But God came to Abimelech in a dream by night and said to him, You are now about to die because of the woman whom you have taken, for she is a man's wife.

And God said to him in the dream, Yes, I know that in the integrity of your heart you have done this, and I also prevented you from sinning against Me; therefore I did not let you touch her.

And God said unto him in a dream, Yea, I know that thou didst this in the integrity of thy heart; for I also withheld thee from sinning against me: therefore suffered I thee not to touch her.

Then God said to him in the dream, "Yes, I know you did this with a clear conscience, and so I have kept you from sinning against me. That is why I did not let you touch her.

Now therefore return the man's wife, for he is a prophet; and he will pray for you, and you will live. But if you do not return her, know that you shall surely die, you and all who are yours.

Then Abimelech called Abraham and said to him, What have you done to us? And how have I sinned against you, that you have brought on me and on my kingdom a great sin? You have done to me things that ought not to be done.

Then Abimelech called Abraham, and said unto him, What hast thou done unto us? and what have I offended thee, that thou hast brought on me and on my kingdom a great sin? thou hast done deeds unto me that ought not to be done.

Then Abimelech called Abraham in and said, "What have you done to us? How have I wronged you that you have brought such great guilt upon me and my kingdom? You have done things to me that should not be done."

And Abimelech said to Abraham, What were you thinking, that you have done this thing?

And Abimelech said unto Abraham, What sawest thou, that thou hast done this thing?

Abimelech also saith unto Abraham, 'What hast thou seen that thou hast done this thing?'

וַיֹּ֨אמֶר֙ אַבְרָהָ֔ם כִּ֣י אָמַ֗רְתִּי רַ֚ק אֵין־יִרְאַ֣ת אֱלֹהִ֔ים בַּמָּקֹ֖ום הַזֶּ֑ה וַהֲרָג֖וּנִי עַל־דְּבַ֥ר אִשְׁתִּֽי׃
R
And Abraham said, Because I thought, Surely there is no fear of God in this place, and they will slay me because of my wife.

And Abraham said, Because I thought, Surely the fear of God is not in this place; and they will slay me for my wife's sake.

And when God caused me to wander from my father's house, I said to her, This is your kindness which you must do to me: At every place where we go, say of me, He is my brother.

亚比米勒取了些牛羊、仆婢，送给亚伯拉罕，又把亚伯拉罕的妻子撒拉还给他。

וַיִּקַּ֨ח אֲבִימֶ֜לֶךְ צֹ֣אן וּבָקָ֗ר וַעֲבָדִים֙ וּשְׁפָחֹ֔ת וַיִּתֵּ֖ן לְאַבְרָהָ֑ם וַיָּ֣שֶׁב לֹ֔ו אֵ֖ת שָׂרָ֥ה אִשְׁתֹּֽו׃
R
Then Abimelech took sheep and oxen and male servants and female servants, and gave them to Abraham; and he returned Sarah his wife to him.

And Abimelech took sheep, and oxen, and menservants, and womenservants, and gave them unto Abraham, and restored him Sarah his wife.

Then Abimelech brought sheep and cattle and male and female slaves and gave them to Abraham, and he returned Sarah his wife to him.

亚比米勒又说，看哪，我的地都在你面前，你可以随意居住；
和
亚比米勒又说：“看哪，我的地都在你面前，你可以随意居住。”

亚比米勒说：“看哪，我的国土都在你面前，你喜欢哪里，就住在哪里吧。”
思
然后对他说：“看，我的土地尽在你面前，你愿住在那里，就住在那里。”
吕
亚比米勒又说：“看哪，我的地都在你面前；你看哪里好，就住在哪里。”
直
亚比米勒又说：“看哪，我的地都在你面前，请你住在你眼中所看为好的地方。”

וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֲבִימֶ֔לֶךְ הִנֵּ֥ה אַרְצִ֖י לְפָנֶ֑יךָ בַּטֹּ֥וב בְּעֵינֶ֖יךָ שֵֽׁב׃
R
And Abimelech said, My land is now before you; dwell wherever it pleases you.

And Abimelech said, Behold, my land is before thee: dwell where it pleaseth thee.

And Abimelech said, Behold, my land is before thee: dwell where it is good in thine eyes.

and Abimelech saith, 'Lo, my land is before thee, where it is good in thine eyes, dwell;'
I
And Abimelech said, "My land is before you; live wherever you like."

又对撒拉说，我给你哥哥一千锭银子，作为你在全家人面前遮羞的，你就在各方面没有不是了。
和
又对撒拉说：“我给你哥哥一千银子，作为你在阖家人面前遮羞的（“羞”原文作“眼”），你就在众人面前没有不是了。”
新
他又对撒拉说：“看哪，我给了你哥哥一千银子，作你在全家人面前的遮羞钱。这样，你在众人面前就算清白了。”
思
继而对撒辣说：“看，我给了你哥哥一千银子，作为你在阖家人前的遮羞钱；这样，各方面无可指摘。”
吕
对撒拉他也说：“看哪，我把一千锭银子给你哥哥，做你在全家人面前‘遮羞眼’的钱，你就在众人面前没有不是了。”
直
他又对撒拉说：“瞧！我给了你哥哥一千银子，它要在所有与你同在的人前作妳的遮眼的，在所有的人

וּלְשָׂרָ֣ה אָמַ֗ר הִנֵּ֨ה נָתַ֜תִּי אֶ֤לֶף כֶּ֨סֶף֙ לְאָחִ֔יךְ הִנֵּ֤ה הוּא־לָךְ֙ כְּס֣וּת עֵינַ֔יִם לְכֹ֖ל אֲשֶׁ֣ר אִתָּ֑ךְוְאֵ֥ת כֹּ֖ל וְנֹכָֽחַת׃
R
And to Sarah he said, I have now given your brother a thousand pieces of silver. It is now your vindication in the eyes of all who are with you. And in every respect you have been cleared.

And unto Sarah he said, Behold, I have given thy brother a thousand pieces of silver: behold, he is to thee a covering of the eyes, unto all that are with thee, and with all other: thus she was reproved.

And to Sarah he said, Behold, I have given thy brother a thousand [pieces] of silver; behold, let that be to thee a covering of the eyes, in respect of all that are with thee, and with all; and she was reproved.

and to Sarah he hath said, 'Lo, I have given a thousand silverlings to thy brother; lo, it is to thee a covering of eyes, to all who are with thee;' and by all this she is reasoned with.
I
To Sarah he said, "I am giving your brother a thousand shekels of silver. This is to cover the offense against you before all who are with you; you are completely vindicated."

And Abraham prayed to God; and God healed Abimelech and his wife and his female servants, so that they bore children.

כִּֽי־עָצֹ֤ר עָצַר֙ יְהוָ֔ה בְּעַ֥ד כָּל־רֶ֖חֶם לְבֵ֣ית אֲבִימֶ֑לֶךְ עַל־דְּבַ֥ר שָׂרָ֖ה אֵ֥שֶׁת אַבְרָהָֽם׃ ס
R
For Jehovah had completely shut up all the wombs of the house of Abimelech because of Sarah, Abraham's wife.

For the LORD had fast closed up all the wombs of the house of Abimelech, because of Sarah Abraham's wife.
