埋伏）来害我，就如今日的光景呢？”

扫罗对他说：“你为什么与耶西的儿子结党害我，将食物和刀给他，又为他求问神，使他起来谋害我，如今日的光景？”

וַיֹּ֤אמֶר אֵלֹו שָׁא֔וּל לָ֚מָּה קְשַׁרְתֶּ֣ם עָלַ֔י אַתָּ֖ה וּבֶן־יִשָׁ֑י בְּתִתְּךָ֙ לֹ֜ו לֶ֣חֶם וְחֶ֗רֶב וְשָׁאֹ֥ול לֹו֙בֵּֽאלֹהִ֔ים לָק֥וּם אֵלַ֛י לְאֹרֵ֖ב כַּיֹּ֥ום הַזֶּֽה׃ ס

And Saul said to him, Why have you conspired against me, you and the son of Jesse, in that you have given him food and a sword, and have inquired of God for him, so that he rises up against me to ambush me as on this day?

And Saul said unto him, Why have ye conspired against me, thou and the son of Jesse, in that thou hast given him bread, and a sword, and hast enquired of God for him, that he should rise against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?

And Saul said to him, Why have ye conspired against me, thou and the son of Jesse, in that thou hast given him bread, and a sword, and hast inquired of God for him, that he should rise against me as a lier-in-wait, as at this day?

And Saul saith unto him, 'Why have ye conspired against me, thou and the son of Jesse, by thy giving to him bread and a sword, and to ask for him at God, to rise against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?'

Saul said to him, "Why have you conspired against me, you and the son of Jesse, giving him bread and a sword and inquiring of God for him, so that he has rebelled against me and lies in wait for me, as he does today?"

亚希米勒回答王说，王的众臣仆中有谁像大卫那样忠信呢？他是王的女婿，又是王的参谋，并且在王家中是尊贵的。

阿希默肋客答复君王说：“在你的臣仆中，有谁如达味那样忠诚可靠呢？他是大王的女婿，又是护卫长，在你朝廷中是最受重视的人。

亚希米勒回答王说：“在王的众臣仆中有谁像大卫那么忠信可靠呢？他是王的女婿，又是王的卫队长（传统：并且转离去听从你），在王的家中又是受尊重的。

亚希米勒回答王说：“王所有臣仆中谁像大卫那样忠心呢？(他是)王的女婿，又转任你的侍卫，并且在你宫中是尊贵的，

וַיַּ֧עַן אֲחִימֶ֛לֶךְ אֶת־הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ וַיֹּאמַ֑ר וּמִ֤י בְכָל־עֲבָדֶ֨יךָ֙ כְּדָוִ֣ד נֶאֱמָ֔ן וַחֲתַ֥ן הַמֶּ֛לֶךְ וְסָ֥ראֶל־מִשְׁמַעְתֶּ֖ךָ וְנִכְבָּ֥ד בְּבֵיתֶֽךָ׃

And Ahimelech answered the king and said, And who among all your servants is as faithful as David, who is the king's son-in-law and has access to your council and is honored in your house?

Then Ahimelech answered the king, and said, And who is so faithful among all thy servants as David, which is the king's son in law, and goeth at thy bidding, and is honourable in thine house?

And Ahimelech answered the king and said, And who is so faithful among all thy servants as David, who is the king's son-in-law, and has access to thy secret council, and is honourable in thy house?

And Ahimelech answereth the king and saith, 'And who among all thy servants is as David -- faithful, and son-in-law of the king, and hath turned aside unto thy council, and is honoured in thy house?

Ahimelech answered the king, "Who of all your servants is as loyal as David, the king's son-in-law, captain of your bodyguard and highly respected in your household?

