(To the choir director: according to the dove on the distant terebinths. Of David. A Michtam, when the Philistines seized him in Gath) Be gracious to me, O God; for man tramples me; / All day long he, fighting, oppresses me.

(To the chief Musician upon Jonathelemrechokim, Michtam of David, when the Philistines took him in Gath.) Be merciful unto me, O God: for man would swallow me up; he fighting daily oppresseth me.

To the Overseer. -- 'On the Dumb Dove far off.' -- A secret treasure of David, in the Philistines' taking hold of him in Gath. Favour me, O God, for man swallowed me up, All the day fighting he oppresseth me,

Be merciful to me, O God, for men hotly pursue me; all day long they press their attack.

埋伏等候我的人，终日践踏我，因逞骄傲攻击我的人甚多。

Those who lie in wait for me trample me all day long, / For many are those who arrogantly fight against me.

Mine enemies would daily swallow me up: for they be many that fight against me, O thou most High.

My slanderers pursue me all day long; many are attacking me in their pride.

我惧怕的时候要信靠你。

我的仇敌终日谋害我，攻击我的人实在众多。

他们终日扭曲我的话；他们一切的计谋，都是要害我。

Will there be deliverance for them in spite of their iniquity? / In anger cast down the peoples, O God.

You have counted my wanderings. / Put my tears into Your bottle. / Are they not in Your book?

我呼求的日子，我的仇敌都要转身退后；神帮助我，这是我所知道的。

Then my enemies will turn back / When I call; / This I know, / That God is for me.

When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me.

因为你救了我的命脱离死亡；你确实救了我的脚不至跌倒，使我在活人的光中行在神面前。

因为你援救了我的性命脱离死亡，你不是救护了我的脚免被推倒，使我得以在上帝面前出入来往于生命之光中么？

(原文56:14)因为你救我的命脱离死亡。你岂不是(保护)我的脚不跌倒、使我在生命光中行在神面前吗？

עָלַ֣י אֱלֹהִ֣ים נְדָרֶ֑יךָ אֲשַׁלֵּ֖ם תֹּודֹ֣ת לָֽךְ׃

For You have delivered my soul from death, / Indeed, my feet from stumbling, / That I may walk before God / In the light of the living.

For thou hast delivered my soul from death: wilt not thou deliver my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living?

For thou hast delivered my soul from death; [wilt thou] not [keep] my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living?

For Thou hast delivered my soul from death, Dost Thou not my feet from falling? To walk habitually before God in the light of the living!

因为你救我脱离死亡，使我的脚免于跌仆，使我能在活人的光明中，在天主面前行走。
