Shall your empty talk silence men? / And will you mock, and there be none to shame you?

Should thy lies make men hold their peace? and when thou mockest, shall no man make thee ashamed?

Should thy fictions make men hold their peace? and shouldest thou mock, and no one make [thee] ashamed?

Thy devices make men keep silent, Thou scornest, and none is causing blushing!

Will your idle talk reduce men to silence? Will no one rebuke you when you mock?

For you say, My doctrine is pure, / And I am clean in Your eyes.

将智慧隐藏的秘密告诉你,说智慧对谋略成功有奇妙的(传统:双倍)果效。所以你要知道:你的罪孽、上帝不全记算。

愿祂将智慧的奥秘指示你;因为智识是两面的。你当知道,神使你忘记你的一些罪孽。

וְיַגֶּד־לְךָ֨׀ תַּֽעֲלֻמֹ֣ות חָכְמָה֮ כִּֽי־כִפְלַ֪יִם לְֽת֫וּשִׁיָּ֥ה וְדַ֡ע כִּֽי־יַשֶּׁ֥ה לְךָ֥ אֱ֝לֹ֗והַ מֵעֲוֹנֶֽךָ׃
R  
And that He would tell you the secrets of wisdom! / For there are two sides to sound reason. / Know then that God has forgotten some of your iniquity.

And that he would shew thee the secrets of wisdom, that they are double to that which is! Know therefore that God exacteth of thee less than thine iniquity deserveth.

And that he would shew thee the secrets of wisdom, how that they are the double of what is realised; and know that +God passeth by [much] of thine iniquity!

And declare to thee secrets of wisdom, For counsel hath foldings. And know thou that God forgetteth for thee, Some of thine iniquity.

and disclose to you the secrets of wisdom, for true wisdom has two sides. Know this: God has even forgotten some of your sin.

Can you find out the depths of God? / Can you find out the limit of the Almighty?

Canst thou by searching find out God? canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection?

祂本知道虚谎的人;人的罪孽,祂虽不留意,还是无所不见。

因为他认识虚谎的人,他看见欺诈,怎能不鉴察?

他洞悉人的虚伪,明察人的罪行,且无不注意。

For He knows men of falsehood, / And He sees iniquity without considering it.

For he hath known men of vanity, And He seeth iniquity, And one doth not consider it!

头脑空洞的人能得知识,那便是野驴的驹子生得像人了。

空虚的人却毫无知识,人生在世好像野驴的驹子。

虚妄的人悟出慧心,就像野驴生子为人。

如此,愚蠢者才可获得智慧,野性驴驹才能变为驯良。

故此空空洞洞的人有心思,野驴驹子也生成为人!

空虚的人若有知识,野驴的驹子就会生成为人。

וְאִ֣ישׁ נָ֭בוּב יִלָּבֵ֑ב וְעַ֥יִר פֶּ֝֗רֶא אָדָ֥ם יִוָּלֵֽד׃

But an empty-headed man acquires intelligence / When the foal of a wild ass is born as a man.

For vain man would be wise, though man be born like a wild ass's colt.

Yet a senseless man will make bold, though man be born [like] the foal of a wild ass.

And empty man is bold, And the colt of a wild ass man is born.
I  
But a witless man can no more become wise than a wild donkey's colt can be born a man.

你若将心安正,伸开双手向祂祷告;

你手里若有罪孽,就当远远地除掉,也不容不义住在你帐棚之中;

And your time here will rise more brightly than the noonday; / Dark though it may be, it will be like the morning.

And thine age shall be clearer than the noonday; thou shalt shine forth, thou shalt be as the morning.

And life shall arise brighter than noonday; though thou be enshrouded in darkness, thou shalt be as the morning,

And above the noon doth age rise, Thou fliest -- as the morning thou art.

Life will be brighter than noonday, and darkness will become like morning.

你因有指望,就必稳固;也必四围巡查,安然歇卧。

And you will be secure, for there is hope; / And you will search about and lie down in security.

And thou shalt be secure, because there is hope; yea, thou shalt dig about thee, and thou shalt take thy rest in safety.

And thou shalt have confidence, because there shall be hope; and having searched about [thee], thou shalt take rest in safety.

And thou hast trusted because their is hope, And searched -- in confidence thou liest down,

Indeed you will lie down, and there will be none to terrify you; / And many will entreat your favor.

Also thou shalt lie down, and none shall make thee afraid; yea, many shall make suit unto thee.

Yea, thou shalt lie down, and none shall make thee afraid; and many shall seek thy favour.

And thou hast rested, And none is causing trembling, And many have entreated thy face;

You will lie down, with no one to make you afraid, and many will court your favor.
伯11:20

但恶人的眼目必要失明,他们无路可逃;他们的指望就是气绝。

但恶人的眼目必昏花,逃亡之路也必断绝,他们的指望就是最后的一口气。”

וְעֵינֵ֥י רְשָׁעִ֗ים תִּ֫כְלֶ֥ינָה וּ֭מָנֹוס אָבַ֣ד מִנְהֶ֑ם וְ֝תִקְוָתָ֗ם מַֽפַּח־נָֽפֶשׁ׃ פ
R  
But the eyes of the wicked will fail, / And fleeing will be lost to them, / And their hope will be to breathe out their life.

But the eyes of the wicked shall fail, and they shall not escape, and their hope shall be as the giving up of the ghost.
D  
But the eyes of the wicked shall fail, and [all] refuge shall vanish from them, and their hope [shall be] the breathing out of life.
Y  
And the eyes of the wicked are consumed, And refuge hath perished from them, And their hope is a breathing out of soul!
I  
But the eyes of the wicked will fail, and escape will elude them; their hope will become a dying gasp."