我岂是从今日才为他求问神呢？断不是这样！王不要归咎于仆人，和仆人父亲的全家；因为这整件事，无论大小，仆人都不知道。

我岂是今天才开始为他求问神的呢？绝对不是。请王不要归罪于我和我父的全家，因为这整件事无论大小，我都不知道。”

难道我是今天才开始为他求问天主吗？决不是！请大王不要加害自己的仆人和我父全家，因为你仆人一点也不知道这事。”

我哪里是今天才开始为他求问上帝呢？绝对不是：王不要将罪归仆人和仆人父亲全家；因为这一切事、无论大小、仆人全不知道。”

我岂是今日才开始为他求问神呢？我断不是这样。王不要将这件事归咎于他(指王)的仆人．和我父的全家，因为…你的仆人都不知道。”这一切事，无论小或大，

הַיֹּ֧ום הַחִלֹּ֛תִי לְשָׁאוּל לֹ֥ו בֵאלֹהִ֖ים חָלִ֣ילָה לִּ֑י אַל־יָשֵׂם֩ הַמֶּ֨לֶךְ בְּעַבְדֹּ֤ו דָבָר֙ בְּכָל־בֵּ֣ית אָבִ֔יכִּ֠י לֹֽא־יָדַ֤ע עַבְדְּךָ֙ בְּכָל־זֹ֔את דָּבָ֥ר קָטֹ֖ן אֹ֥ו גָדֹֽול׃

Was it just today that I began to inquire of God for him? Far be it from me! May the king not impute anything to his servant nor to all my father's house, for your servant knows nothing of this matter, small or great.

Did I then begin to enquire of God for him? be it far from me: let not the king impute any thing unto his servant, nor to all the house of my father: for thy servant knew nothing of all this, less or more.

Was it to-day that I began to inquire of God for him? be it far from me: let not the king charge anything to his servant, [nor] to all the house of my father; for thy servant knew nothing of all this, less or more.

To-day have I begun to ask for him at God? far be it from me! let not the king lay anything against his servant, against any of the house of my father, for thy servant hath known nothing of all this, less or more.'

Was that day the first time I inquired of God for him? Of course not! Let not the king accuse your servant or any of his father's family, for your servant knows nothing at all about this whole affair."

王说，亚希米勒啊，你和你父亲的全家都是该死的。

But the king said, You shall surely die, Ahimelech, you and all your father's house.

And the king said, Thou shalt surely die, Ahimelech, thou, and all thy father's house.

And the king said, Thou shalt certainly die, Ahimelech, thou, and all thy father's house.

And the king saith, 'Thou dost surely die, Ahimelech, thou, and all the house of thy father.'

But the king said, "You will surely die, Ahimelech, you and your father's whole family."

王就对左右侍立的护卫兵说，你们转过去杀耶和华的祭司，因为他们与大卫联手，又知道大卫逃跑，竟没有告诉我。王的臣仆却不肯伸手杀耶和华的祭司。

王就吩咐左右的侍卫说：“你们去杀耶和华的祭司，因为他们帮助大卫，又知道大卫逃跑，竟没有告诉我。”扫罗的臣子却不肯伸手杀耶和华的祭司。

王就对侍立在他周围的卫兵说：“你们转过去，把耶和华的祭司杀死，因为他们与大卫携手，又因为他们知道大卫逃跑，也不告诉我。”但王的臣仆不愿下手杀害耶和华的祭司。

王遂吩咐立在他左右的侍卫说：“你们过去，杀死上主的司祭！因为他们与达味携手，知道他逃跑，却不来告诉我。”但是君王的臣仆不敢下手杀上主的司祭。

王就对侍立左右的卫兵说：“你们转身去把永恒主的祭司杀死；因为他们也和大卫携手；他们知道大卫逃跑，也没有向我披露。”扫罗的臣仆却不情愿伸手把永恒主的祭司杀掉。

王就对奔跑侍立在他旁边的人说：“你们转身去杀雅威的祭司，因为他们的手也帮助大卫，他们知道他(指大卫)逃跑，竟没有揭开我的耳朵(意思是告诉我)。”王的臣仆却不肯．伸他们的手去杀雅威的祭司。

וַיֹּ֣אמֶר הַמֶּ֡לֶךְ לָרָצִים֩ הַנִּצָּבִ֨ים עָלָ֜יו סֹ֥בּוּ וְהָמִ֣יתוּ׀ כֹּהֲנֵ֣י יְהוָ֗ה כִּ֤י גַם־יָדָם֙ עִם־דָּוִ֔ד וְכִ֤ייָֽדְעוּ֙ כִּֽי־בֹרֵ֣חַ ה֔וּא וְלֹ֥א גָל֖וּ אֶת־אָזְנֹו וְלֹֽא־אָב֞וּ עַבְדֵ֤י הַמֶּ֨לֶךְ֙ לִשְׁלֹ֣חַ אֶת־יָדָ֔ם לִפְגֹ֖עַ בְּכֹהֲנֵ֥ייְהוָֽה׃ ס

Then the king said to the runners who were standing around him, Turn, and kill the priests of Jehovah, because their hand is also with David, and because they knew that he was fleeing and they did not disclose it to me. But the king's servants would not put forth their hand to attack the priests of Jehovah.

