扫罗对背他兵器的人说：“拔出你的刀来，用它(原文用阴性，下同)将我刺死，免得那些未受割礼的人来刺我，凌辱我。”但背他兵器的人因甚惧怕而不肯；扫罗就拿刀，自己伏在它上面死了。