And the king said unto the footmen that stood about him, Turn, and slay the priests of the LORD; because their hand also is with David, and because they knew when he fled, and did not shew it to me. But the servants of the king would not put forth their hand to fall upon the priests of the LORD.

And the king said to the couriers that stood about him, Turn and put the priests of Jehovah to death; because their hand also is with David, and because they knew when he fled, and did not inform me. But the servants of the king were not willing to put forth their hand to fall on the priests of Jehovah.

And the king saith to runners, those standing by him, 'Turn round, and put to death the priests of Jehovah, because their hand also is with David, and because they have known that he is fleeing, and have not uncovered mine ear;' and the servants of the king have not been willing to put forth their hand to come against the priests of Jehovah.

Then the king ordered the guards at his side: "Turn and kill the priests of the Lord , because they too have sided with David. They knew he was fleeing, yet they did not tell me." But the king's officials were not willing to raise a hand to strike the priests of the Lord .

王对多益说，你转过去杀祭司吧。以东人多益就转过去杀祭司，那日杀了穿细麻布以弗得的八十五人；

王吩咐多益说：“你去杀祭司吧！”以东人多益就去杀祭司，那日杀了穿细麻布以弗得的八十五人；

于是王对多益说：“你转过去把祭司击杀。”以东人多益就转过去把祭司击杀了。那一天，他杀了八十五个穿以弗得的人，

王遂对多厄格说：“你过去杀死司祭！”厄东人多厄格就过去杀死了司祭。那一天他杀了八十五位身穿细麻‘厄弗得’的人。

于是王对多益说：“你转身去把祭司杀掉。”以东人多益就转身去把祭司杀掉；那一天他杀死了八十五个人、都是带着神谕像的。

王对多益说：“你转过去杀祭司吧。”以东人多益就转过去，他杀了祭司，那日他杀死…八十五人；穿细麻布以弗得的

And the king said to Doeg, You turn, and attack the priests. And Doeg the Edomite turned, and he attacked the priests. And on that day he killed eighty-five men who wore the linen ephod.

And the king said to Doeg, Turn thou, and fall upon the priests. And Doeg the Edomite turned, and he fell upon the priests, and slew on that day fourscore and five persons that did wear a linen ephod.

And the king said to Doeg, Turn thou, and fall on the priests. And Doeg the Edomite turned, and fell on the priests, and put to death that day eighty-five persons who wore the linen ephod.

The king then ordered Doeg, "You turn and strike down the priests." So Doeg the Edomite turned and struck them down. That day he killed eighty-five men who wore the linen ephod.

又用刀攻击祭司城挪伯，将城中的男女、孩童、吃奶的，和牛、驴、羊，尽都用刀杀灭。

又把祭司城挪伯击杀在刀口下，从男到女，从孩童到吃奶的，牛、羊、驴(都送入)刀口。

וְאֵ֨ת נֹ֤ב עִיר־הַכֹּֽהֲנִים֙ הִכָּ֣ה לְפִי־חֶ֔רֶב מֵאִישׁ֙ וְעַד־אִשָּׁ֔ה מֵעֹולֵ֖ל וְעַד־יֹונֵ֑ק וְשֹׁ֧ור וַחֲמֹ֛ורוָשֶׂ֖ה לְפִי־חָֽרֶב׃

And he struck Nob, the city of the priests, with the edge of the sword, both men and women, infants and sucklings, and oxen and asses and sheep, with the edge of the sword.

And David said to Abiathar, I knew on that day when Doeg the Edomite was there that he would surely tell Saul. I am responsible for all the lives of your father's house.
